Showed up on very short notice for a painting quote for some unexpected work we needed after seeing how the sellers left the walls in our new home, so far so good. Didn't bring any paint samples though, said that comes after the quote...seemed like an un-needed step wasting their time, but OK. Got the quote the same night, which was great. Due to their schedule and our admittedly busy schedule it took a week to get a color selection done...which seemed like a completely wasted trip. Still was not prepared to make an appointment, left it open ended. When contacted, could not schedule the appointment that day (I don't even care if it didn't happen for another 4 weeks, there's no reason to take that long just to schedule the work). I work for a mechanical contractor, so I understand when you're busy, you're busy...but making extra trips certainly isn't going to expedite things. Just seemed a bit too disorganized and made me worried it could potentially drag out for another week before we were even on the books. May do great work...just be careful if you need anything done on any kind of schedule

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I didn't use it until the expiration date. Overall, they were excellent.

Diana was such a big help!! We got a quote from her originally to remove wallpaper and resurface some walls in our future home. We didn't go with her at first - BIG MISTAKE!! Should have started with them because they were the most reasonable company to give us a quote. Diana came in and made some great suggestions, and got the work done on our very strict timeline. Her and her husband make a great team. Our walls are beautiful, and the colors she helped me with look timeless. If we weren't in such a rush (we were about to move in to our new home), I would have had her come back and finish a couple minor details for us. But they completed everything we contracted them to do within our strict timeframe. Thanks, Diana, for helping us to have a lovely home!!

Bought deal and then had to cancel it and get a refund as vendor did not respond to repeated calls for an appointment.

When I purchased the deal I sent an e-mail to the supplier with all my contact information but I heard nothing. I was ready to contact Angie's List for a refund when I decided to make a phone call and Diana called me back and said she had never received my e-mail. So we made a date and she came over and spent time going over color suggestions with me and I was very pleased with her suggestions. She drew a diagram showing which colors would go where in my living room and upstairs and downstairs hallways. She asked if I planned to do the painting myself, which I did not, so she told me her company also did painting; within a few days she sent me an estimate, broken down by areas. I accepted the estimate but told her I first needed to have an electrician come to install a ceiling fan and another hall light and once that was done I would be ready to paint. Once I had a date for the electrician, I set up the next day for the painting to begin. Diana arrived, with the painter, and marked the colors for each area. The painter did an excellent job and I was very impressed with how he patched and sanded areas where necessary before painting. He worked very hard, arriving at 7am each morning and working until around 3 p.m. (hours he approved with me beforehand). Diana had recommended a color for the doors and trim but it was not included in her estimate because I was going to do that myself but because I was so impressed with the painter she revised her original estimate and I had him do the doors and trim too. She had said there would be 2 painters but actually for the first 2 days there was only the one; a second painter came the third day - he was okay but obviously not nearly as experienced and professional as the main guy. My only negative comment would be that I would have liked Diana to have stopped in to see how things were going, especially as we had a question about the color for one of the walls. She did call after all the work was done to see how things went and if I was pleased with the colors, etc. We never actually spoke - she left me a voicemail and when I returned her call a few days later, after living with the colors a few days, I also got her voicemail. Communication could be improved but the work itself I have no complaints about - either the design consultation or the painting, all of which I am very happy with and would certainly recommend the company to others. The staff was very helpful in scheduling the work, as well as a follow-up visit after the material had dried. The gentleman who did the work was very polite and professional. He patiently explained what needed to be done, and was very helpful in trying to work within our budget. He was also very flexible and helpful in meeting a time deadline, even though our schedule was very tight. He was very fair in pricing the extra work which we requested. He did a good job of cleaning up after the work was done.

The overall experience was great, was prompt and friendly!

We purchased a Big Deal for drywall repair for three hours. It was easy to schedule an appointment and everyone involved was professional and acted in a timely fashion. The company specializes in interior decorating and painting. A painter came to the house and was able to make several drywall repairs in about half the time that was prepaid. This was somewhat frustrating as we didn't need the full time of three hours that we purchased in the Big Deal. We didn't have supplies (paint) for him to do further work. This is, of course, my own fault for not planning the labor hours more accurately. It would have been nice for them to have provided a credit for future work, but they did not. Therefore, we liked the work, but it turned out to have been a bad value for these simple repairs and should have cost us less.

Creative Walls and Spaces provided a color analysis for the first-floor level of my tri-level condo. Diana did such a great job picking colors to tie the decor together within a challenging open space. I was so pleased with her help, that I asked Creative to do the actual painting. They did a terrific job with several colors on alternate walls. I love the result and would definitely use them again.

They did a really good job and were a pleasure to work with.

This is the second time they have painted in my house. Diana does a wonderful job with picking the right color for the room. The painters do a great job. Punctual, neat, and a great job painting. I can recomend their service to anyone.

