+ -1 moreThey do a reasonable job. They are supposed to do weeding once a month, but that is not done thoroughly. However for $35 per visit , probably to be expected. The problem is that they missed a weekly visit on too many occasions. My grass was so long it went to seed. I was embarrassed about my own lawn. Can’t have that so I am changing provider. If they do other homes in your immediate vicinity, you’d probably be okay. Otherwise do not recommend.

Description of Work: They maintain our underground sprinkler system. They do a nice job of following through with the annual start up and shut down process each year. And I recently managed to cut through the underground line recently and they were quick and efficient in respond to my call.

Description of Work: Weekly; cut grass, edge grass along sidewalks, drive way, patio. Trim around all plantings and clean up all debris each week. Once per season; trim all evergreens and bushes. Crew will remove dead bushes where required. Additional service, treatment for dandelions when needed. Cost $50.00 per treatment. Gambino subcontracts this work to Weed Man and the service is great.

Description of Work: We had Gambino do several things to our yard last year such as planting a tree, leveling an yard area to make it even, and put in a brand new patio. I went with Gambino because they had the cheapest estimate. I had to take the initiative to call them many times in order to have them come out to our house and start their work (after I paid 50% of the costs upfront). For leveling our yard for example, I told them weeks ahead of time that I needed it done by a certain day since a swing set was being installed. They waited until the last minute (day before) in order to complete the job after I called several times. They always gave the excuse that the "weather" and raining was delaying them all the time. The tree they planted in our front yard seemed small for the amount we paid. Also, for the patio, it would have been helpful if they had some sample bricks on hand that we could look at the colors, textures. I just looked at a book and they told me to go out to a store myself and decide. In the end, when they put in the patio I ended up not liking the color I choose because I was basically deciding by a picture and looking at stones at a nearby store that I could no hold up to our house.

+ -1 moreWe had used Mario Gambino and Sons for a number of years but we decided to do our own work over the past 2 and half years. That was not successful. Our yard became a disaster area. We contacted Gail at Gambino's to let her know what we needed and she took care of the rest. Gambino provided a great Spring clean up. The yard looked better than it had in years. They weeded two large flower beds, trimmed all the shrubs and did a perfect clean up in our front, side and back yards. One of the crew members asked me which shrubs I wanted trimmed and how short before he did the work. They pay attention to detail and the customer is important to them. We are a corner property so Gambino does the parkway as well. Hats Off to Gambino and Sons we are very satisfied with their service. The subcontractor, Weed Man, did an excellent job, no more dandelions. We signed up for 3 applications, 2 of which have been completed.
Description of Work: Gambino and Sons did our Spring clean up, provided us with a subcontractor, "Weed Man" to take care of weed and dandelion problem, Gambino does not handle chemicals and provides a weekly mow and trim service.

Description of Work: I had Gambino install a sprinkler system at my house. They were the lowest estimate so I approved. They showed up on time, but that was the best part. They tore apart my underground downspout drainage with the hose burrial machine after I told them exactly where the downspouts were located. Did not program the system properly. Want to come twice a year for $90 to turn on and off. Have ruined a pipe by overtightening and wanted payment. Horrible company to deal with. Will never use for anything again.

+ -1 moreWORK WAS COMPLETED ONLY AFTER NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS TO THE COMPANY. THEY DID NOT CALL BEFORE THEY CAME. THEY DID NOT CALL BEFORE THEY BEGAN TO DIG, AND THEN ENDED UP CUTTING MY NEIGHBORS CABLE SERVICE. THEY DID NOT LET US KNOW THAT THEY DID THIS AND DID NOT CALL THE CABLE COMPANY TO REPORT THE PROBLEM.
Description of Work: ASKED THEM TO INSTALL NEW DRAIN TILE ON THE LOT'S UTILITY EASEMENT.

+ -1 moreTHREE MONTHS AFTER INSTALLATION, THE DRIVEWAY BEGAN TO PIT. CALLS TO THE COMPANY WERE MET BY A SURLY WOMAN WHO STATED MARIO WOULD CALL BACK - HE NEVER DID. EVENTUALLY, WE BROUGHT PICTURES OF THE PITTED AREAS TO THEM. THEIR FINAL RESPONSE WAS THAT THEY COULDN'T GUARANTEE THE MIX AND THEY WOULD OFFER NO GUARANTEES ON THEIR WORK. THEREFORE, THEY WOULD NOT COME TO LOOK AT THE DRIVEWAY OR OFFER SOLUTIONS. AS HAPPY AS I WAS WITH THE INITIAL WORK, I WOULD NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. I'M NOW STUCK WITH A YEAR OLD DRIVEWAY WITH OVER 20 PITS UP TO A QUARTER IN SIZE AND A COMPANY WHO DOESN'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION ONCE THE CONCRETE IS POURED.

+ -1 moreIT TOOK MORE THAN TWO MONTHS AFTER GIVING DEPOSIT ($3K!) TO GET THEM IN TO DO THE WORK - HAD TO SAY I WAS COMING INTO PICK UP MY $$ TO GET THEM HERE. THE WORKERS WERE OUTSTANDING - FAST, CLEAN, FRIENDLY - AND THE JOB WAS DONE IN LESS THAN 2 DAYS. THE FINAL PRODUCT IS FABULOUS, IT WAS JUST GETTING THEM HERE!!
