The project manager from Lowe's, Josh, was helpful and friendly throughout the process. My other interactions with Lowe's staff were good as well. I was happy with the work of S.F. Pauli Builders, Inc. that Lowe's contracted. Ronnie from there was professional and friendly. He kept me up to date on the progress and who was going to be out at my place and when.

I like them. The quality and materials was pretty good. I think the price was fair. I was unhappy with the nucleus time it took from the time I paid till the time we actually started the work. They didn't really start when they said they were going to.

I requested a fence quote online and a guy came to my house April 17, 2014 to quote a fence and deck. I chose a cedar fence and he asked for payment that day. I gave him my payment information and signed a contract. I did not hear anything until the 1st of may when the installer came to measure. I asked him when he would be able to install the fence. He said "about 4 weeks. That would take me until the end of May. I thought ...perfect...we will possibly have a fence for Memorial Day weekend. Someone called from Lowes installation dept. on May 15 and said ...good news...your supplies will be in on May 19th and then we will schedule the install. I called back on the 21st to ask if the stuff came in and they the guy on the phone was short and said it is scheduled to come in on the 24th of May. (Uggh). I called and talked to the manager. He said that he called the installer and that the installer would call me in a few days. If he didn't to call him back. The installer did not call me back so I called the installation dept at Lowes again. "Good News" she said, " We have scheduled your install for June 24th. My beef is that Lowe's was not honest with me from the beginning. If it takes 10 weeks from order date to install then tell me that. I believe being dishonest when your are taking money from someone is theft of a sort. I understand that sometime things go wrong but according to Lowes nothing went wrong. It is just that the procedure is bad. Why does it take 5 weeks for fencing supplies to reach the store? Why do they wait for the supplies to come in to order the install? Hopefully by the 24th of June I will finally have a fence and hopefully the installer will do a good job but I do not have high hopes at this point. I will keep you updated.

I had a very unpleasant experience with them. They are incompetent according to me. The people who sent the material and did the job were good, but, the people who handled it were very bad. I was very unhappy and will not use their services again.

Overall, it went well. At first, the company that Lowe's contracted with called House Doctors had awful communication, difficulty with scheduling, and some other issues that I could not recall. Lowe's transferred the work to another company called B &M out of Eureka. They were prompt, courteous, and professional. They did a great job installing the windows. However, I noticed that some of the window screens were torn, which was through no fault of B&M. Lowe's stood by their guarantee and replaced all of the torn screens free of charge. Then in 2008, I had another window installed by the same company. They did a great job, in fact, an even better job.
