Some of the siding work was contracted out to unskilled workers. As a result the siding blows off during high wind storms on the higher levels. The staircases all leak when it rains and umbrellas are needed to keep from getting wet. We withheld a final payment and had to hire an attorney to resolve the issues with an arbatration judge making the final decision. Also had to hire a building consultant to determine how to proceed with repairs. The repair work was to have been finished by Thanksgiving 2011 but despite a partial payment from the final settlement, nothing has happened to date March 2012.
Description of Work: Phil Schlindler was hired to install siding on a 36 unit condo along with building six staircases that need replacement to meet current code.

Originally hired this contractor upon advice of my architect. Good advice. Have now used him over several years on work costing several times this recently completed work. As work progressed and various options for work were explored for these (and other prior projects) the scope of work was continuously evolving. Contractor showed great patience in costing various alternatives for me so I always knew costwise where I stood. He also costed out various projects for me so I could prioritize them in a sensible and cost sensitive manner. He was always reachable by phone and always carried out work in a timely manner. He was sensitive to making sure I was totallly satisfied with the completed work, which was always firstrate.
