Description of Work: They put two new roofs on two of my homes. One was in 2016 and one was in 2019. I have not had any issues with either roof.

+ -1 moreDouglas Delk is the owner. He lied to me and submitted false documents to the village with a contract that was not accurate and forged my signature. The work was done improperly. I had been scanned. I think part of the problem was that he was too cheap and they did not plan on doing a good job. That's why they charged so little. Some days they came, some days they didn't. They did not tell me when they were coming. The job wasn't done and finished in a continuous manner. They left my roof exposed to snow so it was really scary. They did not operate in a professional, timely manner.

+ -1 moreI contacted Nyberg Exteriors to inform them of the roof leak as well as the information provided by the engineer and two other roofing companies. Two guys from Midwest came out this morning and looked at the roof. When I started to inform them of what was wrong with the roof - particularly with regards to the flashing around the chimney - I was literally yelled at by the lead workman and told that I was misinformed. I responded that regardless of whether or not I was misinformed, my roof still leaked. At that point the contact literally said "You don't need to be a f*cking dick." I responded that I was the customer and shouldn't be talked to that way. At that point he insulted me again with an expletive at which point I told him to get off my property. I'm going to pay the additional $1,500 for a more reputable roofer (recommended by many on Angie's List) to come and repair their inferior work. It's bad enough that they did a really bad job (pointed out by 3 different, unrelated, suppliers), when you ask them to repair the work, you get yelled at, have expletives hurled at you and insulted - not a professional organization to say the least!
Description of Work: This roofing service was subcontracted by Nyberg Exteriors to put a new roof on my house after a hail storm. I didn't realize at the time of signing the contract that they subcontracted the roofing job to Suburban Midwest. My house has nearly a flat roof and therfore required a non-traditional (no shingles)roof. The roof had a history of leaking around a chimney and there were stains on the bricks that indicated continued leaking. After the roof was installed, I watched the interior ceiling for about six months, waiting for the bricks to dry assuming that the roof leak was repaired. Unfortunately, about eight weeks ago, the interior ceiling started to leak even more vs. less. I determined the best course of action was to call an engineer to see if there was something structurally (or it needed tuckpointing) wrong with the chimney that was causing the leak. The independent engineer came out and inspected the roof, using a moisture measuring (infrared) camera that showed a lot of leakage. He also detailed that the flat roof had not been installed properly - particularlly the flashing around the chimney. I was fairly confident that what the engineer was relaying was accurate. Never the less, I also called two other roofers to come out and provide an opinion as to why the roof was leaking and if necessary what would the costs be to repair it. Both roofing companies basically said the same thing as the engineer - the roof was installed improperly and the flashing around the chimney in particular was seriously inadequated and improperly installed. I received approximately 5 bids for the work and Nyberg's bid was in the middle in terms of cost. I accepted their proposal because they matched some of the terms offered by other providers.
