Stuart called me back later in the same day I called and set up an appointment to come out later in the week. He asked how tall our house was and whether we had roof access as he does not go up on the roofs to give an estimate when it was 3 stories. I told him we had previously gotten up from our 3rd story bedroom porch but I wasn't sure. On the day he had set up, he called and asked if he could come earlier than the 2 hour window we had set up. He looked around the inside of the house, looked at the areas that leaked in the middle level and then went to top level to see if there was any leakage there (none visible). He then asked a couple of questions about when we had the leak, how often, etc. He then evaluated whether he could get to the roof and decided he couldn't get up with the ladders he had available. He then attempted to look at the roof from other angles which he couldn't do very well. He said it didn't sound like we had a roof problem since we had no leaks from that date and might have just been a one time issue because of the severity of the winter. I was still uncomfortable and asked if I could pay for an inspection. He said he could have someone do that later in the month but not right away and for the price, he would have them complete any minor repairs as well. He suggested that I might want to have the gutters checked and cleaned as it looked like they were leaking. He also gave me a reference to someone who could do this. After I had the gutter repair and cleaning company come out they indicated there was some minor damage to the roof which they could fix. I called Stuart to see if he had a problem with them doing that work after he had referred me to them for the gutter cleaning. He said that he was fine with that and since they had looked at the rest of the roof and said it looked good, he didn't think I needed the inspection.

They showed up when they said they would and finished in a very reasonable amount of time, especially considering the less than perfect weather.

I would definitely recommend them. They are very professional. One person came up with all the tools and finished the job. He was punctual and he cleaned up after himself. The price was reasonable.

Window installation was completed as promised in a high quality professional manner. Excellent communication and oversight. Installers were dedicated ,hard working, highly qualified ,and did professional work. Ron S over saw the entire project and quickly facilitated correcting a few minor issues. Repair commenced, and it was agreed upon that if leak were to return, Nyberg would return to see if additional work needed. If leak was coming from a different location, we agreed that more money would be required to address leak, charging time and materials. The Nyberg rep further stated that they really would not know if they were successful until winter and the house expands/contracts with the cold. In January, when we did find more leaking, called the company requesting they return to inspect and address as needed. It should be noted that we had first left numerous messages for the rep who originally assisted us, but with no reply. When I finally reached the principals, they said they would get right on it. They also said that the reason Ted (the Rep) had not returned our calls is that he had left the company. So I was shocked to get an email from their administrative assistant informing me that they no longer wish to help us at all, and will not visit our house to view the leak. Now I wonder: why would a company not even visit a customer to review the work done? What is even more surprising is that we will be replacing our roof and siding this summer and if they had treated us professionally the business would have been theirs. They have not responded to additional communications and I wonder whether they are in business at all. What's most disappointing is that I had hoped that they would be around to help with other needs but there are a lot of companies struggling in this economy so I guess it is not surprising.

They came, looked our house over and provided a printed estimate before they left. They also showed us materials so we could see what it looked like and choose colors. We compared their estimate to a few others and chose them. We agreed to their estimate, gave them a deposit, and they ordered the materials. A few weeks later, the material was ready and we scheduled the work. Before the work began, they delivered a large dumpster to our driveway. Then, the work started. Working in sections, they stripped off the two layers of old siding and put up house wrap. While they were doing this, the windows were also put in and the upper part of our roof was replaced. The lower part over the garage was replaced with rubber several years ago. Nyberg also recoated this section. Once the entire house was wrapped, they put on the new siding, soffits, trim, and gutters. We bought replacement exterior lights which they installed. We also bought replacement entry and storm doors, which they installed. The exterior lights and doors were not part of the original contract. A reasonable fee was added for the door replacements. The work was done mostly during December, from Thanksgiving through Christmas and New Years. Even with snow on the ground and the cold weather, they kept working. I wouldn't have worked in that weather. Overall, we are very pleased with the new look of our house and with Nyberg.

Very poor, I think. I contacted Stuart on a Saturday via email (as is asked on his website) requesting an estimate for the aforementioned work. He responded on Monday. Here is the exact email he sent: "Too high for us, Mike. Sorry!" Too high? Doesn't their job entail being in high places (gutter removal and replacement)? My home is a tri-level single family home. That is too high?? Or is it that they were too high to adequately assess the situation. I responded to his email inquiring what he meant by "too high." No response.

Nyberg patched a hole in our roof caused by a satellite dish that had been knocked loose. So far, so good on the repair. I liked that they performed the work quickly to avoid further damage (more rain was on its way) and didn't try and pressure us into putting on a whole new roof, even though we didn't close the door to the possibility. That said, they performed the work in 30 minutes and used some extra shingles I had left, so it was an easy job for them.

I called Nyberg Exteriors because I had a leak near a skylight that was progressively getting worse. Andy Nyberg called back within a day and scheduled a time to come out and take a look. He delivered the news that we needed a new roof...badly. We had been told when we bought our house that we'd probably need a new roof within 4-5 years, and Andy's visit was right on schedule. So I didn't hesitate when he told me we needed to replace our roof. Andy provided me with a quote when he was done with his inspection. We had done another roof on our old house in the city, and when Andy provided me with the estimate, I knew it was a very fair price. After reading all of the glowing reviews on Angie's List, and after having Andy come over to our home, I wasted very little time. I called him 45 minutes after he gave me the quote and I gave him the job. Andy was very easy to work with and extremely professional. He made a recommendation about the roof shingles and color, and we love how it all looks. He also checked in a few times as we got closer to our roofing date. He came out on March 23rd, and our new roof was done on April 2nd! When we got home that evening, we truly could not tell that anyone had even been there (except for the fact that we had a new roof on our house!). The work was completed quickly and we are thrilled with the result. I will definitely recommend Nyberg Exteriors for any type of exterior work (and I will happily hire them again if we have another need). As I told Andy, "I've never felt this good spending so much money on any housing project before". He was wonderful and we are very happy customers. Angie's List members can feel really good about doing business with this excellent company.

