Called Nino's Tile after deciding I was going to replace my bathroom floor. My mother in law got a beautiful kitchen floor job done from them so she highly recommended them to me. I was not disappointed. They were prompt, professional and the attention to detail was outstanding. They truly are masters of their craft. They went over everything with me from picking the right kind of tile to which grout and color is best in the room. There were quite a few difficult angles and they made everything so clean and symmetrical. I knew replacing the flooring would make the room look better, but it came out even better than I expected. Would definitely recommend and will call Nino's when its time to replace other flooring!

When I originally e-mailed them they responded quickly and came out to give me a quote. They were so nice and very knowledgeable, I was excited about the possibility of working with them. They were supposed to get back to me with a quote, they knew I was eager to start asap. After a week passed I e-mailed them with no response, another week went by I e-mailed them again and still nothing! If the job is too small or you're too busy the least you could do is let me know! That's very unprofessional. I went from excited to aggravated and would not recommend them based on that experience.

I contacted Ninos through Angie’s list messages and they were quick to respond. Then they all of a sudden stop responding. So I asked a direct question of “are you will to take on this project?” I got no response whatsoever! What kind of customer service is that? I wouldn’t proceed to work with this company! Customer/buyer beware of this company!

I don't like that Angie's List forces me to give an overall grade for Nino's Tile given that I didn't use their services, but I did want to submit a review of my experience with this company's responsiveness. In June, I was trying to find a tile installer for a new condominium I had purchased (and which I was renovating from out of state). I contacted Nino's Tile by email twice with very specific criteria to obtain a ballpark estimate. Nothing. No answer. Five weeks later, I received an email from Tony stating the brothers had been busy/vacationing but they would be happy to give me an estimate if I still needed it. Who needs an estimate five weeks after they've asked for one? Who would ask someone for an estimate after they had not replied for five weeks? If you have a business, you need at least to answer your emails on a timely basis to be taken seriously--just my opinion.

The brothers came on time finoshed work in a day and came next day to grout. Excelent work. Would recommend them.
Description of Work: Installed marble hex tiles in the powder room.
Excellent. I was considering doing part of the pre-installation work myself, but due to time constraints, went with Nino's Tile's proposal to do almost everything from removal of the existing flooring, receipt of the tile, and also ordered the tile via them from a vendor/tile choice I had selected after visiting various tile shops and showrooms. A unique family company of two brothers, who actually perform all the work themselves, Tony and Vito, took genuine pride in their work and had the patience to answer all questions and take care of all my installation details including discussion of technical items. I contacted Tony back in March to line up for this flooring work to begin in June and everything went perfectly on schedule. While this was an expensive project it was definitely worth it to have the tile done correctly and with the right aesthetics without needing to supervise the work, so I feel I got what I paid for.
Description of Work: Full unit flooring installation with marble tile (12x24 natural stone) in a classic brickwork pattern and porcelain tile (porcelain penny rounds for bathroom) in a high rise unit. Included specified setting materials, and underlayment, which were all Mapei products.

I'm an architect, and in over 30 years of experience I have never seen a tile job this outstanding. These guys are masters of the tile trade. Their eye for detail, cutting each piece perfectly, lining up every grout joint, not just to the surrounding tile, but also to align with the window, built-ins, corners was genius. This was a really crummy room. Walls were out of alignment, corners were not 90 degrees, the floor sloped all over the place, but they tackled it all and made it look perfect. Tony & Nino were super easy to work with and really nice guys! If you want the job done right at a fair and reasonable price, Nino's is the company you want.

Amazing work on an extremely difficult job! I had recently bought a very old house that had a shower with faulty plumbing. Tony had to literally tear out 5-6 floors beneath the existing tile, reconstruct the plumbing, install a shower pan, and then re-tile to match the rest of the stone in the shower. The finished product not only looked amazing, but it was finished on time and within the quoted amount (despite being much more difficult than originally anticipated). Extremely professional service and great work all around!

