Went great. On-time; kept me posted throughout the process and gave updates as to next steps. I also had made an on-the-spot idiot decision that needed to be corrected after installation but they were gracious and redid the work (for a change cost but was not over-the-top.) Very satisfied with the outcome. Have already shared their info with others who were looking to do work. Would definitely use again.

We are so pleased with the work that Neighborhood Remodelers did on our house. We found them on Angie’s List based on great reviews, interviewed them and were very impressed with their pitch. From start to finish, they were true professionals. They are experts in their field and have great relationships with vendors/salespeople that we took advantage of when shopping for materials. They were very responsive to our questions and were considerate with our lifestyle (getting small kids out the door). We highly recommend them.

From the initial review of the project, Luke and his team kept me fully informed about cost, estimated time to complete, and they also made a number of recommendations that improved the project. The project team of Mike and Wes are among the most professional and had respect for privacy and were extremely flexible. This is the second major project Luke and his team has done ofr me: on time, on budget, and of the highest quality of work.

I've used NR for a kitchen/laundry remodel, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Everyone there is extremely professional, sales, office staff, project managers and construction crews. They do a great job. We had a few issues with the kitchen once we removed the sofits but everything was resolved in a timely manner and the kitchen looks amazing.

Would give them an A+ if I could. Outstanding contractors - a full service team of consummate professionals that executed flawlessly on time and on budget. Would use them again in a heart beat. We undertook a whole house renovation including gutting and remodeling of 2 bathrooms, kitchen and basement as well as painting, floor refinishing, tile replacement and other modifications on the remainder of the house. I had considerable limitations in terms of time and thus, ability to manage the project and they managed the entire project, scheduling according to my convenience, managing through difficult permitting issues and delays and making sure all work was done to high quality standards ( I didn't always have time to review things and I relied on them to do so). They made the entire process pretty stress and hassle free and minimized my time commitments. The team was wonderful - top notch professionals and great people: Luke, the owner and sales point person, was highly responsive, very reasonable, flexible, fast and communicative; Mike Cooper was my project manager. He was a top notch PM and overall great guy and did a superb job managing the whole project (including managing several major changes, navigating onerous permitting requirements and handling an unreasonable town reviewer). Mike handled things flawlessly, always immediately responsive, providing great advice and coming up with creative solutions as problems arose and making sure everything was done perfectly. He made the entire process stress free and was someone you could completely rely on. Jill Stumpf, the kitchen designer, came up with a great design and made impeccable recommendations on color and style for the kitchen cabinets that served as the cornerstone for our new open living space. Abbey Henning, the interior designer, designed our bathrooms, the balance of the kitchen, and opined on colors and style and picked fixtures, furniture and window treatments for the balance of the house, She is incredibly gifted with an amazing eye for color and style and a unique ability to understand what you really want and bring it to life in very Zen fashion. Abbey completely transformed our home! Marek, was our foreman, and had great attention to detail and quality. Chris, who did most of the daily work was just exceptional - crazy hardworking, barely stopped and was always on top of everything, Jack, who did a lot of the tile and paint, was just like a master craftsman (make sure you ask for him!) Jerry Majka, was the super sharp electrician, and did a marvelous job, upgrading this 60 year old home, converting from overhead to underground wiring, installing recessed lighting and additional comm wiring and making it look great and work well and efficiently. Samantha Goldberg and Kerin Bente in the office were always incredibly efficient, responsive and a joy to deal with it. Anyone who has seen our renovated house be it workmen, other visitors, friends and neighbors have been just floored with how beautiful the house is and how great the workmanship is (I'm actually shocked at all the unsolicited complements, responses and questions, and actually a bit tired of all the awing and ooing and tile/wall fondling!) . Neighborhood did an outstanding job and I would use them again in a heartbeat. They are worth every penny!

Great! We were so happy with results at our old house (that sold in 12 hours!) So when our new house needed air conditioning (moved in during hottest days of summer), we hired NR, went on a week long vacation and came home to a cool comfortable house. Greg T. (Hvac) and peter W. kept us informed of progress all along. They were able to start the day after we closed on the house, which was amazing!!

They were great. They did a great job. The workers were good and friendly.

Back in 2012 - NR did a complete gut rehab on my house. 4 years later, I called them up to investigate an issue with my roof and they sent someone immediately to address the issue. I think that speaks volume about their commitment to their customers for satisfaction and standing behind their work. - I understand someone fixing an issue after a couple months but 4 years later is awesome to see. I highly recommended NR, they're not going take your money and never return your calls. They're a family owned business and I feel good about supporting small businesses and not just a number to them.

