Contacted Andy back in July to get quotes and information on a new roof. Andy was within $300.00 of other roofing companies from Angie's List. They all seemed as qualified and professional as Andy. I chose Nyberg for 2 reasons: 1) They were the overall lowest price. 2) Andy was the only one of the 3 that said getting a ridge vent in the roof, although was a good option, was not totally necessary for my roof. It would have involved investing more money to have it done properly on my end. Andy proposed adding more vents to the roof--it was already short of today's standard, and this would improve even more on the ventilation. Andy even said he would vent my bathrooms properly out of the roof--they were just venting straight into the attic before. Once I had all 3 proposals and chose Nyberg I contacted Andy. He was able to set up installation within 2 weeks. Once the day was here Andy handled the permit and fees (which were included in his proposal). The project took 2 days. At the end of the of the 1st day his crew did a total clean up of debris and nails. They also removed the trailer at the end of the 1st day where they kept the garbage. On the last day of work, the whole yard was as clean as the 1st day with no debris anywhere and no damage to the landscaping or gutters.

Nyberg took care of the permit, delivery of the new shingles, and worked around the weather so the roof was repaired before more damage occured. Andy's guys showed up as scheduled, 1 team worked on the tear off of the old shingles and putting in the new shingles while another guy took out the old skylight and installed the new skylight. They were both very professional, cleaned up everything and my skylight and roof are no longer dripping so I am a happy camper. I got several estimates and Andy's price was in the lower portionof the range (not the lowest and I would never go with the lowest as they have to cut somewhere to be the cheapest) but his price was competitive, teh company's reviews are excellent, he is knowledgable and understood the urgency to get this done. I would definitely use Nyberg again and recommedn them to anyone who needs a roof repaired or replaved.

Arrived on time and were completely professional. Completed everything promised and left not even one little piece of debis from the work! The roof is amazing! Have had two rain storms since the roof was installed and have had NO problems at all! We are extremely happy with both Nyberg Exteriors and the roof and would not hesitate to use them again! Will recommend them without hesitation!!!

The only trouble is Andy is so busy, I guess, thus the best way for small repair is to write him an email rather than calling office.

Called Andy for a quote on removing our existing skylight and replacing with a Velux Sun Tunnel. He was responsive and his price was good based on other quotes I had received. Mark did the work and also made several other miscellaneous roofing repairs(replaced vent stack, removed unused sat. dish). He did a very good job and cleaned up well. I will definitely call Nyberg for any future roofing work.

The flat roof was done very well. No issues at all. We thought we needed to replace all the parapet walls. But once they started, it was determined the wall could be saved and just some bricks needed to be replaced. When it came to the front porch, there was an issue with the job that was done on the flashing. The caulking was not done well. Stuart agreed that it was not done very well. He had it redone by replacing the flashing. Once that was done, all was well.

My house is an old lake house that has been added onto several times. This makes for several roof joins that are prone to leaking after a number of years. For the second time this year, and after a summer of almost no rain, on the first rain in a month one of my problem areas started leaking. Having had excellent service from Nyberg in the past for two other areas, I called them again. Andy came out Monday morning as promised and within the week we were able to schedule a day to get the repair done.The repair was started on time and finished same day. The trouble spot was completely reshingled with a weather barrier placed underneath. New flashing where needed was put in and the gutters were even blown out. Afterwards, the debris was cleaned up and removed.As usual, I was very happy with the repair...and it was tested by a driving rain a few days later and no leaking! I definitely will continue to use them for my roofing work.

From start to finish, Andy Nyberg was very professional in coordinating a replacement roof for a small single family ranch style house. His price was very fair and the quality of the materials, the overall installation and site cleanup were excellent in every detail. His crew was incredibly efficient as the work was completed in its entirety in one day. I strongly recommend him and will definitely consider his services for future home improvement projects.

As part of a complication associated with our home purchase, we were required to put new shingles on a 40 year-old two-story house or risk a lapse of insurance coverage. As a result, we needed to get a quote prior to the closing and promise that a new roof would be placed on the house within 60 days. I had seen Andy Nyberg before in Angie's List when I was re-roofing my other house, but I went with someone else based on a slightly cheaper price. Although the roof got installed, there wasn't the quality and confidence that I was looking for. This was a mistake that I elected not to make again. My discussions with Andy were simply short, straight to the point and very pleasant. Obviously I am no roofing expert, but I had done some research if only to be conversant on the topic. All of the answers and feedback that Andy provided were consistent with what I learned and were congruent with common sense. He pointed out the options, answered my questions, and provided a prompt quote. After we scheduled the job, he made the necessary arrangements to secure the building permit. Before the job started, I had every confidence that he and his team knew what they were doing. On the job, the existing hip-style roof had two layers of shingles (20 years each) that had to be stripped and a new attic fan installed. There were some changes from the previous roof as we elected to go with ridge venting. They also installed the hardware for two future bathroom vents, and checked the sheathing after the shingles were stripped to make sure all was well. There appeared to be no complications as his team made very short work of the task: They started early Monday morning before the searing heat struck and was finished before noon. The place was cleaned up: No paper, no strewn shingle bits and pieces, and most importantly, no nails. The team was courteous. What else can I say? This was a slam-dunk for me. I asked for something and I got it with a smile and a price I was happy with. I hope your install goes as good as mine did.

