Katrina is very helpful and working very hard to help us find a home. She has been very willing to take us to look at multiple homes and is helping to find us a bank to get us financing. Katrina is very professional and quick to respond. I am very glad that we decided to call Katrina and will recommend her to anyone who is looking to buy or sell a house. She is very helpful with finding a home that meets your criteria. She is always available and was even willing to help while she was gone on vacation. Even over the course of the five months that we looked while trying to get my credit sorted out she was always willing to show us homes even though we hadn't been pre approved for a loan. She then helped me to find a lender who was very helpful as well. If you are looking to buy our sell a home, you will have a hard time finding anyone who is as nice or will work as hard to help you as Katrina is.
Description of Work: Katrina is helped us find a great home.

an itinerary and map of the homes we were going to view. The viewings went well, and by our second round of home viewings (another 5 or 6 homes the following day) she had a sense of what we were looking for in a home, even if we didn't exactly know for sure. This was our first home purchase, so we had a TON of questions about every step of the process. Katrina was incredibly kind an professional and walked us through every single step. We viewed the home we eventually purchased on a rainy Sunday. Katrina texted me in advance that we would be taking our shoes on and off a lot because of the rain, so we should wear shoes that were easy to take on and off. I was a bit afraid to view the home we eventually purchased because the price was a little outside of our budget, but Katrina assured us that we should see the home. We fell in love with it! We were even able to purchase the home on our budget! Now that we've purchased the home, Katrina has remained in contact with me to remind me of details like the timing of the home inspection, termite inspection, etc. I would highly recommend Katrina to anyone looking to purchase or sell a home. I don't plan on moving or selling my home, but if I ever do, I will definitely use Katrina as my realtor again.
Description of Work: Katrina has been an absolutely outstanding realtor! My fiancee and I were in the market to purchase our first home. The first realtor we contacted was from a website that I was using to view homes was not the most responsive because he also worked as a builder and our schedules conflicted more often than not. By contrast, Katrina was EXTREMELY informative from our first conversation on the phone. Within a few hours she had set 5 appointments for us to view homes and even sent me

If not for Katrina Speedie, this sale of our house would not have happened. To make a long story short, when the deal was about to fall through, Katrina went well beyond the call of duty and made it happen. We highly recommend her. When we first decided to sell our home, we interviewed several realtors. We got the sense that Katrina would really work for and with us and would put OUR needs and wants first (rather than working for him/herself, which had been my experience with some other real estate agents). Based on the market analysis she did, Katrina listed our house for a price that we thought was about right and would net us the most we could reasonably get for it. (By comparison, we got the sense than another agent was trying to get us to list our house relatively low so she might make a fast commission while doing less work.) Soon after our listing appeared on the MLS, Katina held an open house. In this, and in everything else she did, Katrina was highly competent, professional, and communicative, and clearly was working for and with us. For example, she always provided us with timely feedback (e.g., after showings and the open house). She was available by phone on weekends and evenings and she always returned calls, texts, and emails promptly. Moreover, she appeared to us to work very well with others (e.g., the property manager of our homeowners association re: signs and open houses; other real estate agents re: showings and eventually negotiations for the sale; the bank and lawyers at the closing). After Katrina had arranged for and publicized (e.g. with post cards) a second open house, but before it happened, we received an offer. Katrina worked well with everyone to arrive at a final sale price and other conditions. Then the house was appraised for the buyers' loan and the value came in below our agreed-upon sale price. (This apparently is not that uncommon in the current post real-estate-bust market.) Katrina then worked very hard and provided much good data in an effort to have the appraiser review the appraised value. Unfortunately this did not make any difference. (I will provide a separate review of this appraiser.) So, we were all stuck with the appraised value. At that point, I thought this appraiser had killed the sale. But somehow, with a whole lot of effort and excellent communication and negotiations skills, Katrina put the pieces together again and the sale was closed. (The buyers' agent and the buyers deserve some credit here too.) We have already recommended Katrina Speedie to several of our friends and colleagues who asked us about realtors. In our opinion, you will do yourself a favor if you consider Katrina for you real estate needs.
Description of Work: We contracted with Speedie Reality (Katrina Speedie) to sell our home. (The figure for Approximate Cost above is the total commissions, which were split between the seller's and buyer's agents.)