Working with Neighborhood Remodelers was a revelation; this is what it should be like working with any contractor. We decided to go with Neighborhood as a result of very positive experiences that our daughter had with the company while completing extensive renovations in her house - two bathrooms completely redone and a kitchen updated. Our initial meeting included the owner, the site supervisor, and the carpenter who would be doing the work. They listened very well to what we wanted, offered suggestions for modifications that might be needed due to the location of the deck, and shared ideas about the appearance of the deck that we had not considered. The estimate was provided very quickly and they were very consistent with several other estimates that we had received. They also pulled the permit, which was really helpful since the village required structural drawings. Things went very smoothly from start to finish. Mike, the site supervisor, was extremely responsive to emails and did a really good job of keeping us informed about when carpenters would be there and checking in with us to be sure that we were satisfied with how things were going. The bulk of the construction was done by Tom, the lead carpenter, who was there pretty much every day for several weeks. Tom's craftsmanship (not a word always associated with decks!), attention to detail, and the quality of the materials he used is outstanding. In fact, Tom and the other carpenters clearly take a lot of pride in the work that they do. Tom's mantra was "Do it right the first time!" This deck is seriously built! We decided to add some visual interest by using a herringbone pattern for the decking; one of the carpenters suggested adding a single strip of Trex down the middle of the deck in what will be a contrasting color when we stain/paint the deck. We are thrilled with the look. Tom even offered to put on the solar post cap lights, a task I could easily have done but he was more than willing to do it for us. Overall, the results exceeded our expectations. After the experiences that we and our daughter have had with them, we will definitely be using Neighborhood for future home projects.

We had Neighborhood Remodelers to renovate our kitchen, Our experience was very positive. They provided professional services every step of the way. The team members were excellent to work with throughout the project. They were punctual, conscientious and always careful to leave the project in good order at the end of every working day. Everything with our kitchen remodel came together on time and on budget. I'd highly recommend them to everyone.

Very helpful and fast. As long as you have the pathway clear, and for a nominal fee, they'll deliver and stack it anywhere.

It did not go that well. I was not going to write a review, but this week was the "last straw" when the contractor I hired to complete this project (not Neighborhood Remodelers) identified electrical work for which Neighborhood Remodelers was paid, but never completed. I think the overarching issue was that Neighborhood Remodelers subcontracted the entire project to another general contractor and there was very little communication between Neighborhood and the contractor who actually did the work. To begin, there were a number of unfortunate incidents involving the concrete contractor. On several occasions I was awoken at 10:00/10:30 pm (school night) to find him in my kitchen wanting to talk. These guys also raided the kids' lunch snacks that were temporarily stored in the garage, and helped themselves to the fridge. Even that I dealt with, but his work was objectively "shoddy," as described by the city inspector. We paid for a new decorative concrete floor. The finished product is not even close to level, and loaded with divots, dings and several cracks (see pictures). What's most aggravating about this is that during pre-construction planning we all discussed scoring the concrete for controlled cracking, which was never done. There's also a huge blemish where the water heater was temporarily hung--they forgot to "finish" this area. We are currently working with a custom cabinet shop to develop furniture to hide these mistakes. We also paid for all the existing wooden support structure to be replaced with steel I-beams. Problem is that they failed to follow the architectural plans and covered the century-old laundry chute (see picture). Attempting to fix this issue, they employed some sheet metal for a 45-degree bend in the chute to avoid the beam (see picture). I'm no engineer but looks like as best as could be done to fix their mistake, but it certainly impedes the chute and isn't pretty. In replumbing the radiant heat, they also cut through the 100-year old hardwood flooring on the main floor of my home. It was then filled with wood putty, but looks terrible. Maybe I am old fashioned, but for $100k I shouldn't be looking at a cracked and pockmarked floor, paint drips (see pictures), an air duct that goes nowhere, and having to re-open walls to connect wiring that was paid for.

Awesome! They coordinated all aspects of the work, had a fabulous designer (Abbey) who gave valuable assistance in picking out fixtures, tile, countertop, etc. They scheduled in additional help when needed, like in the demolition phase, to keep things moving. Peter W was here every day, as scheduled, and was most professional, courteous, helpful and friendly. There were no delays or days spent waiting for things to happen. Electrician and plumber were great. Completely transparent on costs, suppliers, and status. I love my new bathroom!

