They were very prompt, they arrived as scheduled at 8AM the morning after we called. It only took them about 20 minutes to complete and everything was fine.

Quick work and fair price. We called them for a job since then and had to leave a phone message. When they didn't call right back, we selected another plumber. The may have since gotten someone to answer the phone which would have kept us as customers.

The people that they recommended came over the next day and and quot;fixedand quot; the slow basement drain problem. The next day it rained, and I ended up with knee deep water in my basement. I paid CL OBrien, and the people they recommended hundreds of dollars, only to end up with thousands of dollars damage to my basement.

They're always very prompt and good. They are reasonably priced. They just take care of what they need to take care of and find extra things that some people might find and they just do their business and get it done. They are expensive, but plumbers are expensive, so there's no way around that.

My wife and I just bought our first house, and we were excited. It was on an older city block, so we knew we needed a water softener. We called a few places to get quotes. This place made up my mind to go with the other guy. The man showed up 45 minutes late. When he got here, the very first thing he did was tell me how my plumbing to my outside lines was all wrong, and I needed to re-do all my outside lines. I told the man that I need a water softener first, that is why I called his company. Then he told me it didn't matter till I fixed my lines outside. Thats when I decided to go with the other company. I told him that. He was so upset, he stormed out of my own house, and slammed my own front door so hard it shook the walls. I would never want a person that disrespectful touching anything in my house. If you read this, please go somewhere else.

The service turned out fine. They are dependable, honest, and show up ion time. They are also fairly priced.

Water heater went out on me over the weekend, called and left messages with 2 local plumbers, C.L. O'Brien was the first to call me back. They came out Monday morning, brought and installed a new heater but there were a few things I feel they could have done better, some may seam minor but to me they show un professionalism. First off I have a pan for the heater to sit in in case it leaks, I had to stop them to position it properly as the tank started to fill or it would be imposible. Secondly he didn't have a proper part to attach the gas line to the heater and had to run out to the local hardware store to get one. Finally after he left I found that when he attached two parts on the back of his truck he left big globs of solder on my driveway, the only way I was able to remove them was with a high pressure washer and I think I pulled as much concrete off as I did solder. The heater works fine and the price was good but they certinly could have been more professional.

There was miscommunication between them and their contractors. I had to keep calling them. The tile man was very good. I received a bill from the tile man. Then I got a bill from C L O'Brien for the tile work. The bill was for way more than we paid the tile man. They broke the base of the shower that was to be put in. They had to order another one. I kept having to call them to remind them about us. They were very nice, but I should not have had to pester them. I am still waiting for the corrected bill.

We have moderately low water pressure supplied by our village (42 psi) so we suffer when a toilet is flushed while someone is in the shower etc. When I originally called, I was a bit disappointed as all I got was an answering machine. They did call back the next day when I asked if O'Brien plumbing did that kind of project, they said yes and would get back to me with a quote. Other plumbers in the area did not even know what I was talking about. O'Brien called back the next day with the quote. I knew it was fair as I had been looking into this for some time. They said they would get the pump ordered and get back to me the following week to set up a schedule. Two and a half weeks later they called and said they finally got the pump in. We set up a schedule for three business days later for between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. The plumber arrived about 11:30, clearly within their window. He was chatty, but I could tell he knew his business about installing this kind of pump and it's function. Two hours later he was finished. He explain how the system worked to my wife and I including the bypass valves if we had a problem with the pump adding though that in all his years of installing this pump he has never seen any king of problem. Enjoying my shower this morning, I don't know why we had waited so long.

I would use them again in the future. We got him from a neighbor next door, he said that they was really good and had used them for a long time so we used them.

They are awesome. I have been using this company for years. They really know their business and are prompt and courteous. I consider them the best around!

I got a referral from a friend and I also looked on Angie's List and they were highly rated. They are the same for me. They came out very quickly. They are very efficient and polite. They are informative as far as what the problems might be and so forth. They also gave me a price on a new water softener, but didn't say that I needed one right away. It was not like a heavy sale. They were just very thorough. Their responsiveness is definitely good.

They are the people that I usually call for plumbing issues. I know them through our Church since they were members of our Catholic Church here. The have been around for a long time. Mike O'Brien runs the company but I think his dad is still involved and they are just really nice people. They are prompt and you don't have to worry about them not showing up or anything like that. I think that it is a good, standard company to call. They come, do the work, and are gone. They are good and you know that you are getting quality work done and don't have to worry about something bad happening. They are very fast and come as quickly as they can.

A great job was performed. Arrived on time, and finished the job in about three hours.

We woke up to the sound of running water and found that our hot water heater was spraying water all over the basement. After shutting off the water to the heater and cleaning up the mess I started calling around getting prices for a new hot water heater to be installed. O'Brien Plumbing and Heating was not the lowest quote I recieved, but I was totally impressed by the questions their office personnel aked me (No one else had asked for as much information about the existing hot water heater, location etc.) before giving me a quote to replace our hot water heater. I was given an approximate arrival time that was less than an hour (not just sometime today) and a promise to call if they would not be able to make that time frame. Their plumber arrived a few minutes before the earliest time estimated which was fine I was ready to get it done! Troy, their plumber, looked over the old heater and actually recommended some preventive measures he could do to eliminate another hot water disaster in the future. He was very polite, informative and extremely effecient. He did have to go get some materials only because we agreed to his suggestions, otherwise he had everything he needed to do the job when he arrived. He laid down protective cloths on our floors, he cleaned up the work area and other than the fact we have an amazing looking hot water heater with new pipes you couldn't tell we had a workman in the house when he left. My husband was nervous that the bill would be way over what our estimate was after he saw the work! We got the bill 5 days after service and even with the add-ons we agreed to it was only thirty dollars over the estimate!!! We are still grinning!! We will definitely be calling C.L. O'Brien for all our future plumbing needs!! Great job guys!!!!
