+ -1 moreAgain, this is not a referral for moving work - but a referral for the company because the owner did me a great favor one morning - and I believe that such acts by Good Samaritans need to be rewarded and his good karma needs to be acknowledged and passed on.
Description of Work: This is a slightly odd submission - but I've been wanting to do it for a few years. Sydney's Smart Move did not help me move, but owner Doc McClellon helped me in a time of great need. I was stuck one morning at the Lakeview Library in Peoria. For some reason my battery had died - and I was alone with my two little boys and desperate to leave to pick up my husband at O'Hare Airport. A gentleman pulled up - to drop his books off as well - and offered to help get my van started. It was not just your usual battery jump, there were alternator issues and Doc had to tinker with the engine a bit to get the darn thing going. But he did everything, got my van started and was so nice and kind to a slightly panicked mother. I tried to offer him $20 for his trouble, but he refused and handed me his card and asked me to give him a call if we were moving or refer him to a friend. If his candor and complete willingness to help out a stranger in need are any indication of his business and work ethic - I recommend Sydney's Smart Move very, very highly.
