P & W Builders Inc

Before you hire them get a lawyer to protect your money, they have been sued 3 times since 2014, with one judgement for over $300,000.00. They did not put all the anchors in the house foundation to secure it, as the IBC 2006 and City of Pekin Illinois calls for. The roof is unlevel and not built to any blueprint. I would not have them build me a doghouse or even hire them. Poor QUALITY House and they do not do as the their contract is written. p&w were terminated from building my home any more in september. i had hired inspectors to inspect the inside and outside of my home for problems. and they found many problems with the inside of the home. update 7-17-15 have been in court with p&w since they were fired almost 2 years ago condition of my house has gotten worse should be in trial at end of year if anyone wants to come see this house message me and you are more than welcome to come look at it to make your own judgement one of the worst experiences I have ever been through p&w would not fix anything on my home all brick needs to be replaced on house,foundation concrete slab is cracked in several places,insulation issues,plaster cracks in serveral places. someone who has been in business for 65 years building homes

Went to review proposed plans and asked to use the restroom. There were multiple stacks of Playboy, Hustler, and Penthouse that could be seen. Unacceptable.

We love our new home! They were very accommodating and allowed us to do some of our own work, without rushing us. I would recommend them to others without hesitation.

For the first time, we bought an existing home and decided to remodel. Our previous four homes were all new construction. We wanted a reputable company to work with and chose P&W Builders to remodel our kitchen, build and install a new railing and several other projects. We made a great decision. They did a great job with each of the projects, finished on-time and within our budget. I would highly recommend P&W Builders for your remodeling project.

Our home is pretty well built. We had a 1 year warranty with the home, and only utilized it for some plaster repairs and grouting repair. P & W doesn't want to rush building your home, but it took 7 months from breaking ground to moving in. There were some weeks that nothing was being done on the home (we were paying interest on a loan and nothing was being done!). They never complained to us when we would change something up (nothing big), always answered the phones and promptly gave us an answer. Some of the subcontractors weren't as great. I would call up P & W if something was not right. We had a broom stolen by a sub, and P & W bought us a new one when we closed on the home. They will work with you and let you know where to cut corners or things you can do yourself. They did pressure us a bit when we were showing interest in building, saying that "prices will be raised soon!" to hurry us into signing on the dotted line. If I were to every build again (which I don't want to!), I am 50/50 split if I would use P & W. We have learned we are not fans of plastered walls (P & W will not do traditional drywall on the walls), and the lag time from start to finish was disappointing. This was before the housing "bust" in Peoria, so take that with a grain of salt. We have gotten alot of complements from friends and neighbors that our house looks great! Even random people have driven by and asked us who built the house because it looks great! The landscaping we did all on our own, so the curb appeal is partly from the owners.
