I got them from Angie's List. They came when they were supposed to, and there was slight water in the crack afterwards, and they were quick to come and fix it. The price was fabulous.
Description of Work: I used Crack Attack Waterproofing Team. I last used them last week. They came back because it leaked after they fixed it the first time, and so they came back. They fixed a crack in the basement.

They were fine once I coordinated an appointment with them, it was challenging getting something set up. It took about a month for someone to get out here. They did a nice job, and gave us a thorough assessment. I just felt like they didn't communicate very well.
Description of Work: I had purchased a big deal for Crack Attack Waterproofing Team. He came out and gave an overall assessment and quote on waterproofing the basement, and what he thought the issues were.

I was unaware that the injection ports for the epoxy needed to stay in the wall forever. Not a big deal. The process they offered with the Angies List coupon did not include the carbon staples their brochure highlights. I thought that should have been made clear at the time the work was scheduled or performed, but it was not. I discussed this with them and we agreed to disagree. As the repair has a lifetime transferable guarantee, any problems caused by the lack of staples should be their responsibility. All in all I am pleased with the work performed and the price.

The foam that was supposed to expand ran down in a few spots and I was concerned and they returned and cleaned it off and said that was supposed to happen. I did not want to touch it for fear of messing with the guarantee. They were back in a few days after I called to ask about the expansion that dribbled a little. The the different service men were very professional and knew they job well.
Description of Work: Crack Attack came and repaired a long crack that ran from the top of the basement wall to the floor. Willy drilled holes approx. 8 to 10 inches apart and insert a plastic piece into which he pumped a foam that moved up and down within the crack to fill it. Then he covered the entire area with an appoxy that it guaranteed to for life of this house to be waterproof.

Fantastic experience with Crack Attack. They had a very quick date available for the repair but I was not available. They offered other suggested dates and we settled on one. The technician arrived within minutes of the scheduled time. I was told the repair would take about an hour and the tech was done in less than that. Very friendly and willing to satisfy my curiosity about how the work is done and what to expect in the future. I hope I never have another leaking crack in my basement but if I do I will not hesitate to call them back. Thank you.

I did not find it professional enough. He just did visual inspection and did not check anything in sum pump, he just saw and said its fine. I had lots of concern around the house for water drainage. He had nothing to say about it except its not bad. Otherwise they were punctual, easy to set up appointment.

We had water seepage issues in two areas of our basement during either extremely heavy or very lengthy rains. An initial consultation with Ever-dry Waterproofing told us we needed the works (sump pump, ventilation system, drainage tiles, etc) at a cost of over 15K (complete with lengthy, sleazy sales presentation and high pressure sales tactics like we were buying a used car). We then had two additional estimates, who fortunately found the situation much less dire. We ultimately settled on Crack Attack. After receiving the estimate Friday morning, even offered a $150 Angies List discount that I was unaware of in the price, we scheduled work for the following Tuesday at 1pm. The company called me Tuesday morning at 11 to ask if I could be available earlier as the contractor had finished up his current job early. I told them 12:30 was as early as I could make it, and I arrived a bit earlier than that with the contractor parked outside my house. The contractor was friendly, got straight to work, and finished everything up in a little over an hour as promised. Upon completion, he explained all of the work that was done with me. The real test will be in seeing how this holds up, but in all other criteria, this company has been excellent to work with. Update: The larger crack we had did continue to seep water in a subsequent rain storm. I called the company and they sent someone back out the very next day. It's been dry ever since, in fact I went into the basement to check 4-5 times yesterday during some of the heavy rain yesterday. Not only was there no signs of water, our dehumidifier didn't even need to turn on (this would be running non-stop during rain storms before.

The original date set was 9/27/2014 with an arrival time between 8:00 - 9:00AM. That time had passed and I called the Crack Attack office and they were closed. Around noon, I received a call (my wife actually answered the phone) saying the technician had a job that went long and on the way to my house, their truck had broke down. We re-scheduled the appointment for 10/4/2014. I did receive a call on 9/30/2014 saying that there was a last minute cancellation and they could come out the following morning. However, I can't take off work on short notice so I couldn't take this option. The day before our re-scheduled appointment, 10/3/2014, I received a call from Matt saying that it was forecast to rain on the day of the appointment. And, he said it was not a good idea to be digging a large hole in front of a foundation wall crack during rain. I agreed and again, re-scheduled the appointment for the following Saturday, 10/11/2014. The day of the appointment, the technician came during the scheduled time, explained what he was going to do, and about how long it would take. The work was sufficient. However, not only was the crack supposed to be patched, but the mulch in front of the foundation wall was supposed to be sloped away from the house, towards the closest side of the house; this was not done and I didn't notice it until after the technician left. Also, as I was writing out the check, the technician said that he was extremely sick originally and that was why he couldn't come to my house the first weekend, 9/27/2014. The technician said he didn't feel comfortable doing work as sick as he was. Coincidentally, this technician was driving a truck. I just felt it odd that my wife was told one thing, and the technician was telling me something totally different. Overall, the quality of work was good. I just knocked down the score for Punctuality and Professionalism due to the mishap on 9/27/2014, and what the technician told me on the day services were performed, 10/11/2014.