They came out to give me an estimate. They took some measurements to give me an accurate quote. The experience was fine. They told me that I needed a roof right away but the other company said I could wait for two years. The quote seemed reasonable.

I dealt with Andy Nyberg - they offered me a very competitive price from the beginning so no haggling was necessary, scheduled the work within a week, and showed up when they were supposed to and did the work quickly and cleaned up thoroughly after they were done. I have had some bad experiences with other contractors so it was great to work with a professional company that does what they say they will do and doesn't try to gouge you with the usual "what are you looking to spend?" type of pricing. Highly recommended.

I realized late last year that the shingles on our garage were in bad shape and needed to be replaced. I contacted Nyberg in December, 2008, which time it was very cold. Andy Kopka came out immediately and gave me an estimate. They were not cheap, but they did an excellent job. I was concerned that they would not be able to do the job, because the weather was becoming very bad, very cold with frequent snow. There were a couple of weather delays, but they did make it. The day that they came, the high was 16 degrees and there was 12 inches of snow on the ground. They still did top notch work and did an excellent job of clean up, especially considering the conditions. Andy Kopka came back and checked everything before the work crew left. I wanted to wait to submit this report until this spring, so that I could see what it looked like, after it warmed up. It looks great.

I contacted Nyberg by email asking for an estimate to replace the skylights. I was sent a response that Andy would be contacting me to set up a time to come out, which ended up being early the next week. After discussing the options, he immediately wrote up the proposal. The next day we talked and I added two solar powered shades to the order, which was no problem. As soon as the skylights were in, Andy and Mark came out and started the job. They were prompt, professional and neat. The entire job was completed in two days (long days for them) and we couldn't be happier with the work. It was a pleasure having them do this job.

Arrived on time for his appointment. Encountered a weather related delay, but contated me to explain the delay. Did the job, cleaned up and left. No muss, no fuss. Very professional.

Nyberg was very professional to deal with and they definitely met our expectations. Having called them in late fall, we weren't even sure they could do the skylight repairs before the snow and ice made it too difficult. Nyberg promptly quoted the job and was able to fit in the repairs before winter began.

They looked over the whole roof. They filled in the areas where there was nail holes. They didnt try to rip me off. They found a problem and fixed it without me needing to get a new roof. They did a wonderful job. They were very smart and kind. They didnt charge. I will use them if I need a new roof.

We were very satisified with their work. They were punctual, they did what they said they would do. There were a lot of details we wanted done and he did all of them.

My experience with them was good. They seemed to know what they were doing and gave me a good estimate on how the work was going to be done.

I called Andy Nyberg to do an estimate on some roof repair work since I had discovered that the leaks through the sliding glass door were due to a gap between the roof shingles and gutter on our flat roof in the back of the house. My general contractor verified that there were cracks in the tar roofing membrane that feed into the gutters as well as some other visible cracks. His estimate was higher than I expected, so I called Andy Nyberg to get a second opinion. Andy (not Nyberg) and Art showed up (about 20 minutes late - no biggie) and verified the problem with photos. They recommended simple caulking and patch (even despite my telling them that my general contractor recommended replacing the membrane) and completed the work right then and there without requesting any payment (I tipped them anyway). They said if there were still leaks to give them a call. All I can say is wow!

The company is responsive and Stuart came right on time to do the estimate. After carefully looking at our roof, he politely told us that he wanted the business but this type of old roof with details(eyebrow dormers/ vents)are not area of his specialties. He recommended us to find a roofer who is experienced in roof details restoration as well as roofing. He even gave us some names for reference. We truly appreciate his honesty and professionalism. Stuart has proven that he is a trustworthy contractor which we shall constantly praise to our circle of friends.

We couldn't be more pleased with the service provided by Nyberg Exteriors! They patiently explained the different options we had available to us & helped us come up with a plan that would achieve our goals. They thoroughly explained pricing options, color options, advantages & cost considerations of various upgrades & extras. They were honest & straightforward. They helped us navigate through the detailed process of dealing with our insurance & mortgage companies & they kept the whole project moving along. We had only one "mishap", if you will, & that was that some of our screens were torn as the result of the old shingles being removed from the roof. We have talked to a number of homeowners who clearly had a much different experience than ours with delays & frustrations. We never once had this happen. New roofing & siding is a HUGE project & can leave a homeowner feeling vulnerable as they decide to whom they entrust their home. A poorly-done job would have enormous financial implications. Nyberg Exteriors was referred to us by personal friends who had work done a few years ago. While we did talk to a couple of other companies, having a referral for a project of this magnitude was extremely important to us. Our home turned out more beautifully than I would have ever thought possible! It's like having a new home. I would strongly recommend Nyberg to anyone. We will continue to spread the word whenever we have the opportunity.

Everything was wonderful. The cleanup was good. They were on time, actually they were a little early. He gave me a new price. The cleanup was so good I wouldn't have even guessed they had just replaced the roof.
