McWhorter Construction

This company has been extremely disappointing. I started a roof repair job with McWhorter Construction in August of 2015. When I first started working with them the contact point was a man named Dexter, who provided me a quote and scheduled the work. It took until December of 2015 (5 months) to do the initial repair which was ripping off shingles, putting in ice and water protection, then re-flashing and shingling the roof around our chimney. After completing the repair, they were paid in full, and I held off on repairing the inside to ensure that the repair worked, but sadly it did not. I understand that a roof leak can be hard to track down so that isn't the reason for my rating. I have spent the past year and a half trying to get them to come back and completely fix the repair. The few times that they came back out they put more black jack around the new flashing and on the singles to solve the issue with no luck. Finally, mid-May, I spoke with John McWhorter, the owner. He informed me that he would send a crew in the next couple of weeks to complete a cricket in front of the chimney to help resolve the issue once and for all. He was also going to split the repair cost with me since I had gone through all of this hassle and that was more than reasonable to me. Since that date I have reached out several times via email, phone, and text to him with absolutely no response. I have also reached out to their office via emails I had exchanged with them throughout the process and through their website online. At this point it seems that they are going to completely ignore this job and I will be forced to go with another company for the repair. I would not recommend McWhorter's Construction based on the experience I have had with them, they are completely unresponsive.
