The experience went very well. They were very punctual and did everything within a 3 week window. Their price was a bit expensive, but they’re really good with completing things in a timely manner. I’d recommend this company to others.

The overall experience with Neighborhood Remodelers could not have been better! Their professionalism, communication, and responsiveness was an example of how customer service should be at every company. Everyone we dealt with was attentive, and got back to us promptly with every question that we had. We were looking for a company that would hold our hand through the entire process, could provide discounts at local sources, could recommend sources when we needed them, and would make the overall process from start to finish easy for us. Neighborhood Remodelers did all of that and more. The day the project started their entire team including the main individual who would be doing most of the work, met us at our house and introduced themselves to us. We knew from the start who would be doing the work, who would be over-seeing everything, and who exactly to contact, anytime of the day or night with questions. During the project we worked mostly Jerry who turned out to be the ultimate craftsmen and had an incredible eye for detail. His work was perfect and he took great care in everything he did. Jerry was a pleasure to work with and I hope to have the pleasure to work with him on another project in the future. When unexpected issues arose, and in most jobs like this they will, they were dealt with promptly and with the goal of achieving a solution. In the end we could not have been more satisfied with the job that Neighborhood Remodelers did for us. We would absolutely use them again and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

They did excellent work. They were very clean and efficient. I was impressed with their professionalism and how they really went above and beyond our expectations.

We called Neighborhood Remodelers on a Thursday, and Luke came out the following morning, at 8:30, and we had a written quote by 10:15 that same morning. Martin, the contract manager, showed up with his crew the next Monday, and by Friday our garage looked brand new. Siding, gutters and shingles all replaced within the span of 5 business days. For $7500. They blew every other quote out of the water, both in terms of time to complete the job and the amount of money it would take to get it done. This business is attentive, hard working and has a family (read: no bs) feel to the way it operates. We are glad to have found them and will definitely keep them at the top of our list for future projects.

We received three contractor bids on this project in March 2011. The bids were between $4,500 - $7,200. The lower bids even included allowances for the vanities and tiles! Due to some prior experience with accepting low bids, we went with the contractor most highly recommended through the list which was also the highest bid. Neighborhood Remodelers response to our bid request was very prompt and contract process set up very professionally. We had ordered two new vanities, mirrors, lighting and fans on line ourselves and had them shipped to our house. When one of the vanities was on back order, it became apparent that we should wait with inking the deal with a contractor. At the end of May, the back ordered vanity finally arrived and we approached Neighborhood Remodelers with a slightly expanded work scope. The final contract we agreed on was for $7,600. Work started promptly and was completed by two workers within about five work days. The electrical work was done expertly, the tiling and vanity installation looks great. The workers provided solid craftmanship. The workers cleaned up after themselves every day and were reasonably good in proactively communicating issues or questions. Neighborhood Remodelers employs sub contractors who do the actual work. An owner therefore may end up negotiating with a principal, and a project manager from Neighborhood Remodelers and the subcontractor actualy doing the work. Issues related to actual installation, quality of workmanship etc. we ended up primarily negotiating with the sub contractor. We will use Neighborhod Remodelers or their subcontractor again.

They were very good, and I even recommended them to other people.

They?ve done very well. At some point, the last time we were waiting for people but the guy we have is almost too quick. He comes in on Sundays and he came in on Mother?s Day to work. Sometimes with being fast there are errors and there was an electrical error where he should have used gauge wiring and he used different gauge wiring and I caught it and they had no problem. They fixed it right away. My only concern is that there were some things that could have gone by without being caught if I wasn?t a bit familiar with construction and things. I think their price is more than fair and they give us a list of people that they work with and rather than taking the discount for themselves, they pass it on to their customers. The reason my cabinets were of a decent price was because I got the discount that the company gives usually gives to Neighborhood Remodelers. I was pleased with that.

I was very pleased with them. They were very much on time and very professional. The workers were great; I had no complaint with them. We had a couple of little bumps but they took care of them right away. They said they would come every day and work and they did. They finished their work in about 3 weeks and I added some more work after that -- to put flooring in -- and they did that. They were really great. They are very fair, honest and thorough. I would say they are completely trustworthy. They had the best price. Their professionalism was very good. I will absolutely use them again.

They were highly rated on Angie's List. I have signed a contract with them to do this project but work has not started yet. I will use them again in the future.

