 + 1 moreEXCELLENT experience in several ways. They were on time every day, cleaned up at the end of each day and performed the work in an organized fashion. Despite days in the upper 90's, we have already noticed a HUGE improvement in the temperature upstairs. I can't say enough about the INSULATED VINYL as there is now almost no difference between the first floor and second floor. There were 3 houses having new roofs and siding installed at the same time as ours and ours was the ONLY one done on time! Our neighbors have commented not just on the quality of the workmanship, but on the manner in which it was performed. WE COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED! Ron Staffa stopped by our house every day to make sure things were going as planned and satisfactorily answered any questions we had. We highly recommend both Ron and Nyberg!
Description of Work: Nyberg removed our old aluminum siding, installed a great moisture barrier and new Insulated Vinyl siding on our house. They also installed new soffits, facia and covered gutters. Nyberg also removed our old roof and installed a new roof with ridge venting. Best of all, they enlarged and covered our porch columns and created a decorative frame for our garage door, which they also covered in vinyl.

 + -1 moreOverall the company is good, and I especially liked the honesty that I got from Andy. He informed me how to spot sources of leaks and which could be repaired easily and cheaply. His crew did the major work, and saved me a lot of money on the smaller jobs. The only downfall was that it took awhile to get a hold of him at times.
Description of Work: Repaired a leaky roof by replacing the shakes and putting an ice and water shield.

 + -1 moreAndy was not responsive. The original work was to occur on a (sunny) Monday or Tuesday, and no one came. I still had heard nothing a few days later, so I called to see why the work had not been done. When another date was picked, the team was to arrive around 1 PM. They came at 4 PM, with no call to notify me they were running late. I prefer more courtesy in the service providers I work with.
Description of Work: Replaced wood shakes to the right of leaking skylight. Installed water and ice shield and new wood shakes. Sealed the glass gasket around the skylight.

 + 0 moreI was very pleased. He came out quickly and had the work completed in a prompt manner. We haven't had much rain since the repair, I'm assuming that this will fix the problem. He said that if the leak wasn't fixed, then they would keep coming back until it was.
Description of Work: I had a leak in my garage ceiling. Andy went up on my roof with a hose to help diagnose the problem. He found that the flashing had been damaged by someone chipping ice off of the roof. He replaced an area of my roof, and installed a gutter guard in one section of my gutter because while we were testing the roof leak, we found that the downspout was clogged.

 + -1 moreSalesman was nice enough to caulk my old skylight for free, until they could install the new skylight. When the installers installed, they shattered broken glass in the front hallway and did not block off the area although, I was assured that nothing would fall. The salesman offered to provide me with a small cleaning fee, to compensate for the inconvenience. The new skylight looks great and they were patient, because I couldn't check it right away.
Description of Work: Installed new skylight. Old skylight was very old and leaking.

 + 0 moreIt was a pleasure dealing with Stuart Nyberg. He sent a staff member back to repair a damaged piece on the garage, even though this was not part of the contract. I was concerned that some items in my garage would be damaged during the work, but the crew put tarp over the items and the area was in tiptop shape when the job was completed. I am sorry I did not use this company when I put a roof on my house a few years ago. Unfortunately I was not a member of Angie's list back then.
Description of Work: Replaced garage roof and put gutters on all sides.

Description of Work: I intially didn't call these guys b/c I wasn't sure they covered my area. I called another roofer and they recommended Nyberg to me. I worked directly with Andy Nyberg and they arrived on time to do an estimate and then fit me in within 2 weeks of giving me the estimate. Very competent and definitely more affordable than other quotes we received.

 + 1 moreTed Baldyga the salesman was great. He was on time & helpful with good suggestions. The workmanship was very good & the job was done quickly. Two complaints however- the crew did not sweep up during or after completing the job leaving nails, etc, all over my property * my neighbors sidewalk. They also filled my garbage can with old siding.

 + 1 moreTed Baldyga was our contact person. He performed a very through assessment with a written proposal. The workers arrived at 7am everyday and stayed until 6pm. They worked extremely hard, only taking a 30 min lunch break. The entire job was completed in 3 1/2 days. We are very happy with the quality of the work. Would definitely recommend them to family and friends.
Description of Work: Replaced aluminum siding with vinyl siding. Replaced aluminum soffits and fascia. Replaced gutters and downspouts. Added soffit vents and ridge vents.

 + -1 moreThe overall experience made me think I was dealing with two of the three stooges, perhaps Curly and Larry.
Description of Work: I called and left a message with Nyberg that I needed an estimate for siding and a side door for a garage. Owner Stuart Nyberg returned my call promptly and left me a message that they didn't build garages or install automatic garage doors. So, I called back and left a message that I wanted an estimate for siding and a side entrance door for a garage. Some guy from Nyberg but not Stuart called me back promptly once again and left a message but I could not make out his name or most of the message but he thought I was "Mr Esp" which is not close to my name and that he would be able to do an estimate on the windows around 5 p.m. SO, I called back and left Stuart a message that explained his employee's message to me and that he needed to get it together before he called me back and I that was four days ago so I assume they don't want my business and I surely don't want anything to do with theirs!

 + 0 moreEveryone was very professional and wonderful. All the details were taken care of from start to finish. The new roof looks amazing and the clean up was perfect. I haven't found a nail or piece of shingle laying in the yard yet. They started when they said they would and they worked non-stop till the job was complete. We would definately use them again. Stuart, the owner, returns all the phone calls himself. It is a tremendous help to be able to speak one on one with the owner for questions and comments. We always felt he had our best interest in mind.
Description of Work: Tore off roof of a 1891 Victorian house with 4+ layers, placed new plywood base, installed new shingle roof, all new gutters and fixed small piece of the garage.

 + 0 moreStuart was unfailingly polite, always showed up when he said he would, quoted a great price, stuck to it, and finished in a workmanlike manner. We paid our deposit in the fall but he could not fit us in before the bad weather set in (he warned us about this); he scheduled us first this spring and called before we ever thought of nagging him. His crew was hard-working and did a great job even though the weather was VERY COLD when they did the work. He thoughtfully warned us about asphalt bits falling in our attic and gave us a heads up about covering everything before the job -- VERY IMPORTANT since it did make a significant mess. He forgot to give us the Angie's List coupon discount but immediately apologized when we pointed this out after paying (we'd forgotten too). He sent us a refund check the next week. All in all, a great experience.
Description of Work: Tear-off of existing roof, replaced with architectural shingles, replacement of some of the decking, complete re-guttering.

I changed the scope of work (decided not to get roof of porch done as porch will be demoed soon)and Stewart was quick to follow up with paperwork. Actual work began as agreed upon with some delay due to rain. Cleanup was very good each day. Work was completed on time. Very professional job.
Description of Work: Tear off and replace steeply pitched shingle roof. Including install of 1/2 inch plywood over entire roof surface. 1500 sq. ft. two story home. 30 year shingles.

Description of Work: Andy Nyberg came out and diagnosed the cause of a leak (the builder of the house had not properly flashed one section where the roof and siding met), and corrected the problem. He also caulked another area to stop another small leak from getting bigger. He color-matched the caulk to our siding.

Very happy that he didn't try to sell me on a problem that didn't exist like some others did. Another company wanted to charge me over $200 for the same service! They are really great.