Neighborhood remodelers were very professional. They gave me a notebook with liability insurance, city licenses, a full scope of work with cost, a list of all suppliers and a list of other clients with contact information. I chose to order the supplies and they picked up those supplies for me. My job had a project manager assigned who touched base with me at every stage and was always available to answer any questions or concerns. I would use them again if I need any other work completed. I cannot praise them enough. I never had to be concerned about any part of the remodel. They were a pleasure to work with!

They totally gutted most of our first floor including walls, ceiling and floor. They had to remove to walls and build a bedroom where we flip flopped a bedroom and a dining room to create better flow. They started on April 4 and totally gutted the first floor of house. We had no sub flooring when it was gutted and plaster walls so had to put in new framing on all walls. Neighborhood Remodelers also put in new insulation in ceiling and walls and had to rebuild walls and had to add 14 sister joists in living room ceiling and a new support beam in living room. We had 4 1/4 " wide red oak wood flooring installed and stained throughout kitchen, 3 bedrooms, dining room and living room. Shiloh custom cabinets in polar white with a sable color island and caesarstone quartz countertops were installed. NR hung a TV and soundbar in living room and painted entire project. They drywalled the entire project except for 2 bedrooms that were just painted, new floors and closet and entry doors. They told me 8-10 week for completion and it was exactly that. Took the full 10 weeks and a punch list with a few things was completed on June 24. The work personnel for the entire project were marvelous and very clean. Our main carpenter was Chris and he was outstanding and easy to work with. His boss, Marek was great as well with good ideas. The NR boss was David and I can't say enough good things about him. At the end of the project one of our sons was hospitalized and he had 2 of his workers help us move things back into house. Couldn't have done everything without his help. Luke from NR who is owner and came to give us quote was extremely easy to work with. Jill who came up with 3 different designs for cabinets and layout of kitchen was very easy to work with and really knows her stuff. The original quote was for $87,800 and end was $93,081. I added additional things and of course when you gut your 65 year old house things come up and price was very competitive and fair. I would recommend Neighborhood Remodelers and their crew to anyone. Luke has assembled the highest quality team of all types of laborers that I have ever worked with. 5 Stars to them.

This company is highly professional and very responsive. The two workers at my site did high quality work and were supervised on a regular basis. The bathroom was completely gutted and everything was complete in 2 weeks, including working one Saturday. I highly recommend them.

Working with Neighborhood Remodelers went very smoothly. ?Communication was excellent. ?Most of the work was completed when we were out of town for the winter, and they handled everything. ?They completed the job, including minor touch ups when we get home. ?They were a pleasure to work with, from the carpenters to the office staff. ?Kamil was outstanding to work with.

This was a very professional business that made a point of maintaining excellent communication throughout the long process. Had an eye to keeping the inherent inconvenience in this process to a minimum. They were also very nice and friendly to deal with throughout the work. Glad to give them a positive review here.

Everything went great. They were amazingly always on time and finished the job within days of how long they estimated. We got several quotes from other contractors before hiring NR. Their quote was in between our other ones. However, I did feel that the allowances they provided in the quote were on the low side for the remodels for the bathroom and kitchen. With that being said, the overall price was fair given the quality of work and outcome. In fact people regularly tell us that our kitchen looks like it belongs in a Magazine!! So I can without hesitation, recommend this company to anyone looking for a kitchen/bathroom remodel.

The estimator, project manager and superintendent were all very professional and courteous. The team was very knowledgable and quick to offer very practical, cost effective and attractive options whenever a decision was needed on the fly. I would recommend their services and use the again. They very cost competitive and more thorough than other estimates of the same work.

It went very well! They were easy to work with from the very beginning to the very end and we have already referred some friends and family to them. We, without question, would work with them again. People were at our house every day at 7:30 and stayed until 4:30 or 5. They always cleaned up after themselves and didn't mind us emailing and texting them with questions almost every day. It was a big project for us, so we wanted to make sure we understood what was happening all of the time. They always made time to answer our questions or talk about any concerns. When all was said and done, we have a beautiful new basement to enjoy with family and friends. We were very pleased with their work.

It was an overall great experience. Luke was great to deal with and was always very responsive (quick and honest) to any questions we had. Damien and his team were very professional and while we stayed in the house throughout the renovation we hardly knew they were there. We had several companies come out to bid on the project and though Neighborhood was not the cheapest (but not too much more expensive than most others) we felt the most comfortable with them. When spending this much money on a full kitchen remodel, you want someone you can trust who has the experience to do the job right.
