By refacing them with custom doors and panels, adding crown molding and color matching the boxes we have what looks to be brand new cabinets. Craig is professional, trust worthy and is meticulous. Description of Work: Craig provided a wonderfully detailed, professional bid to reface and upgrade my old kitchen cabinets. He is a great communicator and polite. We are not going ahead with our remodel at this time but would definitely put him at the top of our list when the time comes.

Description of Work: Refinished kitchen cabinets. Only disappointment was that they could not reproduce the high gloss of the original Kitchen Craft. (He promised to get pretty close but didn't.)

Description of Work: A very pleasant experience. Came to house for estimate and advice regarding a rehab of our kitchen. Explanation was clear and straightforward. We will seriously consider advice so we can move the project forward.

Description of Work: Craig was extremely responsive and friendly. However, the cost proposed for refacing was extremely high -- nearly 60% more than the custom-sized cherry cabinets that we purchased new. With demolition and installation by a contractor, completely replacing our cabinets (and adding some new ones, plus lots of features), was only about 10% more than the re-facing proposal. We felt that, while re-facing would certainly been less disruptive than total cabinet replacement, we could not justify the cost for "just a face-lift."

Description of Work: We have a kitchen that was last remodeled in 1962. While the liked the layout of the cabinets, they were old and beat up. We looked into many options, including refacing. After talking with Sears and other refacing companies, we talked to Craig at Unhinged about his ability to sand and stain the cabinets. He was patient and walked us through all out options. We hired Unhinged to refinish all the cabinets and remake some of the doors that were too damaged to refinish. Craig did an amazing job. He was professional, punctual, did exactly what he said he would. He is very neat and clean, never leaving a mess. He is extremely detail oriented and gets the small things right. He's didn't try to "upsell" into stuff we didn't want. His price was much less than the refacing companies - yet with his work we have our solid wood cabinets, not cabinets with a layer of veneer glued to them. Bottom line - great experience. On time, on budget, high quality, looks beatiful. I highly recommend Craig at Unhinged.

Description of Work: Craig resized one cabinet over the oven as we purchased a larger microwave and it hung too low to the stovetop. He made new doors for the resized cabinet and refinished all the other doors. He also resurfaced a damaged nightstand that turned out like new and touched up cabinets in the master bathroom

Description of Work: Maple cabinets were painted white. Included all drawers, cabinet doors, and exposed areas.

Description of Work: refinished modern kitchen, 2 bathrooms stripped and re-stained touch up cabinet base and kick toe, added a new panel over water damaged bathroom cabinet side.

Description of Work: All cabinets except the island (which was painted and glazed) were stripped and refinished. New hinges were applied that didn't show as opposed to the previous ones which did. Panels were applied to the sides and back of the island as well as base molding.Panels were applied to the sides of the cabinets that showed and new toe kicks were applied. Ten heavy-duty full-extension roll-out shelves were put into some bottom cabinets. One cabinet was modified to accomodate the roll-outs. New felt stops were applied to the cabinet doors. The job site was cleaned well.

In addition, he installed eight cabinet pull out shelves. Craig is meticulous, neat, professional and a skilled craftsman. Craig was responsive to all questions and comments and completed the project to my satisfaction. He also made some welcome suggestions.

Description of Work: The work was performed when Mr. Freise said it would be performed. He came out initially and showed us the possibilities and gave his opinion when asked as to what would look best. He worked quickly, was very professional, had all the tools that he needed. He refinished all of my kitchen cabinets, painted the wood where needed and cleaned up afterward.
