Argo's Appliance

I was impressed by this company a couple years back. I had problems with my dryer and they were able to answer my questions on the telephone. This time when I called, I described my problem and Kevin came out as soon as he could get here. He told me how to empty the washer of the standing water before he came out. I was really glad of that! He called me exactly when he said that he would and was here just minutes later. My problem was a quick fix and he didn't waste any time getting right to it. He saved me a huge amount by just making a repair rather than having to go to the cost and time of getting a new part. I can't say enough good things about this company. They are a true representative of great customer service and honest pricing!

Argo is the third appliance repair service I had contacted. The previous two didn't show and didn't call me to reschedule. By the time I called Argo I had low expectations. the person I talked to first asked me to try two different levels of water in the machine to see if we could tell which part might be failing. He then calculated low and high repair estimates in case I might want to just buy another one. The high repair estimate is still about half what a new machine cost and that included labor, parts and service call. I made the appointment and set a time for two days later and was told I would get a call before they came. The repairman, Kevin, called 30 minutes earlier than I expected and he said if that was too early he could wait until the scheduled time. That was not necessary and I got there around the same time he did. So far so good. He took the machine apart and checked all of the likely problem areas but couldn't find a problem with the pump or the seal which were the things I thought were the problem because they were the most expensive parts. So he looked further. He listened to what I described and based on that, focused on that part of the machine. He inadvertently solved the problem before we identified exactly what caused it. As he was checking the different fittings and hoses he tightened up one of the hoses that had been causing the leak. I am so happy - the service call price was reasonable - I had been quoted $40 to $125 just to come to the house, and he fixed the problem. Efficient, polite, professional. I would highly recommend Argo Appliance and their repairman Kevin.
