Description of Work: We have a service contract with them. They came out to do our annual AC maintenance. That gets you a discounted rate on services for any emergencies. They're always great about getting preventive stuff set up and super responsive when you do have an emergency.

+ -1 moreWhen it was time for our heating inspection, Fritch called and set up an appointment at our convenience. On the day of the appointment we were called prior to their arrival to let us know they were on the way. The service person (Sergio) was friendly, efficient and thorough. When he was finished, he took the time to clearly explain the work plus answer our questions about the shut off thermostat we had installed. We have used Fritch for many years and have never had anything but satisfaction with their service.
Description of Work: Checked heat pump and air handler. Installed new air filter. Explained how the shut off thermostat worked and reset the the shut off temperature. Gave advice on how to get the best use of the shut off to prevent high heating costs.

Description of Work: My tenant was leaving work when the repairman arrived but reported that Ken was very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The unit needed to be "recharged," which I think means that he added freon? Anyway, it turned out that Ken happens to live just a few doors down from the house I vacated and rented out last summer, and Becky, my dear next-door neighbor there, also ended up being the person who handled the processing of my order! I joined Angie's List to find someone I could trust in my absence to handle this and other issues as they arise from now on. How delightful for me that one of the best HVAC companies in the area also led me back to these personal associations! (I think it was a divine appointment : )

+ -1 moreI got a manufacturer's rebate when I bought the unit. Their service guys arrive on time and are polite. They pick up after themselves and do what they say they are going to do. I have used them in the past; the guy who owns it lives up the street from me. I have had no issues with their quality. They have always handled the HVAC at my house and my mother had bought the previous air conditioner and furnace from them.
Description of Work: I used Fritch Heating & Cooling to install a new furnace.

+ -1 moreThe tech that came out on Tuesday was VERY helpful. Apparently, based on the ticket on the unit, he had serviced it 20 years ago. He had an apprentice with him and he was very professional with him. I was absolutely impressed with the manner in which he was teaching.
Description of Work: Had a repair tech come out to service 2 A/C units and find out why the larger of the 2 kept popping a circuit breaker. Thought he had it fixed, but it popped again right after he left. Had another tech come out on Tuesday andhe did a more thorough evaluation, found the problem and repaired it.

It is a service agreement that we pay $100 and they come out here to check the furnace and if there is anything really wrong, that is also included in the $100 unless it is like you need a new furnace or a new air conditioner. They are professional and they really know what they are doing.

In Novemeber of 2011 we asked them to do the initial inspection and to set up an annual maintenance plan for our new house. We highly recommend Fritch.

+ -1 moreThey come twice a year for cleaning the air-conditioner and the furnace. They do once in the winter and once in the summer and then they guarantee it. It is a pretty good deal. They are real friendly and do what they say they are going to do and no more or no less. They come on time and they let you use the same guy and it’s not a stranger as you know him. He knows the equipment really well and what he tuned has not gone yet. He is very honest and above board.

+ -1 moreThe serviceman came out to my house at the exact time that was told. Actually he arrived a little earlier. I showed him the work to be done and away he went. The whole project took him 2.5 hours. He was efficient, friendly, professional, and cleaned up after himself. The work was done cleanly and I have no complaints whatsoever. A great experience overall and I would reccomend them to anyone.
Description of Work: He had to run a bathrrom vent out to the side of the house and bore through brick. He also had to replace a canvas piece of duct work with sheet metal.

+ -1 moreI had a bad experience on the phone and was basically told I could not be a customer with them any longer. There had been a mix-up with their service man and his charges. I had wanted a winter AND summer contract, and I never noticed they only charged for a winter one. When I inquired about getting them to come out for the summer check-up, they were rude over the phone and told me they would not do it. I asked about renewing and they told me I could not. I even contacted the owner explaining what had happened and never heard back from him. I was very disappointed as I had had good experiences in the past. I guess they didn't need my money.
Description of Work: I no longer use the services of Fritch Heating & Cooling Inc.

+ -1 moreWe never know how it is going to go when we hire a business, sort of feel we are at their mercy~ hoping they are honest and do a good job repairing something in our home. This was a pleasant experience and we would definately recommend this company to all for service work on furnaces.
Description of Work: Our furnace is about 8yrs old and when we started it up this year only the fan worked but no heat. We called Fritch Heating and Air from a positve recommendation from another family member who has had them do work at their house and business. The lady on the phone was very pleasant and scheduled and appt the same day for a serviceman to come out to the house. The lady from their office phoned to say they were on their way later in the morning. A very nice, polite serviceman recommended a new thermostat, replaced it and now the furnace runs fine!!

They also service our humidifier that is part of our furnace. We've had good luck with them for the last 20 years. Their prices are good. We absolutely will continue to use them.

+ -1 moreDid proper measuring of house, duct work, load calculations, etc. Estimate took longer than I anticipated solely because it was done right. Compared to other companies I had out quoting, they did a much more complete job sizing the system, providing me options, looking outside, in the crawl space, checking duct sizes, discussing windows, insulation, and other factors that affect the heat/cooling load. Quote price was higher than other estimates, but the equipment was better and properly sized. Will probably end up hiring them.
Description of Work: Estimate to replace 50 year old furnace and 20 year old AC.

+ -1 moreEverything about this experience was great! The tech was very friendly and showed up early to the appointment (he beat me home). In addition to recharging the unit, he also checked for leaks. After verifying that the valve caps were leaking, he replaced them at no charge. Additionally, he ended up charging me the minimum trip + hourly service charge, even though he a little extra time working on the unit. Fritch's service rates are higher than other companies in the area, but the slightly higher cost was well worth it because they were competent and did good work.