I cannot say enough about Neighborhood Remodelers and the amazing work the did in our kitchen. We had four quotes and they, by far, had the best approach and team for the job. Luke, Jill, Mike, Marek, Peter and the floor sub-contractor were all professional, responsive and easy to work with from start to finish (plus down to earth and just so nice). Luke (Sales) provided us with all the quote information we needed and went above and beyond with understanding our budget and providing us options. Jill (Designer) put together a design that was exactly what we wanted/needed and made it even better than anticipated (plus she answered all of my texts while we were purchasing the appliances). Mike (Project Manager) always took my calls and answered all of my questions and made sure things were moving. Marek (onsite work) did amazing work and found an electrical issue not related to the remodel and fixed it Peter (cabinets) - custom built and installed the cabinets which are flawless (everyone who visits our kitchen is seriously amazed how perfectly the cabinets are built). He is a perfectionist and had a serious eye for details. At the end of the project, Mike kept asking me for a punch list of issues and we did not have one, everything was right the first time. We had such a great experience and we are very much looking forward to having them back for more projects.

Neighborhood Remodelers is a first class company. We had a great experience from the very beginning. The salesperson (Luke) was warm and friendly. He understood our needs and was able to generate an accurate quote within a few days. He was not pushy and did not try to sell us anything we didn't need or want. Their pricing was very competitive and we should know... we got 7 quotes! Neighborhood Remodelers was able to start work the day after the contract was signed. Joe (foreman) and Libor (painter) were the lead subcontractors. Progress was made every day. Mike was the project manager and was always very accessible, even on nights and weekends. He answered my calls 99% of the time and returned my voicemails within minutes. Mike projected that the work would take 3 - 4 weeks and we were done in 3.5 weeks. The quality of the workmanship was excellent, especially the painting. When (minor) mistakes were made, there was no debating about fixing them. Mike/Joe/Libor fixed everything to our satisfaction as quickly as possible. Also, the team was not shy about fixing things proactively. For example, Joe fixed the exhaust fan in the third bathroom even though I hadn't specifically asked him to. The back office team (Sam and Kerin) promptly provided invoices that were clear and free of errors. My wife and I are not very handy and had a lot of worries about trusting a contractor with our new home. If you are like us and want someone you can trust then call Neighborhood Remodelers.

I cannot say enough good things about Neighborhood Remodelers. First of all, because this job was so enormous, we received only three bids with three other companies unable to even calculate costs. Neighborhood Remodelers were by far the most professional, prompt, and detailed in their bid. They also happened to have the best price. Luke, our salesperson, may very well be the best salesperson I've ever encountered. He's enthusiastic, communicative, responsive, generous, and serves his customers well. When we were awaiting permits from the village, he kept us updated every few days with where we were in the process. Sam, the accounts manager, provided us detailed invoices and worked with us on our payment installments. Mike and Art, our two foremen, did a terrific job of keeping us informed on subcontractors and listening to our needs. All of the contractors they used were courteous and skilled. Some work was done extraordinarily fast. The only criticism I might have is that we sometimes felt there was a communication glitch that would happen between us, the foreman, the subcontractor leads, and then there laborers who actually did the job. There were a few times we would repeat the need for little work to be done when it appeared to be overlooked. I had wished at times they took better actual notes of our evolving needs and could more efficiently share details in how those needs would be executed. The work did take longer than any of us anticipated, but some of this was beyond anyone's control (subcontractor schedule coordination, additional work needed with the house being as old as it is, and a blizzard all contributed). They did somehow manage to finish the work by most of the deadlines we laid out. What impressed me most about Neighborhood Remodelers was how accountable they were. As unforeseen challenges come up with every job, it is the way in which a company handles adversity that contributes mightily to its value and customer satisfaction. NR never raised cost on us even when some jobs turned out to be much more intense than any of us realized. For instance, the electrical was to only take a few days, but ended up taking four weeks after they discovered so many deficiencies in the home wiring. In other cases, they provided services to help clean up areas that none of us anticipated needing attention. They held to their contract and did not nickel and dime us with additional work orders. They are a company of the highest integrity. And the basement has turned out to be even more incredible than we had hoped. It has made our new home a dream home.

These people are fabulous! Every step of the process went well, from sales to the finish work. Everyone was friendly, professional and willing to do anything reasonable to get the work done to my satisfaction. I've worked with a number of contractors, and am used to being told that I don't know what I'm talking about, and that I should just do it their way. While NR didn't do everything I thought up, they were open minded and listened to my ideas, then worked with me to realize my concepts in a way that was feasible. I will definitely use them for our next project.

Great! It is the only bathroom in my house so time was a factor. They did what they said, were always responsive and helpful. Quality work to my satisfaction and done on time! Plan to hire again!

Things turned-out well. They were very easy to work with and were flexible regarding changes during the project. The work was done very professionally.