They did a great job! Very helpful and patient during the process of picking roof and siding colors. Job was done quickly and as described wthout any surprises. They were very professional and we are so happy with the result!

They torn off the OLD rood - it was over 50 years old and in bad shape and the house gutter, which was litterally swinging from the roof and about to fall apart. They replaced brick and tuckpointed most of the North wall and some of the South Wall. Installed everything new and added 2 vents.This was the most professional and pleasant firm I have used in a long while. They were very competant, gave me the best price right away - no haggling (but I did let him know I had a few other quotes) and the team of workman were excellent. My father-in-law needs a new roof next year and they will most likely get the job. I highly recommend them.

Andy from Nyberg Exteriors came out and gave me a prompt estimate. This estimate was a few hundred dollars higher than some of the others and about $900.00 dollars lower than the highest estimate. So his price was somewhere in the high middle range. When I meet someone and talk to them I either get a comfortable feeling in regards to their level of expertise, or I keep looking. Andy seemed to be a cordial and knowledgeable enough roofer and he explained in detail exactly what his crew would do, and exactly what the cost would be to complete the repairs. Andy thought they would knock it out the first week in July, and we were surprised to find that he was able to swing his crew over last Monday when we were out of town and perform the tear-off and complete the job in one day. They really did a great job and we were pleasantly surprised that it was done in such a speedy time frame. We are looking forward to our first heavy rain to see how this product performs. I'm sure the roofing job they did is solid, and if there is an issue in the near future with any of the work they performed, they will address it promptly. Nygerg Exteriors really did a nice job and I would highly recommend them.

Unfortunately, our less-than-14-year-old roof had begun to fail due to defective shingles; while the company who had originally installed the roof was willing to give us a "preferential" estimate for replacement of the bad roof, they claimed they had no responsibility or liability for the defective shingles as the shingle manufacturer (Globe) had filed for bankruptcy in 2001 and all warranties (ours was supposed to be a 25-year manufacturer's warranty for the shingles themselves) were nullified by the company's demise. We had this previous company provide us with an estimate but weren't enthused by the prospect of working with them again, so we also had Nyberg provide us with an estimate. Andy came out to the house and surveyed the work to be done and provided us with a detailed proposal on the spot. Not only did he think that a tear-off was appropriate given the condition of the existing shingles, but they included other things as requested in the bid, such as upgrading to architectural shingles, reroofing the freestanding garage as well as the house roof, and replacing a bent gutter on the garage. Approximately 5 days before the work began, Andy contacted me by phone to let me know that they'd be on site soon and to confirm our shingle color choice, then the day before work was to commence the shingles were delivered and placed neatly on a pallet on our sidewalk so as to avoid damaging the lawn. Andy emailed me to let me know to expect a crew the next morning between 7 and 8 a.m., and five workmen arrived right on time, at 7:30 a.m. the next morning. They set up boards and tarps to protect our windows and doors and promptly got to work. The entire process was completed before 5 p.m. that same day, with the exception of replacing the garage gutter! Workmen returned the following business day to finish that. The crew cleaned up after their work beautifully . . . not a roofing nail or shingle to be found out of place! After our less-ideal experience with our previous roofer, this experience with Nyberg restored our faith! We will very readily recommend them to friends and neighbors, as well as calling them for any additional exterior repairs or replacements we have in the coming years.

We had an excellent experience with Nyberg Enterprises. Andy gave us several choices of shingles - color and style - and even tacked up a four foot square of the shingles we chose to be sure we would be happy with our choice. He was concerned about the plantings around our house and said he would take special precautions to protect the shrubs and plants. His crew did exactly that and even protected my tomato plants at the back of our house.He coordinated his work schedule with the tuck pointers who were repairing our chimney. His crew arrived when he said they would and worked diligently all day - twelve hours - until they finished the job. Andy called that evening to be sure every thing met our approval. Obviously it did. We could not have had a better experience with a contractor and will be pleased to recommend Nyberg to anyone in need of a professional, reasonably priced, easy to work with tradesman.

They arrived by 7:30 in the moring, and positioned their trailer below the garage roof edge. Old shingles were moved from the second story roof to the garage roof then into the trailer. It was a windy day and they did their best to contain the plastic wrappings from the shingle bundles and tar paper. The new architectural, 130 mph warranted shingle look great. Clean up after the job was complete was very thorough. They had tarps on the yard, patio, deck and driveway all the way around the house.