Once the tile arrived which we ordered based upon Nino's estimates, we contacted his son Tony. He came out the next day and reviewed the job and prepared an estimate for the cost of the project. He and his brother Vito arranged to come out and start the work and they arrived on time and proceeded to demo the room. When they were done they cleaned up and removed all of the debris. We worked out a schedule that allowed me to remove the old toilet and vanity so that they could tile the floor. Once they were done with the floor, we had to wait for our plumber to come out and redo the shower so Tony worked another job without complaint. Once the plumber roughed in the new shower fixtures, Tony and Vito returned and worked tirelessly to update the bathroom shower. They worked long hours and created a masterpiece which we will enjoy for a long time to come. At first when I learned that Nino was retired, I was a little concerned that the sons wouldn't perform to the standard I had come to expect from the father. He can be very proud that his sons have embraced the old world culture and are also true craftsmen. My wife and I are really fans of this family of fine artists. The scope of work increased as a result of the plumbing that we had done but they stuck to the original estimate plus a very small increase for all the extra work. We are extremely pleased with the outcome and highly recommend the Nino's Tile and Marble for their professionalism, knowledge and great work ethic.
Description of Work: I have used Nino for several years and he is a true craftsman. Recently we changed out the window in one of our bathrooms and decided that rather than just redo the window sill we would update the 20 year old tile and fixtures. Nino was at the house working on another project for me and I asked him to estimate the amount of tile needed to complete the new look. He was leaving town but his sons would be available to do the project for us.

I'm done with Angie's List. I can chase subcontractors until I find one that even bothers to respond within a few days without paying for this service.
Description of Work: They took way longer than is reasonable to respond.
Exceptional work all the way around! They have a unique skill that was handed down from their father and we received their name from a professional referral. They prepared the site (a vintage bathroom) by making the walls level and square before installing any stone. They made sure that everything was crafted as well as possible - to exceed our expectations and their own. They had our best interests at heart. Our job included large slate tiles, small glass tiles and quartz slabs. 100% of the floor and walls are covered with stone and tile. Even a portion of the ceiling has tile. Every curve and corner was painstakingly executed and took extra time to get things right. The bathroom is a showplace. We are incredibly happy with their work. Excellent!

I found them on Angie's List. One of Nino's son came and fixed everything great. It was a great service. They came back in stages and let it dry to do the same part. It was not a very big job. They are very knowledgeable and professional. The quality of work so far seems to be great because it's been two months. It looks like they did some re-grouting and they made it look like the exact thing. They matched it well with the existing grouting. I would recommend them on Angie's List again. I really didn't shop around and I thought it was reasonable.

I can't say enough great things about these guys. True professionals and craftsmen. They worked long days over nearly a month project removing old travertine tile, installing a new underlayment, and installing new marble tile In a very specific pattern. It was not an easy job and I dare say that not many installers could have completed it with the same amount of professionalism and attention to detail that Nino's tile applied to this project. The finished product is simply SPECTACULAR. I couldn't have asked for more. Do yourself a favor - hire these guys! Especially if you have a tough project - you won't regret it.
Description of Work: The project involved removal of old travertine tile in a yore and large kitchen and installing marble tile. The price above excludes the cost of the tile (installation costs only). I purchased the tile myself and Nino's picked it up for me.

I had recently had my kitchen remodeled and was dissatisfied with the workmanship of the contractor on the floor. I had him replace several tiles that dried crookedly and even out areas of grout. He used up all my extra tile in the process. The workmanship was shoddy and I was very disappointed in the result. It was evident he did not know the process to lay the 12x24 inch porcelain tiles. I searched Angie's List, and due to their good reviews, asked Tony from Nino's Tile to take a look. Over the phone he was not very encouraging, stating he could not guarantee the result of fixing someone else's work. I asked him to come look at it anyway and he gave me an estimate. I liked him right away and hired them to give it a try. He arrived for the estimate within the time frame he stated and was just as prompt for the 2 visits to complete the work. While the estimate was higher than I expected, the amount of work that Tony and his brother Vito put in was well worth it. At the end I felt it really was a fair deal. They had agreed to replace 2 tiles we found that had chips (I had to order another box of tile) and they actually found another and replaced that as well. Together they dug out and re-grouted the room with a custom color on a Saturday and Vito returned to seal the floor the following Monday. They also cleaned up and applied a silicone grout to my glass wall tile backsplash, which had already begun to crack. They were polite, clean and very thorough workers. There were spots they stated from the outcome might be problematic, but overall the floor was beautiful, and a 100% improvement. This is definitely a case of you get what you pay for. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I used Ninos Tile for my kitchen tile installation about 3 years ago and admired their craftsmanship and quality in completing that work. I wanted them for this job as well. Everything went perfectly smoothly and quickly. Tony and Vito are thoroughly knowledgeable and were able to provide me with recommendations when I had questions and effected some details I especially wanted. It was clear that the customer's happiness with the end result was their vision throughout. I appreciated how meticulous they were about keeping the area protected and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of both days. I just LOVE what has come about. They are very professional and personable and know their stuff in spades. I would use them again, without question.
Description of Work: They installed tiles to add additional height to my old house's tiled shower walls. The tile was low for a showering area and Tony and Vito installed tiles I provided and grouted the completed installation using two different grout colors. There were 4 tile types to deal with: 2 somerset rows, a glass mosaic, 4x4 field tiles and a capital across the top.

