Craig, the owner was extremely professional, flexible, easy to work with and thorough. Craig did a fantastic job painting and adding custom detailing to our existing cabinets. He was very knowledgeable and helpful during the entire process. He worked with us to achieve exactly what we wanted and gladly made changes as we went along. Craig had great ideas and even added a drawer to one of our islands for extra storage. He was always punctual and cleaned up each day before he left. Craig was easy to communicate with (while in our home, thorugh email and by phone) and made having someone working in our home for many days much easier than we anticipated. We are thrilled with the cabinets and would definitely work with Craig again!

Craig returned my email request within 24 hours with a phone call telling me we could reface our laminate cabinets. I immediately set-up a face-to-face appointment where Craig gave me a proposal. I accepted and he returned to spend two hours measuring my entire kitchen. The entire job took 10 days. Craig is an amazing carpenter; he began by building the frames for the new upper cabinets at the ceiling. He painted everything to match the cabinet fronts and wired the lighting for the ceiling cabinets. The cabinets are hung perfectly and the hardware is beautiful. Craig was able to add frosted glass to the two cabinet fronts on either side of the sink and double-frosted glass to all of the new ceiling cabinets. All was finished within the time frame that Craig quoted.

He quoted me $4-5,000 to repaint the existing doors. This was considerably high as the cost to replace the cabinets completely by Lowes was less then half this amount on the low end and still under this amount on the high end cabinets. he had me take pictures and submit to him rather then come out and look at the job and talk about my budget. For brand new doors he quoted me $6-7,000.

Craig was very responsive, and addressed my needs cost efficiently so that I was able to maintain my budget. Craig's creative solution transformed my dysfunctional cooking area to a space that I now look forward to using.

Craig was very helpful during the planning process. He helped with selection of materials and offered to customize if necessary. The installation went very well and I am very pleased with the finished product. Craig is excellent to work with.

Wow. I couldn't be more thrilled with our "new" cabinets! The work Craig did on both jobs (the master bath and kitchen) was amazing! Both rooms look brand new and at a fraction of the cost of replacing the cabinetry. His attention to detail was very much appreciated - from replacing the childproof locks on the new doors, to placing bumpers on all the drawers for soft closure, to placing a rubber bumper on a window sill that on drawer would hit (poor design by the previous home owners). Craig was wonderful from start to finish. He came out to provide an estimate (gave it on the spot!) on a Sunday to accommodate our schedule, which was so nice. He was very responsive to any email I sent him and was great about communication throughout the process. He's just a really nice guy - which is always a bonus! I would highly recommend Craig and his work to anyone.

From beginning to end, the entire process was very easy. There was not much disruption to the household, and Craig was easy to work with--very professional and polite. I highly recommend Unhinged, Inc.; it was a good experience.

Craig from Unhinged.com came to our house ontime for our appointment. He spent a considerable amount of time showing us cabinet styles and explaining the process. We had hardwood floors and were afraid of there being damage to the floors from the cleaning and refinishing of the cabinet boxes. He assured us that he would not damage the floors and would take complete responsibility if there was any damage. I showed him pictures in a catalog from a big box retailer showing the full overlay doors we liked. Craig told us he was able to match the doors in the picture and do the full overlay doors and drawer fronts. Craig cleaned the old cabinet fronts, touched up the few scratches and refinished the old boxes and a 8ft by 3ft island. His work was beautiful and there was not a bit of damage to our hardwood floors. He brought the new cabinet doors and drawer fronts that he had finished in his shop and they matched perfectedly and were just what we wanted in style and color. When he started installing them I left the kitchen and went to work in my home office. By the time I came back in the kitchen he had installed the majority of the doors and drawer fronts. This is when I realized either my husband and I did not make ourselves clear on what I wanted, full overlay doors and drawer fronts as shown in the catalog picture which stated the space between the doors and drawers was 3/8 inch, or he did not measure correctly. When I questioned him on the spacing he told me he had told us that there would need to be space to open the cabinet doors, which I understood but still thought I was getting what I showed him. I think Craig did a wonderful job on the quality of the refinishing but I now have doors and drawers that have between 1/2 inch & 3/4 inch spacing which is similar to my old doors and not the modern look of the full overlay spacing of 3/8 inch that we showed him in the catalog. He tried to adjust the doors so the spacing was more even but it is still not what I wanted. We can not find fault with his work or his cleanliness and the kitchen does look nice but it is not the full overlay doors with narrow spacing that we know we made sure he knew we wanted. We would use him again because of his work ethics but I would make sure he understood exactly what we wanted.

This was a much more complicated job than it sounds. Craig stripped our 50-year old OAK cabinet boxes and stained them to perfectly match new MAPLE cabinet doors. He did a beautiful job of hiding the oak grain to match the smooth maple. He also installed pull-outs in the lower cabinets to make the pots, etc. easier to access. Craig is very professional and friendly, and he cleaned up at the end of each day. Our kitchen is gorgeous!

Originally I thought I was going to replace my cabinets with new ones. After getting multiple quotes I was shocked by the price, concerned about the possible damage of replacing, and concerned about the environmental impact of discarding cabinets. I did some research and decided to consider refinishing and refacing. I went to Angies List, solicited bids and found Unhinged (Craig). Craig listened carefully to my needs and proposed multiple solutions. Ultimately I chose refinishing. I am extremely pleased with the product and service provided by Craig. He was easy to work with, fair, professional, and experienced. In just one month since job completion, I've received many compliments on the cabinets from friends, family and other contractors alike. An overall great experience.