It was OK. There was a little work that needed to be done. Overall it was satisfactory. They came when they said they would come.

They were wonderful. It was a family owned business. They seemed really capable and attentive. We decided to go with another company. They squeezed me when they didn't have any time to come and see me. They came at some weird hour. They were very accommodating.

It turned out to be a bigger project because there was a foundation problem so they had to knock down the whole structure then build it back up. They did a nice job and their project manager has bent over backwards to make everything right. There are always little glitches with construction and they have done their best to make sure we are satisfied with what they do. I got them from Angie’s List and I didn’t really get competitive bids. The work has been going on for a number of months and they are just about done. The permit delays have pushed them back, but once they got going they were very good. They are good to work with and we’ve been very pleased. I would recommend using them because I haven’t had any unpleasant surprises. When he told me that the foundation problems were going to add another $11,000, he gave me a valid explanation about the condition of my house. They are even taking care of the minor things like making sure the door doesn’t catch on the floor. I am very pleased and I would go back to them for more work. I think the price is very fair and the original estimate was about what I thought it would be. He told me up front what the foundation work would be and they have put in a very nice room. For what they did, the price was very fair. The place looks very good and they’ve done a very good job with the rebuilding. He’s been very responsive to the questions I have. Some work had to be redone but he didn’t charge us and all is well now; in the end, they did what they had to do. They are responsive and they want to make things right with the costumer. The people have come in and are doing the work as fast as they can. The only delays have been governmental issues. They are very good workers and they seem to be skilled tradesmen.

I thought that the work was satisfactory although I would not say that it was fantastic. I appreciated their attention to me after the work. They would come right out if there were any problems. They did a good job but their work took longer than they had anticipated. Their price was a little more expensive than their initial quote. Their price was average. I think that it was name of the game with some of those people. I would actually be using them in the future.

The existing tile in the shower was embedded in plaster with mesh, difficult to remove yet fragile. A few tiles on the outside were damaged from pounding inside the shower. The new tile from the shower were used to replace & look fine. I was informed about what would be involved in installing a new bath tub and decided to keep the existing bathtub. We are pleased with the result of the project. Many companies do not want to be involved with a partial renovation.

Luke is terrific - as is the whole staff. We were hoping to have the money to put the addition on, but due to some unexpected financial concerns, it hasn't happened. Luke arrived at our house on a Sunday and went over the scope of work we were hoping to accomplish. We felt comfortable with Luke and asked him to quote other jobs in our house. It's been almost 2 years and the positive impression Luke, (and the whole Neighborhood Remodelers team), left still remains with us. If and when we ever get the money to put on the addition, Neighborhood Remodelers is the way we'll go.

This job went amazing. Points of contact are extremely response and check in frequently. The workers are very neat and considerate. They also pay attention to their work and are mindful of possible problems. For example, the wrong grout for the kitchen tile was delivered (gold on blue instead of gray on blue). This would have looked like h***. Instead of just using it, they called me to see if I had actually selected gold grout for the kitchen. I was very satisfied with the accuracy of the estimate v/s the actual price. The final job was less than estimated. If you want it done right the first time with people that have pride in their work from management to the specialists, this is the company. No BS, great customer service, strong accountability.

Overall the job went very well. Neighborhood Remodelers gave us a quote that was a good deal less than the handful of other contractors we met with - and they came in right on budget. This is our first home and the bathroom required a lot of work, but the team was great with helping us plan and even had a lot of helpful design/cosmetic input. The work was done with a good deal of quality and care. The crew arrived on time each morning and worked a full day. My fiance works from home in an adjoining room and never felt that the work was disturbing her business. They recommended vendors who were easy to work with and gave us good deals. The job did go a bit over schedule, mainly due to delays with a couple of vendors. Great team to work with and would definitely use again.

They showed up on time and explained everything. They were totally reliable and trustworthy. We left them here when we were out of town. They were wonderful. We would definitely use them again.

We designed the rooms and purchased the decor items (ie; toilet, tiles, cabinets, sink, fixtures, etc., they offer this service but it's pretty limited) ourselves and and they installed it. They supplied the raw materials. There were some issues with communication since one of the workers did not speak english. Any problems that creeped up during and after the work was done were resolved in a timely manner. ADVICE: With any remodeling job, pay attention to what is being done and be available should questions or a need for decisions arise. Take pictures of the progress of the work from the studs to the electrical and plumbing. You may need to know what was done behind the walls should any issues creep up in the future. No one is perfect and you will find issues as years go by. Overall, we were happy with the results.