I am colorblind, so while I know what I like, it is a challenge for me to see what works or doesn't, so this was the perfect solution for me when I bought my condo and needed to freshen and personalize the color palette. Diane arrived for a color consultation and we started with the living room. I had an idea of what I wanted but no idea how to begin. She noticed my oriental rug, which had one of the plum/purple colors I like, and suggested that we begin by coordinating with that. We chose n earthy purple for the accent wall behind the white brick fireplace and a warm beige for the other 3 walls. She suggested a trim color that would work throughout the entire unit to pull it together, despite different wall colors in different rooms. After the consultation, she emailed me the details based on her notes to outline which which walls would get which paint. This made it very easy to review and communicate the details to the painters. when they arrived.

PAINTING SERVICE: Meticulous isn't a description used in the painting business, but these two professionals weren't meticulous at one thing, NO, they were meticulous every step of the way. Prompt arrival; previous briefing on job; shown space and materials . . . and they took the wheel from that moment on thru completion. Our project split the team: One painter inside painting a home office; the second painter was outside painting a newly built front porch; did I mention outdoors, temperature 100+, worked eight hours and not one complaint; we did provide a gallon of iced tea which he accepted gladly. The other painter caulked, painted, finished early and asked if there were any other small, quick jobs he'd complete. Upon completion they cleaned everything, piled the materials in an orderly way, and said good-bye with two quarts of iced-tea. We didn't study, nitpick, approve; we Admired their work. CUSTOMER SERVICE: To enjoy the meticulous painting you've got to pass the herd of Erzgebirg German goats shuffling through new snow up the one-lane mountain pass. I'm not kidding! I'm not using some esoteric metaphor! The female owner of the company was absolutely impossible to reach by phone. I drove past her business address to confirm their existence. After six-weeks of frustration we finally received a call from a young man (with no knowledge of our project) who was returning calls while she was in Italy! Further delays capped her Italian holiday until that one September day when the Meticulous Painting Pair arrived punctually and prepared. If you have the time, determination, and fortitude to endure her idea of sales and service, you will enjoy the painting job. However, if you'd like to be treated as you treat others, forget it. Just forget it.

Diana was punctual and very professional. She has flare for color and interior design. She is easy to work with.We received her written summary within a day after she met with us and she followed up soon thereafter.

I really, really enjoyed working with her. She started from what features of the unit are permanent, what do I have that's staying. She pointed out that I have very intensely colored rugs but very pale walls. She suggested that the intensity of the wall colors should match the rugs. I think she's right. Then she used color wheels to make suggestions for wall colors that would work well with what I already have. I loved her suggestions; I raced out and bought paint samples after she left. While some of the colors were perfect, some need to be changed slightly. But, she gave me a new way to think about how to choose color and I think her suggestions were right on. It would never have occurred to me to paint the bedroom green but now I can't imagine any other color working in there. She also had some great design ideas in terms of furniture placement. It was just plain fun to work with her.

All the folks at Creative Walls and Spaces were friendly and professional. From the phone conversations to the initial visit, to the meticulous and clean completion of the job, they knew what they were doing and they were happy to be doing it for me. I will definitely call them for my next painting project.

Diane did an outstanding job in repairing my faux painting and venetian plaster. We had just purchased our condo and the former owner had left a number of large holes and dings in the walls. Diane took extreme care in ensuring that the colors matched perfectly. This took a couple of trips to make sure it was just right. Diane worked diligently to make sure the job was just perfect. She also was very helpful in offering to work on the job at a time when I was having furniture delivered while I was out of town. Diane is a true professional that takes pride in her work.

The problems were related to the company onwer and poor responsiveness. We had purchased a coupon for painting work and the owner was not returning phone calls when we attempted contact to get the work done. One of the painters ened up finally returning out calls and getting an appointment set. Then, just before the work was to be done, he called and said he'd have to cancel out appointment as several other jobs ahead of us were yet to be completed. The owner had acutally left the country after selling off numerous coupon, and left all of the scheduling work to the painter, who was also trying to get the work done. He did reschedule the work and, on the new data, did show up on time. He and the other painter working with him did very professional work, and were prompt and courteous. So from a work product standpoint, everything was great. Can't say the same about responsiveness and scheduling, however. I would certainly use the painters again, but not sure I'd use the company again.

The work was estimated the week before, the work completed in one day, and I am very happy with the quality and colors selected.

I thought for the most part that they were really good. The guys were really nice, but the only thing is that it could've been a little neater as far as their cleanup. There was a little paint left on my floor, but it was okay. They were responsive although she was kind of hard to get a hold of. I think I would use them again, but it was my fault because I didn't really look around and so I'll just be a little bit more aware when they are leaving to make sure that they've cleaned up and stuff.

