Keane Sweep Chimney & Gutter Service

I called and left a message that I needed my gutters cleaned. Got a call back asking for my address; called back and left a message with my address. Got a call back saying I was on a list for the middle of the following week. The following week goes by, no one shows up. Hmmm. I'd used these guys before with no problem. It's now 12/21; these gutters have to get cleaned out before the weather freezes again. I called, left a message that no one had been here yet. I got a call back saying I was "on the list" again. The message also said that the caller didn't know whom I had talked to; that struck me as odd, since I had talked to the caller. So I called, got this caller, and explained that I had spoken to her, and no one had shown up. The guys came the next day, did the job quickly and well, and for a reasonable price. It wasn't until after they left that I noticed that they had dumped the gutter gunk into my yard waste barrel (a good thing), but they put it in the barrel still in plastic garbage bags (a bad thing). I can get fined for having plastic in my yard barrel, so I had to get the bags out, dump the stuff back in the barrel, and throw the bags into the garbage barrel. I would use these guys again, but I'd keep closer tabs on when they show up, and what they do with the gutter gunk when they're finished. They've been great before, so this might be an outlier.

Only negative comment I have is that provider is often too busy to provide immediate service. Recently, it has not been unusual to wait weeks for an appointment. However, this is simply an indication that provider is widely recognized for providing consistently good, reasonably priced service.

When I called, I left a detailed message of what I needed done. When he called me back, it was obvious that he had not listened to my message. He told me he usually only works in the Beverly area, which seemed to indicate he didn't want to come to Homewood where I live. I asked if he could recommend someone in my area to which he replied "me". I didn't have a good feeling about it, but we went ahead and set up an appointment for him to come to my house for an estimate. The appointment was for September 24 at 8:30 a.m. He never showed up and never called.

They did a terrific job, did it quickly, and cleaned up all of the muck. Can't ask for more than that!

Sean answered my call and told me the service would be done in two weeks. It was completed a week later and I was pleasantly surprised. They did a great job cleaning the gutters and cleaning up after themselves. The gutter cleaning was $75. I asked them to cut a few branches overhanging and laying on my garage which they did for another $25. The price to me was very reasonable. I will definitely use them again next year!

I didn't have to be there when the work was done and I sent them a check, which I thought was very convenient. They were also very professional.

We originally agreed on $100, but they came out and found a blockage and charged me over $200.

They were on time, very efficient, and thorough.

I really like them. I just had the gutters cleaned, but it was a two-storey house and they need to pep up the ladder. I really like, when they come, I do not have to be home. They can just bill me. They are real easy to work with. My gutters are clean now. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

Mr. Sean Keane has cleaned our chimneys & gutters for over 15 years. His work is thorough. He is ALWAYS prompt...and cost effective. Those are the three reasons we've hired him for so many years. He's also the contractor most used by our neighbors. It is a pleasure to do business with him.

Gave them a call and in 2 days they were out to clean out the gutters on my house & garage. No appt. necessary, they just come out even if you're not home and simply leave an invoice in your mailbox. I uses these guys atleast twice a year and am never dissapointed.

I just call them and know that they'll come out when they are supposed to. They do clean up after themselves. They are professional and always keep to the estimate they give me.

After the servicing, I noticed no change in the efficiency of my dryer. After continued sluggish performance from my dryer, I had an appliance repair person come to see why it wasn't functioning properly. The appliance expert found several cups of water and A LOT of lint in the exhaust tube that runs from the back of the dryer to the lip of the pipe to the outside. There was nothing wrong with the dryer electronically. Keane sweep obviously did not do a thorough job of what I hired them to do -- clean my dryer vent to make it more efficient. I didn't realize that I would have to specify to these "experts" to clean the ENTIRE venting system, nor did they mention that they only do part of it. It cost me an additional $110 to the appliance specialist to find this out. When I called Sean Keane to express my consternation about the situation & see how he would ameliorate things, he told me he was bad at customer service (this is obvious), that I am stupid & that I am crazy.

I called the company, set up a 2 pm appointment. At 7 am I left the house to run errands. I returned at 10 am and found their business card on my mailbox. I called them multiple times. There was no one to answer phones, I left two messages. No one called to cancel or confirm; I received no notice at all. I ended up taking the day off for nothing.

They did a great job at a good price. They created no mess. The owner gave us very helpful advice about our chimney and other work that needs to be done.

Left message requesting an estimate and got a response within two days. Work was scheduled for the next day (weather permitting). They were early, worked quickly, and left no mess. I had left to run an errand before they were scheduled to arrive and they came while I was gone. I knew they were there because the invoice was left in the mail slot. I'm able to see in one part of the gutters from a 2nd story window and it was clean. They also left a note regarding a down spout elbow that was inaccessible. In response to my call Sean came back the next day to explain the problem and advised what would be involved to get at that spot.
