Bob Schmitt C.P.A.

I live in a cluster home built by Bob Schmitt homes. It will be 7yrs. old this September. I heard dripping water between my wall on 6/21/11. My windows were not wrapped (lack of flashing) which enabled moisture to get between the vinyl siding and the plywood. I complained to Mike Schmitt, CEO about the problem on 6/22/11 and invited him to come over and see the damage. The contractor was here for 1-1/2 days wrapping the windows and replacing rotting plywood. Mr. Schmitt did not respond to me. He is saying I called an outside contractor instead of contacting him.. I did notify him on 6/22/11. His people inspected a majority of custer homes in November of 2010 and they said everything was fine. This damage did not occur over a 6-month time frame.. Since his inspection job was done poorly, and he hires only subconractors since he does not have his own workers, I hired a contractor who has done repairs of the same kind for other homerowners in this cluster developement. Mr. Schmitt is aware of this leaking problem because others homeowners have brought it to his attention and he has seen the damage first hand. I paid $740.00 to fix the leaks and I am asking for $360.00 from him. As I told him, this is more than fair compensation that I am asking for from him. If he would have fixed it for me he would have spent more than $360.00

Great Service. House done on time. Completely custom. They helped keep us on budget during the planning of the home, without any extras later. Overall quality was great, but did have a few small items that never got repaired. (very minor, did myself) Great job. Would use again.

IT TOOK ALMOST 2 FULL YEARS TO BUILD OUR HOUSE AND SOME OF THE ISSUES HAVE NOT BEEN RESOLVED YET.