I had high hopes for this contractor based on his initial response to my request for an estimate of tile work in my condo bathroom. However, extremely delayed responsiveness and inattention to details on the job have me giving him only a fair rating overall. I initially left a voice message for Nino's Tile & Marble the morning of September 16. Tony returned my phone call that same afternoon and scheduled a September 18 visit to view the bathroom and provide me with an estimate for the work. Tony and his co-worker/ brother arrived on time for the estimate. They were very courteous, and we discussed the extent of work to be done. The very next day Tony emailed me an estimate for the work. I was quite pleased with how quickly they had responded, and I also prefer to work with family-owned businesses like this one. So, after considering some other contractors, I selected Nino's Tile & Marble. I sent Tony an email on September 20 stating that I wanted him to perform the work on my bathroom. I also provided him with a list of dates that would work well for me. I heard nothing from Tony (no phone call, no email) until October 2 when he contacted me via email to ask whether October 4 still worked for performing the work. I had called him two times during the nearly two-week interim (leaving voice messages) to try to determine whether he planned to schedule the job, but I received no response. I understand that contractors (especially small businesses) get busy, but my preference is some acknowledgement that the job will get scheduled or that my email or calls have been received. This is the reason for the D grade for responsiveness. (After the job was completed, I verbally suggested to Tony that a quick email or voice message would have gone a long way to improving customer relations.) The work was performed on October 4 between approximately 9:30 am and 3:30 pm. Tony and co-worker (brother) performed the work and took about a 45-minute lunch break. The time frame seemed reasonable overall considering what had to be done to replace the tiles which were located throughout the shower stall (not contiguous). I stayed home for the entire job with the exception of about 20 minutes. I had no concerns about leaving them at my home. Throughout the job, Tony and his brother were quite courteous when speaking directly to me. However, while they worked they seemed oblivious to anyone else in the condo. They spoke very loudly, his brother swore quite frequently and loudly, and they got into a number of spats that seemed rather juvenile. Even my 3-year-old thought they were loud. The language was not unbearable, or I would have asked them to keep it down. (I don't like to interfere once a job has started unless necessary.) I don't think their on-the-job behavior warranted a D grade, but for Professionalism I rate them no higher than C. The Quality of the work was mostly very good/ excellent, but they didn't bother to reseal the hole between the water pipe and tile before replacing the escutcheon for hot/cold handles. Also, there is a hairline crack between two tiles they replaced at the shower corner. There were also grout touch-up areas where the old grout should have been removed before applying new. These are the details that kept them out of the A-grade for Quality.
Description of Work: Replaced 14 white ceramic tiles in bathroom. Some bathroom shower and floor grout touchup.

I called Tony and he came over to look at the job and give me an estimate. He asked for my email address so he could send the estimate there. It took a week for Tony to get me the estimate. The job was done in several sessions--all of which were performed in a timely manner. The job Tony did is beautiful. It has been almost six months and the ledge and grouting look great.
Description of Work: Removed bottom row of tile surrounding back wall of tub. After letting the area completely dry-out, Tony built a ledge that was slightly slanted toward the tub so the water would run off into the tub. The ledge was re-tiled and grouted. Tony also recaulked the perimeter of the tub.
