EMERALD LANDSCAPE CONTRACTORS INC

I had hired Emerald Landscaping last fall (2022) to landscape my front yard. Dealt with a Lewis who did the job. I was suppose to have a tree planted with the work and the crew missed two other plants but at that time of the year the proper size tree was not available so we agreed that he would back that cost out and they would do it next year for the cost backed out. So it's the start of the summer 2023. I called Emerald to schedule the work and I got a Chris. I asked for Lewis and he informed me that Lewis was just watching the company while Chris was going through a divorce and was no longer with Emerald. So I explained the project and sent him the invoice and notes on the project. Chris really didn't know what was going on and said he would get back to me. After couple of weeks he never called back and I called him again. He still did not know what was going on and started into a store of Luke committing fraud and he was trying to settle things and said he would call me back. In the meanwhile I can see two other plants did not survive the Winter and they were under warranty by Emerald. By now I had call Chris a few times trying to get him to finish the work. He only called back once again confused and said he would call back. That was the last I ever heard from him even after I called him a few more times. I don't know the whole story here on what's going on with him and his supposed company but it all seems very shady and the simple fact is he did not honor his warranty nor finished the job his company committed to. I consider this a very poor way to treat your customer and highly recommend finding some one more reparable to do your work. I do not recommend Emerald and am sorry I used them. Chris seems to be a real weasel.

They did an excellent job.

Emerald did a very good job of repairing the damage created by the addition. They added new sand/gravel to slope the patio away from the house and even added a PVC pipe for drainage under the pavers. They power washed it when they were done. There were 2 crews working so the project was completed very quickly.

They did an excellent job and they are true professionals. Chris is very good at his business and very honest. He was also responsive throughout the entire process. We love our walkway, front stoop and patio. We highly recommend Emerald Landscape Contractor Inc!

Chris, the owner was very helpful with suggestions about how to re-configure the backyard and always responsive to calls and questions. Along with the proposal, he included a list of clients that the company has done work for in the area. The removal of the cement wall turned out to be a bigger (more labor intensive) job than initially thought, but they had all of the right machinery on site and managed to get it out successfully The entire crew was very hard working and professional. The paver pattern that we selected was somewhat complicated with curves and they did a beautiful job laying them out. It was obvious that they've had a lot of experience with this kind of work. We noticed afterwards that one of the pavers was stained and they came out within days to replace it. They did a fabulous job. We are very pleased and would absolutely recommend their services.

He provides you with referrals. They are park ridge licensed for my area. I will continue using them in the future.

Received an estimate based on a one-to-one meeting and discussion of what we wanted. Once we agreed on a final number, in conjunction with obtaining two other estimates, we signed off on a written proposal and set a date for beginning construction. The crew was timely, worked full days and were helpful in all respects. In connection with a few last minute issues that came up, Chris was cooperative and was able to accommodate those items within the framework of the total job which took five full business days to complete. It was one of the best experiences we have had in conjunction with a major household project.
