Description of Work: shower faucet started dripping last night...after showering this morning the drip became heavier, about a gallon every 30 minutes. Called Leonards because they had done previous plumbing work for us (about 7years ago) which we were quite satisfied with. Plumber arrived promptly, did not remove his work boots or put on protective sleeves. After investigating, and using my Allen wrenches to remove the fixture cover, he determined that the part in the wall needed to be replaced. He did remove the faucet and put a cap on the faucet rod to stop the drip. Said that the part would be about 40.00 and installation would be 400.00. But, didn't have the part in his truck and said he couldn't get it until tomorrow. We paid 200.00 ( wanted to use American express, which their website says they take, but service rep said they don't take it). Two hours later, we went to take a shower in another bathroom only to discover that there is no running water in that shower, and only hot water in the sink! I called Leonards immediately and was told I would receive a call back within 15 minutes. That was over an hour ago! We are not happy...may even stop payment on the check. I will update this report if appropriate action is taken by Leonards.

I would have to apologies for my tech not using shoe covers (we do have them) We do have multiple pairs service shoes that are always clean, and our plumber made the mistake of thinking they where clean enough. Hew should of used the shoe protectors, he has received additional training. As for the faucet it needed a new spout our plumber caped the line to stop the drip and charged the correct amount for the service and quoted the correct amount for a diverter spout. The customer elected not to have us come back. As for the water issue I can see no reason why he had no water, and I am sure we contacted him. His check cleared we closed out the invoice.

A bad experience was had by all.
Description of Work: This is a follow up to my previous report, when I contacted Len to come back and re do part of the job, and stop a leak that developed, he agreed to come back to re do the job, but would not correct the leak, which he said was not his problem. It turned out that he did not install the unit correctly.

WE INSTALLED A NEW DISPOSAL THE MEMBER SAID HE HAD A LEAK I COULD NOT FIND A LEAK AT THE TIME OF THE SECOND VISIT. HE REQUEST THAT I CHANGE OUT THE DISPOSAL. I EXPLAINED THE DISPOSAL IS A INSINKERATOR EVOLUTION AND HAD A FULL FACTORY SERVICE WARRANTY AND IF DEFECTIVE THEY WILL REPLACE FREE OF CHARGE AND HE HAD TO CALL ISE. ITS HARD TO FIX A PROBLEM THAT IS NOT HAPPENING WHEN YOU ARE ON SITE.

THE PLUMBER, BOB TIDWELL, HAD SOME TROUBLE FINDING OUR PLACE, BUT THE STREET IS NOT WELL MARKED ON MAPS. HE WAS FRIENDLY WHEN HE ARRIVED, QUICKLY FIXED THE LEAK AND OFFERED ADVICE ON REPAIRING THE DAMAGE THAT WAS CAUSED BELOW THE BATHROOM.
Description of Work: REPLACED LEAKING FEED LINE TO TOILET.

I CALLED LEONARD'S ON A MONDAY AND THEY SENT SCOTT OVER ON WEDNESDAY. VERY THOROUGH AND RESPONSIBLE. AFTER REPLACING LAUNDRY TUB FAUCETS, I NOTICED A HOLE IN THE TUB ITSELF....LEONARDS REPLACED THE TUB THE NEXT DAY AND TOOK FULL RESPONSIBILITY. I APPRECIATED THAT LEONARDS DOES NOT CHARGE BY THE HOUR BUT BY THE JOB! I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND LEONARDS.
Description of Work: WE HAD TWO OUTDOOR SPIGOTS REPLACED AND SHUT-OFF VALVES REPLACED FOR THESE SPIGOTS INSIDE (BASEMENT). NEW FAUCETS WERE PUT IN THE LAUNDRY TUB. SCOTT ALSO CHECKED OUT WHAT WE THOUGHT WAS A LEAK FROM AN UPSTAIRS BATHROOM (CUT A HOLE IN CEILING). TURNED OUT TO BE SETTLING!