After noticing 2 areas of mold in my basement on the foundation I called a plumber, because I thought the mold was from a leaking pipe. After the plumber told me I didn't have a leaking pipe I decided to call Crack Attack, looking at their customer satisfaction rating on Angie's List. Crack Attack was very accommodating and prompt when scheduling an appointment. They called before they came to my house and even showed up early! After inspecting the foundation and mold spots in my basement the service provider was very honest and helpful with me. He told me that I could take care of the mold spots myself, and told me the steps to take to do so. The service provider was clearly very professional, honest, and trustworthy. He told me how to prevent this problem in the future. The service that Crack Attack provided made me feel like I was in good hands; I cannot praise them enough for their honesty and expertise. I would highly recommend their services!!

While I decided not to move forward with waterproofing, I've kept their information and will definitely recommend and use if the situation changes.
Description of Work: Accommodated my need for immediate review by a waterproofing company and sent Matt out. He was very knowledgeable looked at the walls, listened to what I was explaining and then he spoke with me about the various options available to me. He was very polite, respectful and not once did I feel that I was being talked down to when I asked questions or asked for time to think about my options.

The Good The team of 8 workers showed up in 7 trucks at 8 a.m.. They worked tirelessly for 12 straight hours. They pulled the toilet, washer, dryer, and sink to get access to area needed. They ran multiple jack hammers in the basement to break out the entire foundation perimeter (130 linear ft) one foot from the exterior foundation wall, trenched and installed new drain tile, filled, covered with a plastic barrier, pasted foundation cracks, ran drainboard up walls, and had to install new sump pump with water ejection pipes since code had changed since the home was built. They had to install many feet of pipe to a new location and crawl in a dark, cramped, scary crawlspace to put in the new pipes. They coordinated inspector to be on site at 4 p.m., and after approved inspection, re-concreted the trench. The concrete mixer was on the front lawn and these guys filled and carried 5 gallon buckets of concrete in both hands down the stairs, poured them in the trench, and then up the stairs for refills. Over and over, non-stop for 2 hours. I have never seen harder work and they had great attitudes. They swept up and kept everything as clean as they could for such a dirty job. I simply can't say enough nice things about the work that was done. Because of this I give them an overall A grade. Where They Need to do Much Better First appointment was rescheduled the night before with a future date set for more than 2 weeks out. When the day came, there was no call ahead of time and I wasn't sure they were coming out. At 7:45 a.m., I called the salesman who said the crew was on its way. I had left a message on the answering machine the evening before and assumed they talked to the salesman, but they never called me to check if everything was confirmed with me. When they are coordinating with the inspectors and sending that many workers with equipment to the house, it seems to me a confirmation call would be good business practice. When we arranged the first work date, the salesman said I needed to give a deposit but after calling more than 4 times to pay the deposit (almost always an answering machine when calling there), I got a returned call once (maybe twice) I think and figured it wasn't my job to chase them down to pay them. They still came out so a deposit wasn't needed. After the work was done, the concrete was wet so they couldn't put the washer, dryer, toilet, and sink back and had to hook up the new pump. I called the salesman to ask when they were coming back and he told me it was the homeowner's responsibility to put everything back since the concrete is wet when they leave. I objected and they came out the next business morning to take care of putting everything back and hooking everything back up. Don't expect a confirmation call and get a date when they will be back to put everything back together. Bottom line: Don't let this customer service explanation undermine what was excellent quality of work by the workers. I can't say enough about the 1-day job effort. The team that was there was first rate.

This was for my Mom's home. They did me a big favor fitting me in the schedule within a few days, while other providers told me it could be weeks just for an estimate. I explained that it was my Mom's house and I only had this particular day off and they squeezed me in. I watched for some time and they did a thorough job opening up the cracks so that the adhesive and injections would work well. They cleaned up well.

At first, crack attack did an amazing Job of coming out to the church and offering very cheap and potentially pro bono work to solve the issue. Unfortunately, after this occurred we went into a black hole. After weeks of repeated attempts to get the work scheduled, we were completely ignored. Very disappointing and frustrating!

Six guys worked on this and finished in one day. We haven't had any big rains since but they seemed to know what they were doing. They were knowledgable, courteous and they cleaned up afterwards. They disconnected the washing machine, the dryer and the utility sink to complete the job. Then the concrete had to set for 5 days. But we weren't told this in advance. They told us the charge to come back and reconnect would be pretty expensive. Had we known we could have made arrangements in advance to have someone make the reconnections.

When I reached the crack attack scheduler, the estimator's schedule was very busy, and my appointment was made two weeks in advance. I waited for the appointment date to have no call no show. A full week past, and the estimator, Matthew, calls to tell me that he is confirming my appointment for 8-days later. He then followed saying the charge for a crack fill is $500, but will give me $50 off to avoid visiting to provide an estimate. I waited almost three weeks to find out no one needed to look at the crack and they'd charge $450 for the service. I made it clear to Matthew that they missed the bid process because of their missed scheduled appointment.

Therefore, I ask for my money back from Angie's List you said it was too late. That I would have to find another way to spend the money, buy another certificate etc. . . You guy's are more of the problem than Crack Attack.
Description of Work: Came to the house and appraised the situation. Offered a remedy that was not our first choice. The reason I purchased the angies list certificate was because I thought I would be charged for the estimate/information. When every other company estimating and reviewing our issue did not charge, and I did not get a written report from the Crack Attack people, I called and was told to ask for my money back. That they had created that coupon to fulfill an obligation with Angies List to be one of the Premier Companies on the List and that it did not have a written report, they could make one if I wanted, but that it was an estimate generally and that they don't charge for estimates. Therefore, I ask for my money back
