Dan and team did a great job with our basement and even helped us out when we weren’t sure what decision we should make.

We were worried about having to find a contractor that was fair and honest. We got that and much more from the owner Dan at Alumni Builders. I can truly say it was a pleasure to work with him. He was incredibly responsive throughout the process, clearly laid out timelines and what was to be expected and even finished ahead of schedule. What's better is that the price quotes was the priced charged. There were no hidden fees or mysterious expensive "complications" during the work. We cannot thank and recommend Dan and his team enough to anyone looking for a contractor. He truly went above and beyond including meeting during off hours when it was convenient for us rather than best for him. We will absolutely be using Alumni Builders in the future.

Dan and his workers did a great job remodeling our basement, and Dan was great in responding to us and working with us. I have heard many stories of contractors who work slowly and unevenly. This is NOT the case with Alumni! They are really really efficient and get the job done quickly. One thing people should know, then, is that it is really important to have as many choices as early as you can, probably before scheduling. Dan was great overall in working with us when we didn't, but having a clear sense of choices earlier would have made things easier. Dan was also clear about everything up front with add-ons, and what we'd pay for an what was covered/allowed in the contract price. Very professional!

Daniel and his team did an outstanding job remodeling our basement. Communication throughout the project was excellent and the project was finished on time with very little surprises. Daniel made some excellent recommendations on flooring, electrical layout and the best ways to utilize limited space. His knowledge and expertise was appreciated and contributed to a better finished product.

Worked with Dan on a multi-floor remodel of our home. We were a bit nervous about the size and scope of the project as we've never done a remodel before. But I'm happy to say that the process couldn't have gone any smoother and the results exceeded our expectations. We're big fans of the remodel shows on HGTV, and when it was all finished, we felt like we were one of those couples gawking over how great everything looked. Dan and his guys were consummate professionals, performed all work as specified (no surprises!), with great quality/craftsmanship, on time and on budget. What more could you ask!

Dan and his team do excellent, quality work in a timely manner and on budget. They took extra care to keep the work site clean during the project. Dan always kept me informed on progress and next steps. He was clear on what the timeline was and what the costs would be. And he was on target with both. Because of the trust Dan and his team developed during the project, I asked for three additional smaller projects that were also completed on time, on budget, and with high quality. Alumni Builders are impressive and I highly recommend them.

Dan Nistor and his team from Alumni builders did an extraordinary job refinishing our basement. Dan is an honest and very skilled individual who made certain that each step was carried out with great attention to detail but at the same time was very flexible and dealing with the details of our project. He was willing to work with in the confines of our life in terms of flexibility and accommodating our busy schedules. He takes great pride in his work and has great expertise. The subcontractors he used were all equally expert, courteous And paid great attention to detail. He made a number of helpful suggestions and remained flexible throughout the project. We had three other estimates and his was the lowest and at the same time he delivered very high-quality work. We would highly recommend him and use him again.

After getting 7 estimates to remodel our basement and do some carpentry/electrical work upstairs my wife and I decided to use Alumni Builders. Most of the other companies said the job was too small or that there was not enough "profit" for them in the job, but from day one Dan was receptive to our needs, understood that we had a fairly tight budget and was very communicative. He was at the house each day to ensure the crew was doing what needed to be done and I have to say his guys were all super friendly, clean and did fantastic work. He even sent his painter back to the house to finish up some calking work after final payment was made which just goes to show he is a man of his word....something that is not all that common these days. We will definitely use him again in the future for any of our projects and I would highly recommend him.

Dan and his team did excellent work and were extremely professional throughout. Dan's communication is top notch and he always keeps you in the loop as to what is going on in the project and what the next stages are. The final product was way better than I could have ever imaged.

We also had painting done along with a portion of a wall removed in order to open up the area between the kitchen and living room.

Dan was always available to answer any questions I had, he came to job site daily to see if all was going well. His crew wired steadily & did an excellent job cleaning up.
