The hallway work was fine but the accent wall has problems. Diana states that it was the paint we selected (Gliden) for the reason the the wall didn't turn out as expected. She recommended Benjamin Moore. Would have been a great tip, but we already had the paint. The painter didn't have a problem with it but when the paint dried there are visible vertical lines showing. I wrote to Diana and explained the issues with the wall. Diana stated that ultimately she wants us to be happy with the service. Diana said she or her husband would be stopping by to look at the wall and offer a solution. However, that's pretty hard to do when you can't reach her. Emails and phone calls go unanswered for several days at a time. Diana has an extremely nice person with a personality to boot, but personality will only take you so far. In the end reputation trumps personality. I would like to give them an A rating, with A representing AVOID! if you want your project done in a timely manner.

It went very well. She picked very nice colors which I will use.

Diana did a superb job matching the existing artwork (which was quite tricky to do), and she was responsive and professional. I highly recommend her for your faux painting needs.

It went good. It was a little pricey, but they did really good work. They were able to do it pretty quick. There were no problems with the paint job; there was no damage to the house at all. They pretty much did the service as they said they would. Texturing the walls is a little more advanced type of painting like interior decorating. We just needed a basic paint job being done. For the price we paid, it was expensive, but it was done right. They were a little pricey just for a basic paint job. I would consider using them again in the future. But I would use them only for something that is a little more advanced like paint texturing or something that uses more advanced painting techniques and not just simple painting walls.

It went very well. It was a young woman named Cathy. She was terrific. She came with a man who she supervised. She did a wonderful job. I found some cleaning help through her too. It was excellent. The young woman runs the business. She has very nice aesthetic taste. The work that was done was very careful. She was trustworthy. It was a big deal purchase. The price was whatever was quoted. There might have been couple of extra little jobs that I added but the price didn’t change.

We didn't end up using them but they seemed really nice.

Everything went very well. Diana's proposal was very detailed so we had a great idea of what pricing would be if we decided to paint our entire condo, just a few rooms, or just the walls and no trim. The work was completed within the agreed timeframe. Tony came after the paint was done to frame, cut out, and install a door underneath our stairs. He did a great job and was a pleasure to have over. I highly recommend Diana and her team!

They did a fabulous job. I would call them back if I had more money right now. They did a great job. I do not remember how long it took them because it was a lot of plaster, and it had to dry. So, I think it took a couple of days maybe even three, but the best thing they did was in the one case of the hole in the wall. It went down into the molding, and I live in an old house and there is decorative molding. So, they recreated the shape of the molding somehow in the plaster for me which I thought was fantastic. They did a lot of work, and I think the price was $99 for four hours. It took away more than for hours. I probably ended up paying about $200 maybe. I did pay them more, but job was more than the $99 for four hours. I thought it was a reasonable price for what they did. They were on-time.

Creative Walls and Spaces completed an interior paint job for me in August. In October, I had a leak in my ceiling and the plumber who fixed this blew plaster dust on the blue wall that had been painted just two months earlier. I asked Diana to come back to my house to give me an estimate to repair the ceiling. In the meantime, I tried to clean the wall with a damp cloth. The paint smeared. The blue she recommended has made my family room dark and dreary. She came to my home and told my daughter she would call me with an estimate. I never received a phone call. Apparently, this wasn't worth her time.

They are very good. I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to others. They are fairly priced for what you get. They are very knowledgable.

It took us a while to get the person to come and do the work.

The provider was very responsive once they received notification of the Big Deal purchase. However, due to the high demand for the deal we were not able to be scheduled for approx. three weeks. The provider worked with us to try to fit us in as early as they could. On the scheduled day, the painters arrived on time and worked efficiently and carefully. They were very neat and did a very professional job. They also cleaned up very well. It was definitely a great deal with a quality job! Thank you Angie's and Creative Walls and Spaces!

Very flexible and willing to work with my schedule. The two painters were on time on the scheduled day and were very careful in putting down drop cloths over the entire carpet before they began working. They were very particular about providing a quality job and even pointed out a wall that needed a second coat due to a previously poor painting job I had done. They did a professional job and the place looked great. I was pleased about how much they were able to cover in a day and was very pleased with the value of the Big Deal. I have paid twice as much for the same amount of work. I was a little sceptical about the quality and the amount of work that would be done for such a low price but they were outstanding!

Everything went well. The workers were very efficient and polite, did a quality job, and arrived on schedule. Furthermore, they didn't leave a mess and kept the area clean while they worked.

She was very nice and friendly. She was very professional and did a great job of choosing colors. I would highly recommend her and use her again. She worked with our wood colors and she did a great job. She wasn’t pushy and wasn’t trying to sell you a service. I liked her professionalism. She took about an hour and a half, and took the time that was needed to do the job.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were okay. The guy was really slow, it was kind of like he wanted to extend the time because the deal was just for a day so that’s what I basically noticed. He came for 2 days so I paid an additional amount.

We were very happy with her service. I initially thought I could pick my own colors and had started painting different colors of the wall trying to decide but we had just moved in to a new house and the flow of the new house was more open, making choosing colors a lot more difficult. The house was a little bit in chaos with boxes everywhere. She was very easy to schedule and showed up right on time. She was great helping me not only pick colors but understanding why the colors she suggested worked with my furniture better than the ones I was initially thinking. The whole process only took 2 hours and I'm very happy with the colors.