Before the work started I went through a lof of color experimentation, trying to find colors that I liked. I put up multiple colored poster boards throughout the condo to see how the colors would look in different lighting conditions throughout the day. Interestingly, I discovered through this process that I did not want any colors on my walls. I chose white instead. Finding the right white then became the next step. Benjamin Moore has like about 200 shades of white! I ended up choosing a pure white with no undertones. I chose Chantilly Lace. The saying goes that those who paint their walls white are afraid of color. Well, the opposite can also be true. Those who paint their walls different color are afraid of white :-). I was also going for a mostly white on white design with some black furniture accent (I have white leather sofa, white dining tables and chairs, white desk, white bed, etc.) I admit it, I love white. I love the simplicity and elegance of white which goes well with the minimalist modern design of my condo. Having chosen my color I contacted Diana just after the Christmas holidays. She was able to set up a start date of January 3. That worked out great because I was having my housewarming party on January 20 ( I ended up cooking a five course Italian dinner for 9 people. It was fantastic!). Tony and Chris did the work. They showed up on time, usually 8 am. As I work from home, I was able to observe the progress of the work from day to day.They put in a straight eight hour day, taking small breaks here and there. I was surprised that they worked straight through without eating lunch. I felt I was getting my money's worth. But I did make them take a break by making espresso for Tony and Chris every day. Tony is what I would call an artisan painter. He would look at the wall separation problem that my walls had and come up with a unique solution that turned out great. Now, you can't tell that the walls had any separation problem at all. I'm very happy with the result. I also got to know Tony and Chris not only as my painters but also as persons. Via Pandora I was able to create music stations that featured the music that they liked to hear. My thinking was to create a pleasant working environment. One of the highlights was when Tony was the only person who came (Chris had another job that day). I found out that Tony liked opera (so do I). So I was getting my walls painted my favorite white color and this was being done while listening to Turandot by Puccini. I was so happy that day that my vision for my space was becoming a reality and Luciano Pavarotti was singing Puccini at the same time. Working with white can be tricky. The underlying color of my walls were a dark grey-green color and a dark blue-violet color. I chose Benjamin Moore Aura paint which is top of the line for them. It is not supposed to need priming and they say you only need one coat. It did not work out that way. Tony and Christ applied two coats of paint to really paint over the underlying color. Well during the days after the work was completed, I began to notice that under different lighting conditions some of the underlying color was bleeding through. Tony and Chris came a week later on a Saturday morning. They did more wall repair work and put on a third coat on the walls in the living and dining room. I took out my checkbook out to pay for the work that they had just done (6 man hours). To my total surprise, Tony did not want payment. He took responsibility for the walls bleeding through. How great is that! If you are looking for creative solutions to your wall and paint problems, I would highly recommend Creative Walls and Spaces to you.

When I originally called Creative Walls and Spaces it took a little bit of time for the owner Diana (I think her name was) to get back to me. When she came out to visit our home she was unprepared and did not really take notes of what needed to be done. She also insulted our decorating taste in an attempt to try to sell us more of her services. It was really discouraging because we know what we would like to do with our home but we are just starting out and it will take some time to afford everything that we want to do. When the actual contractors came over to do the work - she did not convey any notes about our conversation and it was like she did not even come over here. The contractor who spoke English spent a lot of time on his mobile phone and was telling me a great deal about his personal business. I took the day off to be home while they were doing the work - and then they decided they would not be able to complete the job. The painting itself was sloppy and mediocre. Spots were missed on the walls. When we called with our concerns they sent over the same guy who was distracted and unfocused to finish the job. He also made mistakes and missed spots. My husband will be repainting some areas of where they did their work. Diana explained to me that they were not making money selling these Angie's List deals - and honestly I would have paid more and had them do more work if they did a decent job. (But they did not do a good job - so it makes sense that they are not making any money on these jobs - they would get their foot into the door and then they would have the opportunity to sell themselves to the customer. I definitely would never recommend this company and I am disappointed that I made this purchase.

The person that came out was very nice and was on time. I didn't feel he was a great drywall guy though. I got the 4 hours of work for $99, but it went over by an hour or hour and a half so it cost me more $. It was a small job and could have been easily done in 4 hours or less in my opinion. The worker did get many cell phone calls while he was at my house while working. I am in the trades and I supervise a crew of 9 workers so I may expect more than the average guy. I got the feeling that this job may have been smaller than they prefer. They do have a ton of great reviews and people don't give great reviews if you don't do great work, so maybe I just hit on an off day.

The 2 man crew showed up on time after also confirming appointment by phone beforehand. The work was of a high quality and they had great attention to detail. Cleanup was performed. Would reccommend.
