Reinventing Space

The changes she suggested made me want to buy the house. The cost of the items she suggested we buy to fix up the house was under $500. She has a good eye for what makes a space look inviting. We plan to use her for our new home for decorating and arranging. The cost would have been lower if we had just done an initial consult but I wanted her to come back and see if everything looked OK.

I was struggling with enjoying the space. I told her what would be in my dream house and how it wasn't possible in the space I had. She came up with a very out of the box idea that really it all possible. We flipped the functions of rooms to allow me to have the open concept feel that I was looking for and create a space for a much need mud room area. Julea also helped me design my kitchen - she gave me some ideas that I wouldn't have thought of on my own. Just recently she helped me figure out how to restructure my basement when planning how to finish it. she has a lot of knowledge about different design ideas which help to understand all of the choices. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to freshen up a space.

She went into changing furniture and I found her to be very high pressure which I didn't like. She was very friendly and nice, but she just did not really help with what I wanted to do.

Julea was delightful to work with. I took notes which was good because we did not receive a written suggestion list from her. She sent follow-up ideas and clarifications and sources as promised.

Julea was very upbeat and enthusiastic! She is very creative and her ideas for re-decorating my great room were in concert with my present furnishings and artwork. Painting my great room is very costly, so I was glad for Julea's expert advice. I will consult her again for interior redesign again.

She is the first designer who really is a common sense decorator. She's been on Design on a Dime twice and has been on HGTV. She comes up with smart solutions and does a great job. She goes shopping with me and is OK with using what you've got and not spending money unless you have to. Cost is per hour.
