I took the computer in to Nerds On Call, and the work was done in a timely manner. I did have to take it back once as I continued to have the same problem, but they took it back and fixed it quickly at no additional charge.

This is the second time I've going to the "nerds" for help with my PCs. Each time they quickly pull all the data I need, run diagnostics and then report to me in detail about the problem and my repair options. They are easy to talk to and very accommodating.

Took computer to the Peoria store late December 2010. They gave me an estimate of cost to repair and estimated time of completion. Note: Apple computers are expensive to both purchase and repair and I had checked on the internet and their price was in line. Received a call the week of December 20th concerning the hard drive. They said it was noisy and although not necessary, they recommeded replacing. Since a new MacBook costs $1,000, I agreed to still repair the computer. Picked up the computer on Jan 4, 2011 and paid the $480 invoice. I repeat, Apple parts are expensive and the majority of cost was for parts. They have a 30 day return policy for problems and on February 5th when starting up, the screen was blank with vertical lines. I called and they said although past the 30 days, they would diagnose the problem at no charge. Based on their analysis, they said there were other issues, most likely in the processor and did not recommend putting any more money into it. They said they would remove all the new parts they had installed and refund my money except for the initial $45.00 diagnostic charge. Although I did not get the computer repaired, I was pleased with how they handled situation. They took care of the customer and I will definitely use them again if I have computer issues. Note: I gave them A's for responsiveness and punctuality because they were close to the estimates they gave me for fixing the computer. They appear to be busy as there were many computers waiting to be picked up. I would not expect to get a computer fixed in a day or two.

An unfortunate accident broke the monitor of my son's laptop. After calling for estimates to repair including the manufacturer (highest) I decided Nerds on Call was competitive and convenient. Dropped off laptop mad picked it up on the early side of the promised time at the quoted price. Repair was perfect.
