Description of Work: We contacted Total Paving in mid February to set an appointment to have our driveway sealed when the weather was warmer. When we had it orginally installed by a different company, we were left with blotches on the surface. Returning our message was prompt, and was told that when they start estimates the first of March we will be contacted. George came by on the 2nd, and very politely explained that sealing the concrete now would not improve it's appearance. How refreshing to have a company not want to take our money unnecessary. We appreciate his honesty. He suggested to contact him in a few years and they will look at it again.

Description of Work: I'm having some issues with the way they did the blacktop. They were blaming the way the sidewalk was laid. They pitched the blacktop towards the cement which they shouldn't have. I wanted the water to go away from the house. He said that would not be a problem. He said they would fine grade everything. They came out. It looked nice. I'm getting puddles now. He said we'll revisit this in the spring time. I paid him 90%. All of a sudden, an attorney sent me a letter telling me that I owe them the last 10% when we had agreed that the job wasn't done.

Description of Work: Removed the old driveway (two-car wide). laid new bed, put down new asphalt driveway. Beautiful work, careful, with excellent drainage and beveled edges. Couldn't be happier with the results and the quality.

Description of Work: Removed and replaced the asphalt on my driveway. They did an absolutely wonderful job. They were on time, made quick work, cleaned up everything, and came back for an inspection. I'll be hiring them again this year for another sealer.

Description of Work: For my driveway one year ago. They came in on time. They did very well for one part when I was there. However, they did not do good work for the other parts when I was not there. Those parts can hold water now.

Description of Work: Total Paving installed a blacktop driveway. The work was completed on the date scheduled and was professionally done. The following fall we contacted them to come back out to seal the blacktop. That work was done on schedule but we had some concerns about the appearance after it dried completely. We emailed and phoned our contact at Total Paving but did not hear back from her.

Description of Work: Removed old asphault driveway, re-leveled and added rock, and then repaved with new asphault. |Initially we had to reschedule the appoint to get the quote, but the bid process, and work went very well. Additionally, this company has bought out a local firm in my area (Waukegan) which resulted in two appointments and the coordination of scheduling everything a bit disjointed. However, the guys were great to work with and did great work (price was $900 less than the number 2 bid and resulted in a thicker asphault driveway).

Description of Work: Great quality work. Pricing was fair. The driveway looks so great! No dips and valleys for water to settle into. You really have to work around the weather, so be prepared for the process to take longer than you anticipate. Very satisfied and would recommend Total Paving to a friend.

Description of Work: The removed and installed a asphalt driveway for me. This was the best customer service I dealt with out of all the companies I tried. Their price was within the best deals I found but the customer service and delivery date for services to be performed put it over the top!

Description of Work: This paving company is AWESOME. I will try attach a PDF of the drainage on my driveway. Even though they encountered garage concrete that was twice as thick as they expected, they took care of it, and built the perfect driveway. It drains right down the middle - not towards my house, and not towards my neighbors house. If you can book with this company, do not hesitate!!!