I have had Nyberg out multiple times for multiple properties. He presents me with accurate estimates quickly and then when I have hired him performs the roofing in the same professional manner.

Andy's evaluation of the problem and his explanation of what was needed for a long term solution were thorough and clear. Although his quote was higher, I decided to go with him because his proposed repairs made more sense to me. The work was performed very well, with more attention to detail than I had expected.

We thought we had a major fascia/gutter/possibly-roof problem. A couple companies came out, stared, and couldn't figure out the problem. One company wanted to charge us $250 to further diagnose the issue. Nyberg came out, figured our the problem (badly-placed, under-sized downspouts), gave us a fair estimate (which we accepted), and completed the work quickly and efficiently. Since then, we've had a significant storm, and saw that everything worked properly. Loved Nyberg, and will definitely use again.

Andy seemed to be a pleasant person to work with, but after agreeing upon a bid we asked that he provide a letter to our insurance company explaining why we should receive a larger adjustment. Even the insurance company was helping/telling us how to have another review for a better adjustment. I put a lot of time into trying to help Andy work with the adjuster; I spent time calling references and following up and ultimately Andy left me an e-mail advising they would take a pass on the job. I did not receive an answer why . . just a short e-mail saying he would take a pass. To me it seemed like he was bailing out of the work because he was being asked to do something he did not want to do or was not familiar with and rather than explain, he just dumped our job. I do expect people to work for their fee and do not feel I was asking for something unreasonable based on the answers I was getting form the insurance company.

Overall I am very happy with the finished product. While I would have preferred the original quoted price I understand that the state of the decking was not known at the time of the quote. I would recommend them if asked and would use them again.

I had an excellent experience with Andy and ultimately Mark who came out to do the work. Andy was quick to respond to my call and to turn around an estimate. Mark was punctual and thorough in his inspection of the roof, finding an area that had bad drainage and had started rotting through (which I was unaware of.) They got everything fixed on time and under the estimate along with the additional work they had found. I'm really impressed with these guys, the previous contractor I had contacted to do the work still hadn't shown up after three weeks. Nyberg was punctual, responsive, proactive and ultimately a great value. Thanks Andy!

Andy emailed me a detailed estimate of the work to be done and the cost. I emailed back my acceptance and Mark arrived a couple of days later to do the work. He thoroughly inspected the roof, replaced shingles, caulked the chimney and fastened the flashings. When the job was completed he made sure there was no depris left around. Andy then emailed me the bill which was at the $275 quoted. Andy and Mark were very professional and thorough. I especially liked the use of email for the estimate and billing. The estimate was detailed, so there were no surprises. The entire experience was very positive.

I called Nyberg Exteriors after reading reports on Angie's List and he responded by the end of the day. He came out the next day and took a look at the roof - told us we did not need a new roof (another roofer had told us we needed a new roof without even looking at the roof) and told us he would give us two prices - one for repairing just the top ridge which had been pulled up by birds and one for completely renailing all hips and ridges. He told us this repair would guarantee us another 10-15 years out of this roof and he guarantees his workmanship for 10 years. We decided to go with the more expensive option so we would not have to worry for a while. Andy scheduled the job in a timely manner and his crew arrived within a few weeks (we had several rain delays) Mark did a fantastic job - he went over and above to close up the openings that were allowing the birds to get under the ridges and left the yard totally clean every day. When I met Andy, I had such a good feeling about his company that I did not even wait for the other bids to come in and I am not sorry I went with Nyberg Exteriors. I would recommend them to anyone and I will use them again if I need any exterior work done.

I called Nyberg Enterprises and they responded within 24 hours and were out to see us the next day. After inspecting the roof, Andy thought we should hold off on any repairs or replacement. Our roof still had several years left before we needed to replace or repair it.

They were doing a lot of roofs with the hail damage. I called and 2 young men came. Andy and someone else. I told them what Safeco said and told them that I had NO additional money to pay for anything extra and to make sure that their bid came in near what Safeco was going to pay me. I gave them a copy of the adjusters DETAILED list of what was covered. I told them if they had any questions they should call the agent. They agreed and went off, measured and came back with the bid. I asked them AGAIN if it was in line with the bid from Safeco. Andy said something about how isurance companies usually work and I said that I wanted to be clear that I did not have any additional money to add.( I did agree pay additional for a new gutter on the garage and upgrade of shingle on the garage.) I got the next final check from Safeco. I received my final bill from Nyberg and was confused. In total it was way more than what Safeco was willing to pay. I still had to pay for screens to be replaced and having the house being touched up. They would not honor their commitment. I reiterated that I had given them the adjuster's detailed list of what was covered. They did make an adjustment but I still had to take out a loan to pay for the balance. I had given their name to my neighbor who also had a problem. I really thought they wee a great company. So I think Mr Nyberg needs to take his company back before these two young men run it into the ground. I feel really bad about having to write this report. My first experience with them was so great and this was a real mess. I am sorry the quality of service has deteriorated so much.