Didn't do this project. I'd hired Trela Roofing to repair the skylight prior to fixing the ceiling plaster. But, they told me I'd need a $5K replacement. They did some caulking, but it made the situation (much) worse. I now have the entire venting skylight tarped with clear plastic, and it's stayed dry all this time. Along with the Glenn Stevens mess on my ruined sidewalk, I guess I've been pretty gun shy. Anyway, it looks like I'll have to sell, and I can't afford to fix the skylight, so I'll probably just patch it myself.

We have lived in this house for nearly 30 years and raised 3 children to adulthood here, it was time for complete makeover including paint and carpeting. The initial first step is always the hardest especially on a large project like this that included our own sweat equity of moving all of the furniture out of the house and then back in again. We contacted Diana from Creative Walls & Spaces mainly due to the reviews of her ability to choose pleasing and complementary color choices from room to room. My wife and I have always had trouble in this area; what we thought would look good usually became tiring and out of place soon after painting. Diana proved to be an expert at this, she considered our tastes and existing furniture colors and quickly put together colors that had us excited! She even helped us in selecting new carpet colors to go with the new paint. The painters showed up on time each day and pleasant, polite, professional and thorough. They worked long days to complete the project in 4 days. I had cracks in the walls and ceiling along with some very rough walls in the stairwell and hallway due to wallpaper removal which were expertly repaired and smoothed prior to painting. They also caulked some ceiling/wall joints where there had been some previous water damage. All repaired surfaces were primed and prepped for painting. On one of the days Tony filled in for one of his regular painters; I had a truly enjoyable day talking with him and listening to the stories he shared (we are both car guys!). The end result is fantastic - the dining room color really makes the room pop with our furniture, the family room is warm and inviting, and the rest of the rooms just flow from one room to another. The day after the painters finished up we noticed a couple of areas that needed touch up; you really couldn't tell until the paint was dry. No problem, Tony quickly returned to save the day (and more stories!). This was the most pleasant and satisfying experience I have ever had with any contractor. I would (and will) highly recommend Creative Walls & Spaces to anyone looking to transform a room or a whole house. Thanks Diana and Tony and the guys!

Diana came out to advise on colors. She hates white which was what my walls had been painted. She suggested a color with an accent wall and I really like the resuts. Tony fixed my molding which was damaged from water seapage in April. All were pleasant and did the job in a timely manner. Tony cleaned up before he left.

Once she heard that I was getting two other quotes, her tone changed and she said "Well, it looks like you're all set then there". Really, you don't want my job or to compete with others? That's how this works, I compare my opinions before handing off money to someone - it's a shame she doesn't want my work or to compete - she should have handled it better.

The painting was done very professionally, neatly and expeditiously. All necessary touch-ups were taken care of. An unforeseen and accidental breakage of a medicine cabinet mirror was rectified by the installation of a new one at no cost to us. When we were unhappy with how one wall looked ( the color), they repainted it the next day. The painters were very careful with our solid wood floors and they cleaned up after the completion of each room.

The ceiling is like vaulted, it rises in one direction. The walls are green and the ceilings white and they got white paint on the green wall. They left uneven edges. They took down one part of the chandelier in the dining room and we had to call them back to put that on because my husband can't run a ladder. So they had to come and do that. They came and did it but it was fairly clear that they wanted to get in and out of here as fast as possible. There were no extra charges beyond the big deal amount. I guess the price was okay. I think it was 8 hours of painting and there were two of them. I think they were here for half a day. They moved so fast that they didn't do a great job. I don't remember them doing any taping. They didn't do anything extra. My husband had already touched up some nail pops and we didn't expect them to do that. Our carpet is navy blue and I think there is even a drop of paint on the carpet. I don't think they put turps over anything. They didn't tape anything. It wasn't terribly expensive, it wasn't terribly cheap considering that a year later we still have spots that you can see. It doesn't look like professionals did it. They were pretty good about coming. When we called them to come back and fix the chandelier they came back. If a professional painter doesn't do a professional job it's not very professional! We used them because we got a good price for them.

We bought an old, Arts & Crafts-style home in Evanston about 18 months ago. For most of that time, we have been trying to find someone to paint the stencil. Unbeknownst to us, the stencil is (apparently) is particularly difficult design to apply and we contacted--and had no success for various reasons--with a number of other contractors. We found Diana through Angie's List and even she had more difficulty than she initially expected. We had a bit of difficult with scheduling but finally everything fell into place. Her husband came to measure (for the actual placement of the repeating stencils) and was exceptionally careful and precise. Diana came a few days later and spent several hours doing the work. By and large, we're happy with the work. It has the inconsistency of true hand-done work, and we do not mean that as a criticism. Any time work like this is done by hand (the same stencil was applied four times to each wall, for a total of sixteen small jobs), it is inevitable that it won't be perfect or match perfectly. So we didn't expect that; however, some of the stencils vary a bit more in color than we expected and toward the end, we notice that the stencils on the last wall are less exact and precise than others. Overall, we are happy with Diana's work. We are dismayed that it took so long to find someone, but we like her attention to detail and would recommend her to anyone looking for stencilling.

I had signed up for this coupon and then I had to reschedule when my deal for a new place fell through. When I found a new place, I needed more than just one room done. I needed the whole house. I had seen work at a friend's house and hired her team to do most of my house. WHen the Creative Walls guy learned this, at first he was going to leave. I had to talk him down. Once he understood, he did good work and was very nice.
