+ -1 moreI feel I must answer the 8/1/2018 review. In his review he failed to mention that the entryway to the crawl space is through an outside window, the crawl space is 22 inches deep & there is 2-3 inches of human waste at the bottom which meant the plumber would have to crawl on his stomach to fix the problem. Our plumber turned down the job & our friend was not charged for anything. Our plumber was trying to find a company that could help him. Our friend was understandably upset with his plumbing issue but to give our plumber a horrible review is uncalled for especially when he neglected to state all the facts. My husband & I have used Peoria Heights Plumbing for over ten years. Jeff, the owner, came to our rescue when we had several inches of water in our crawl space & he has been our plumber ever since. We will continue to use Jeff/Peoria Heights Plumbing & refer them to our friends. They are honest & dependable.

+ -1 moreI called on a Monday and a young kid came out. He said I would receive a call from the owner with an estimate. Never heard from them on Monday or Tuesday!! I called on Wednesday and was told they talked about it but the owner could not fit in my crawl space and the "other guys" said they would go home than do the job!!! This is what I was told!! I was absolutely floored. There were not even going to give me a call to let me know!! I was recommended to them by a friend. I WOULD NEVER recommend them to anyone and neither will my friend. The most UNPROFESSIONAL company I have ever dealt with. I am contacting the BBB and posting on their Facebook page!!

I called on a Thursday evening, they called me back 8:30a.m. Friday and were at my house by 8:45a.m. Jeff, the owner, was the man and he did excellent work. His estimated time of service was accurate and he cleaned up his mess. I will definitely hire again!

+ -1 moreThis is the first time we’ve used them and we were very impressed and pleased with the work. Next time we have a plumbing problem, PHP will be the first ones we call.
Description of Work: Met owner Jeff when he came to my work place to fix a plumbing problem. Walking in the door, Jeff showed his great sense of humor by starting out with “What stinks in here?” and then in under a minute, he solved the plumbing problem that had been baffling various plumbers for years! I needed several shut off valves to my house replaced and he gave me a quote with a very reasonable cost, I just needed to call his office and schedule the date. In summary, what was supposed to be only 4 shut off valves replaced, ended up being 9 valves, several new flex lines, plus the garage spigot replacement, a new bathroom faucet installed, and a new ice cube water line put in (the line just happened to break a few days before, flooding the laundry room). It took a day and a half to do as several of the areas were very narrow and hard to work in. Everything was completed in a timely matter with quality work done in everything. The technician who did the actual work was nice, professional, also had a sense of humor, answered my questions with a smile, and always gave me several options when options were called for (i.e. the bathroom faucet).

+ 0 moreIt went great. Plumber was very nice and put me at ease - I even recommended him to my sister when she had bath faucet issues and backed up sewer lines - and she was very pleased also.
Description of Work: In December of 2014 I had to buy new washer and the washers now have high pressure drainage. My pipe behind washer could not handle the pressure and backflowed up out of pipe. Had it fixed the very next morning. He came and replaced the pipe and made sure washer would drain properly. Excellent in all aspects of service. It took less than an hour and I was more than happy with the price. I gladly paid due to great job and very comfortable knowing the job was done right.

This was my second time of service with this company and a different plumber came out each time. Both of the gentlemen where very nice and gave very good information on what was being done to the plumbing. I also want to add that the plumbers gave additional information on the plumbing and what to watch for. The price of the job was very competitive to the market and I will be doing business with this company for future work that needs to be done.

+ 0 moreCalled at 9:30 am and he was there at 10 am, exactly as promised. Looked at leak and showed me where it was leaking and explained why I needed a new water heater. We discussed the different brands and I am convinced his recommendation was the best. The removal of the old one was a mess and he cleaned it up completely. He was there about 3 hours including the time to go get the new water heater. He was very professional and explained everything to me as I was watching the whole process. I will definitely use him again.

Before he started working on our plumbing issue, he took the time to describe fully and show us the parts he would be using to repair our problem. He completed the project in 1 1/2 hours. I will continue to use Peoria Heights Plumbing in the future.

+ -1 moreEverything went perfectly, then I screwed up when the water heater started to leak.2013. Called different plumber to replace, and he refused to warranty the leaking unit. Contacted Jeff and even though no business for him, he took care of the claim. It is sad that businesses like Peoria Heights Plumbing are becoming rare. This review does not stand alone-I have seen great work by Jeff in our neighborhood, and the response is always "punctual, reasonably priced, and friendly".

They would not look for other things that could potentially be a problem. They will tell me if there is something that they think is needed to be fixed but they are not going to tell me something that I know that is not really broken.

+ -1 moreCalled the company (because of the high ratings on Angie's list) to ask if they installed gas pipes for new stoves.(I called the previous evening after 4:30pm. Other companies don't even bother to answer the phone). The gal that answered was extremely pleasant and even kept her word to call me back that evening to let me know when someone would be available for the install. She actually called back within 15 minutes and my husband was able to ask a few questions. The service guy came propmtly the next day at the time he said he would. The installation took a little longer than expected...old house. However, the service guy was pleasant and comfortable to be around and knowledgeable of his profession. I was a little nervous about what I thought the price would be, but it was very reasonable and we will definitely use this company again! We were not disappointed!
Description of Work: Purchased new stove and old copper gas pipe had to be replaced.

+ 0 moreIt's been a few years since I needed plumbing help, so I apologize that I can't provide how much I spent nor an accurate date.I walked past my basement steps and looked down, and saw water reaching up to the 1st step.It was a Sunday morning.I knew it had to be the sump pump that failed.I didn't have a plumber in mind, just started going through the phone book.Most either didn't answer and said I had to wait till Monday, or pay a hefty 'weekend' fee.When Peoria Heights Plumbing answered, he said he would go to his shop and see if he hada pump. If not, then I would have to wait till Monday because all suppliers were closed.About a 1/2 hour later he simply showed up at my house with a new sump pump.He immediately went to work, and shortly had the new pump working and he was sweeping the watertoward it and trying to clean up residual water.He stayed until all the water was gone and he was sure it was all working.I found him to be very professional, calm, knowledgeable, fast, and very conscientious in making surethe basement was as dry as could be under the circumstances.Will definitely call on him again for any plumbing issues.

+ -1 moreFantastic. The person that answered the phone is not only the receptionist, she knows plumbing. They couldn't have a better face for the company.
Description of Work: Called to get an appointment. The scheduler ask me to describe my issue. After describing my issue to her she recommended I call a different plumber as they MAY not have the proper equipment to do the repair. She then gave me the contact info to a plumber that had the proper equipment.This is the way business should be done. She could have sent a plumber out and got an easy service call but didn't. She did the right thing and we all know that is getting more difficult to find today. I love these guys and cant wait until someone tells me they need a plumber.
