+ -1 moreWhen we got our estimate for the wood flooring, we found they don't replace stairs. The stairs needed to be replaced as only two were the same height. So we needed a carpenter for that. But before the floor could be installed we wanted to paint the walls and ceiling. And before the stairs could be put in the floor was to be in place. Rakow construction had to work around this delay to schedule their work. They removed all the old steps and supports. Provided 3 risers where the old steps had only two. The railing was raised for the stairs going up to accommodate the equal rise for each step. The oak steps and side boards were stained and sealed at their shop. They matched the flooring exactly. We felt they did an excellent job for a reasonable price which included all materials and labor.
Description of Work: In our split foyer house, the seven steps up and five steps down were removed. They were replaced with oak steps. They stained and sealed the steps to match the oak flooring that had just been installed.