Craig came on time for his first job inspection in preparation for a quote. He thereafter provided a detailed quote and provided us with a sample cabinet front painted to our chosen color and gloss. I had several other painters quote the job and Craig's price was comparable. We decided on Craig. He met his promised schedule of service delivery. Also he was on time when he said he would be. He is very professional and gives out very detailed accurate information. Besides his punctuality his job was perfect. We had another vendor quote us to spray paint the front panels and then spray paint all then side fixed panels. This would have required the kitchen etc area to be plastic walled off to catch all the excess spray. We went with Craig hoping that the rolled on paint for the sides of the cabinets would be ok, It turned out that this process of spraying the front panels in his shop and roller painting the cabinet sides worked our very nicely. I work at a large company and hire vendors weekly. I know you do not always get what a vendor promises in the beginning. But Craig did deliver and the whole process went perfectly. I really do highly recommend Craig of Unhinged.

Craig reviewed the work required for the project, assisted in selecting the color, made recommendations that improved the look of our island. He then took all the doors of the cabinets with him and when they were refinished, he returned for three days and completed the project. The work was the highest quality and each day he made sure the kitchen was cleaned up before he left. Throughout the project we were never inconvenienced in any way and we were amaze at how smoothly Craig ran the project. Out cabinet are beutiful and he gave them a custom appearance that greatly improve the look and value of our house. We couldn't be happier with his work and were so happy to find him on AngiesList. We definately recommend Craig and Unhinged and give them the highest rating.

Craig is excellent and I would recommend him to anyone; I wish all of the service providers that I have used put as much into their work as Craig does. He provides top-quality work at a fair price, and is reliable and punctual. He is also extremely careful and clean --he puts tarps down and cleans up after himself everyday -- you cannot even tell that he has been sanding and painting at all except your kitchen looks better every day. He is also incredibly responsive and available by both email and phone, and his estimate/quote and pricing are very transparent and there are no surprises. We get so many compliments on our kitchen now -- no one believes that these are the same cabinets -- they look new. Our house painter could not even believe they were painted because he couldn't find any brush strokes. I am so happy that we refinished our kitchen and that we chose Craig to do it!

From his initial visit to quote the job, to the last knob, Craig was excellent. He was on time, very neat, and did beautiful work. He explained everything well, sticked to his quote to the penny, and finished a day ahead of schedule. And his pricing was almost half the cost of the larger companies because he does all the work himself.

Working with Craig was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a contractor. He responded immediately to my inquiry regarding the work; made an appointment to see the cabinet; and showed up when he said he would. He listened to what I wanted and was very knowledgeable about the work he was proposing and gave me the quote. When we accepted the quote he estimated his start time and was exactly on the money (about 2-3 weeks later). He removed the doors and shelves to refinish at his shop and returned with them 5 days later to sand and paint the cabinet in 2 days. He worked quickly and neatly, there was very little dust from the sanding; I still don't know how he did that. And he is a pleasant person to have in your home - kind to children and dogs. The cabinet is gorgeous - it looks brand new. I was hoping for just this fabulous result and I got it. Bottom line Craig is so very, very good at what he does.

Craig did a wonderful job. Our cabinets were a golden-colored hickory and looked dated. They now look brand-new, and our island looks fantastic with the side panels and baseboards. Craig does very careful, professional work -- he took the cabinets and drawer fronts to his workshop and sprayed them, then returned to paint the rest of the cabinet surfaces. He made excellent suggestions, including adding tilt panels to our bathroom vanity (we don't know how we lived without them before). I would enthusiastically use Craig again for any work on our cabinets.

Job went very well. Craig was punctual. Work was done exactly as promised. Left no mess. Cabinets look great.

We were very pleased with Craig's work. The kitchen cabinets turned out wonderful. He was on time, gave us good suggestions, and was always willing to share his expertise. We had to call him to remove some overspray on the interior of the cabinet drawers and he responded promptly. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Craig arrived as promised, did excellent work, cleaned-up after himself, and once again really delivered. When I decide to refinish my other bathroom vanities he will be the one I call to do it. By the way, Craig did my kitchen cabinets over a year ago and they look like they were completed yesterday.

Craig was very professional and he had a lovely product, but unfortunately it was out of my price range, therefore I did not use his company.

Craig was the first contractor willing to not only respond but come for a prompt estimate for our relatively small job! He was very easy to work with both relaxed and professional. His estimates were fully reliable, his time frame was on the mark! He was also very accommodating in regard to delayed start date which we also very much appreciated.

I decided not to replace two custom bath cabinets so I had Craig repaint one and reface the other. The repainted one was finished in a faux painting to complement the tiles. The result was very professional. The refaced cabinet looks like a very high-end cabinet now with thick doors. I thought it was a little pricey but the quality is excellent. I have to admit I did not price around and the last time I had something refaced by another company, the materials used looked much cheaper. So the price may be fair.

He did a beautiful job in the bathroom and I am just thrilled. He did such a nice job in the bathroom that we are going to have him do our kitchen as well. Everything looks new and he also cleaned up the inside which is something that is not normally done. He is a very pleasant and reliable young man.

Everything went very well. He was very kind, clean and punctual. I highly recommend him. He was very neat and even insisted on removing his shoes. He was just a very nice guy.
