Excellent work; I later hired the company to provide weekly lawn cutting service for 1 year. When the price went up beyond my budget, I decided not to hire for another year. The company did not wait to receive my signed contract and went ahead and did a spring cleanup, although I had already hired another company to do this. Gary's company continue to bill me for that unwanted service, to the point of harassment. I did not like the way this was handled.

I have a 1953 house on a slab that is settling on a somewhat marshy plot. Lately, during heavy rains water had begun to run down and into the back door of the house. I talked to several landscapers to come up with a natural plan to divert the water away from the foundation and to take care of ''deferred maintenance'' on the property. Gary was the most expensive bid, but the most detail oriented. He suggested imperceptably tilting the patio blocks (and then did so, one by one with level). He also dug the swale deeper than anyone else suggested in order to take out the clay (which is thick here) and replace it with topsoil so that the lawn growth would not be adversely effected by the removal.He was a total good sport about the local building supply store mixing up my order and giving them the wrong new pavers, finding underground electric I did not know about, rain, and other unexpected complications and letting me make ''last minute'' changes.
