Covenant Htg & Air Cond

I requested and received a phone estimate from Charley at the end of February with work to start the first week of April. When I called to get it started, they had no record of the estimate or the work to be done. We got that taken care of, but they didn't show up on the date we agreed. When they did come, they expected me to have the shower apparatus and the drain assembly. No one said anything about it when I made the appointment. So, another delay. Communication was an issue throughout the project. Phone calls not returned; miscommunication about the work, for example. When I finally got them to return to put the drain in, Charley kept insisting we needed to cut a hole in the ceiling of our kitchen to "take the line back to the stack." My husband showed him the alternative we wanted to have done, and Charley argued with him. He did at last put the drain in and left. When we checked it later, the drain wasn't level, and my husband had to re-do it before the tiler came the next day. On the positive side, they didn't charge us for the drain work -- which took about 30 minutes. I sent an email to the owner and asked him to come and check the work before my husband fixed it. I didn't receive a reply.

From estimate to completion, the Covenant crew was professional, courteous, and answered every stupid question I had without acting like they were stupid questions. They were certain of my ameren rebate prior to me signing the contract. They also include a two year warranty on their labor. The crew arrived on time and were respectful to me and my pets. The ductwork alterations necessary to make the new evaporator coil fit is pure artistry. Long story short...if you research the proper installation of AC units, you know these guys do it right. No corners cut here. I would highly recommend Covenant to anyone needing any of the services they offer.

I had a couple of plumbing leaks in the home. Tim and Justin responded quickly in a timely manner and repair the leaks.

They rooted out tree roots from a pipe in my front yard, worked on a gas line in my basement, replaced a gas stove in the downstairs kitchen, and installed a faucet in my kitchen. They were excellent. They gave a senior and military discount.

The job went wonderfully! Covenant came to our home. We discussed the problems that we were having with the toilet upstairs and the toilet downstairs. We, also, discussed that we needed new hardware on our outside faucets. They went to work immediately, and finished the approx. 2 hours labor in 2 hours. The price was good, also.

We were very satisfied with them. This was the first time we used them. They were very thorough and honest. They took care of it right away. He responded right away. We would definitely use them again and we would recommend him.

I love the heaters, but they left a mess for me to cleanup which was the dust from the drywall, left on my floor. They also disconnected my old gas pipes and I didn't have any problems with that because they put the new heaters in. However, they left one of the gas pipes from the ceiling hanging in my hallway and all they had to do was put a clamp on it. Again, I liked what they did for me, but I didn't like cleaning up after them. My father would always said "if you do work for someone, when finished, make it look like you weren't even there." Covenant was hired to do the work through the Weatherization Department of Illinois since I am low income, so it really didn't cost me anything. They also had to do all the piping for all the electrical work, which is why the drywall dust was all over the place, b/c they had to drill the holes. In addition, they hardly communicated with me. They didn't even tell me that they were leaving my house. They didn't tell me what work was going on. They were just coming and going. I had no idea what was going on. I didn't even know when they finished b/c they left the house in such a mess. I thought for sure they would show up the next day, but they never did. I thought that they would show up and clean up the mess. So, I called the company to see if they were done and was told yes. They weren't professional by leaving a mess. If I need work done in the future, I will choose someone else.