HE WAS ON TIME AND WAS EFFICIENT. MAYBE I AM JUST NAIVE, BUT I DID NOT UNDERSTAND THAT THE INITIAL $65 WAS JUST FOR THE PERSON TO DRIVE TO THE CITY (AND, IN ADDITION, I PAID $15 FOR HIS PARKING). I THOUGHT THE $65. WAS FOR AN OPINION, AND IF MORE WORK HAD TO BE DONE, I WOULD PAY FOR THAT. I THINK $165 + $15 IS A LITTLE EXCESSIVE FOR SOMEONE TO TELL YOU THAT THE WATER IN A TRAP HAS EVAPORATED. I BELIEVE THE COMPANY SHOULD SPECIFY UP FRONT THAT $65 IS JUST TO GET TO YOUR RESIDENCE. AGAIN, MAYBE I'M NAIVE.
Description of Work: HAD A SMELL COMING FROM THE PLUMBING UNDER MY KITCHEN SINK. THE PLUMBER CAME TO MY HOUSE; I DESCRIBED THE CONDITION; HE PROCEEDED TO STICK A PAPER TOWEL IN THE OPEN PART OF THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM. HE THEN ASKED ME IF I WANTED A CONSULTATION WHICH WOULD COST APPROXIMATELY $165. HE INFORMED ME THAT THE $65. WHICH I HAD TO PAY FOR HIM TO COME TO THE CITY WOULD BE INCLUDED IN THAT $165. I AGREED. HE SAID THAT SINCE I DID NOT USE MY DISHWASHER FREQUENTLY, THE WATER IN THE TRAP WAS EVAPORATING AND SEWER GAS WAS ESCAPING. THAT WAS THE PROBLEM.

THE PLUMBING TECH WAS VERY GOOD, PERSONABLE, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HONEST ABOUT THE WORK BEING DONE AND HIS ASSESSMENT OF THE PROBLEM. I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK. HOWEVER, WHEN I OFFERED THE ANGIE'S LIST COUPON, HIS HOME OFFICE SAID THAT THE RATE ''ALREADY INCLUDED'' THE COUPON DISCOUNT. THAT SOUNDED A LITTLE STRANGE, BUT I DID NOT PURSUE IT.

PLUMBER WAS PUNCTUAL, SEEMED VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND CHECKED THE ENTIRE SYSTEM. I BELIEVE, GIVEN THE AMOUNT OF WORK DONE, THAT THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE END RESULT.

THE PLUMBER WAS ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL, TOOK ABOUT 45 MINUTES TO AN HOUR, AS HE HAD TO LEAVE THE PREMISES TO PURCHASE A NEW DOUBLE HANDLE SHOWER VALVE. THE PRICE WAS EXORBITANT FOR ME (I'M 71 AND HAVE A LIMITED INCOME) AND I FEEL HE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME, AS I'M HANDICAPPED AND KNOW NOTHING ABOUT PLUMBING. THE PRICE ACTUALLY WAS $725 BUT I HAD YOUR $25-OFF COUPON.

THIS COMPANY DOES BOTH. THERE WAS A PROBLEM IN COMMUNICATION, THEY HAD OUR PHONE NUMBER WRITTEN INCORRECTLY AND THAT LEAD TO A MISSED ESTIMATE APPOINTMENT. THE RESCHEDULED APPOINTMENT WAS KEPT, ON-TIME. THE ESTIMATE WAS FINALLY PROVIDED THROUGH A PHONE MESSAGE AFTER I SENT A SECOND REQUEST VIA EMAIL. THEY SAID THEY HAD TAKEN SO LONG BECAUSE THEY HAD NEVER CORRECTED OUR PHONE NUMBER IN THEIR SYSTEM. A PROMISED EMAIL QUOTE WAS NEVER RECEIVED. MY GUESS IS THAT THEY COULD PROVIDE A GOOD JOB, BUT THE OFFICE/COMMUNICATION SYSTEM WAS HAVING A ROUGH TIME.

BOB THE PLUMBER WAS CHEERFUL, PATIENT, AND EFFICIENT. HE TOOK CARE OF THE JOB, AS WELL AS REVIEWING THE AGE OF THE HOUSE, OUR PLUMBING CONFIGURATION, ETC. WE APPRECIATED THAT LEONARD'S WAS WILLING TO RESPOND TO A PARTY NOT CURRENTLY THEIR CUSTOMER ON A SATURDAY, WHEN FIVE OTHERS WOULD OR COULD NOT.
Description of Work: ON A SATURDAY MORNING WHEN RUNNING ONLY THE FAUCET, OUR BASEMENT SEWER STARTED BACKING UP. WE TRIED CALLING THE PLUMBER (FOUND FROM ANGIE'S LIST) WHICH WE HAD USED IN THE PAST. THEY, AND FOUR OTHER PLUMBERS WERE UNAVAILABLE. LEONARD'S TOOK OUR CALL, TOLD US AN ESTIMATE OF THE EXPECTED COSTS, AND SHOWED UP WITHIN TWO HOURS OF OUR PHONE CALL. AN EXPLANATION OF THE PROBLEM WAS PROVIDED, THE WORK WAS SUCCESSFULLY DONE, AND SUGGESTIONS TO PREVENT THE PROBLEM IN THE FUTURE WERE PROVIDED, AT VARIOUS COSTS.
