Very professional at the best price quoted. They even handled the rebates for us. They deducted the rebates from the bill and we had them sent directly to them.

I'm not sure on the charge. We have an annual agreement thing. I'm not sure.

They come out twice a year. They came out for the air conditioner and the heater. It's annual service call. It's maintenance. They do it annually. When we first bought our system from them, I put a review on Angie's list but I do not do it every time they come out for maintenance. it's just one person to come and complete the work. The worker is there no more than an hour. They are clean. They installed the system, so they know it, so I have them come back and service it.

Installation was completed in a professional manner. Installer (Issac) did a great job keeping me informed as he went through the installation process. Everything was clean when he arrived and clean when he left. The sales process was a great experience. Bill and the Five Star Team were easy to work with during the process. They understood both my short and long term objectives for the replacement of the AC. Bill provided a number of options which helped me make my decision. The installers were fantastic. They took precautions to protect our floors and carpeting. Showed up when they said they wood, finished the installation on time, then cleaned and hauled away the old equipment as if they were never here. Their attention to detail was unbelievable. Every wire, drain and exhaust line were organized neatly and installed in such a way not interfering with any other existing equipment. They were highly trained professionals!

They're not cheap but they're excellent. They did additional work from what we contracted them on without charging us. It was somewhat substantial and time consuming, so they really went above and beyond.

I could not be happier. I was offered several choices for installation dates, and we picked one that was just about a week out. Bill from Five Star confirmed the install date / time, and the installers arrived exactly on time. The installers (Dave and Adam) were very professional and really did outstanding work. The install was neat, organized and went without a hitch. They used runners on the stairs so as not do track dirt in the house, and dutifully handled all the exterior work during the pouring rain without a single complaint. One of the things Five Star offered was a whole-house humidifier. As it turns out, I installed one a few years prior and it seemed in good service so I declined to have it replaced. When I did the install, I did a hack job employing extension cords and using the kit's water saddle valve to "tap" into an existing line. I never liked piercing into existing water lines because it seems like a good opportunity for a leak in the future. Dave and Adam, without asking or additional charge, installed a dedicated proper water valve and new electrical box hookup (see photos). I couldn't be happier with how much improved the humidifier install is now. This is a prime example of how Five Star goes above and beyond the norm. Previously, I'd have to climb a small ladder to set the humidifier setting, but not anymore as Dave wired it right into my Nest thermostat so it can be controlled from my thermostat or even a smartphone. Again, never had to ask they just went out of their way to make sure I was a satisfied customer. My experience with Five Star is that they are knowledgeable, professional and very price competitive. They have earned my future business, and I can honestly give them my strongest recommendation.

The entire 5-Star team were incredibly knowledgeable - from the sales manager (Bill) to the installation team (Dave & Ryan), to the inspector (Dave), everyone knew the system backwards and forwards. The sales manager sold us the exact unit we needed, not more or less than what was needed. He helped us maximize discounts & tax credits available. He was also a pleasure to talk to. The installation team was amazing - they explained everything & made sure we knew how to program & care for the system. The basement was cleaner after they were done than when they started, and they came back. (Consumer gave further comments on the back of the review form, which were not visible to this transcriber)

When my 31 year old Air Conditioner compressor died, I was referred to 5 Starr to obtain a proposal to replace the unit. I called to make an appointment and was answered immediately by a very nice person who took down my information and referred it to Bill to arrange a time to come out. Bill called me within a few minutes and arranged to come at 11:30 the next morning. He arrived exactly on time. Bill proceeded to inspect my current furnace and AC unit and then measured the house to determine the appropriate square footage to propose a system that would most effectively fit the house. After inspecting and measuring and comparing to my existing systems, he informed me that the existing was over sized for the house and that we could go with a 2.5 ton rather than the 3.5 which was installed. (I actually compared the measurements he made with standard tonnage per square foot and he was correct!). He was very accommodating to all my questions and requests. We spoke about just replacing the AC and he gave me a price for that alone, but then since my furnace was 27 years old and the blower was making noise, I asked him to provide me a quote for replacing both my furnace and AC with new like models. My existing furnace was a single stage unit and the AC was a 3.5 ton coil and compressor, whose lines ran circuitously around my basement from the coil to reach the compressor outside. In addition the shut off was run the same way and was not close to the location of the compressor. He recommended a 2.5 ton AC unit and a 85% efficient furnace. He provided me separate quotes for a single stage furnace as well as 2 stage and 2 stage variable system. He volunteered to provide me all of the comparisons as well as the product part numbers so I could check them out myself, which I did. He gave me comparisons between Trane and Goodman products and suggested that because I didn't know how long I would remain in my house and sine it was installed in the basement that the Goodman would fit my budget and do a great job. I received the formal quotes and comparisons with an hour of his departure. The other requirement was that the systems be installed the next day as we had been without AC for 2 days already. He said that as long as I gave him a verbal approval before 5pm that Thursday that he could have it installed the next day which was a Friday. After comparing his proposal to another I had received earlier from a competitor, I chose 5 Star. They were cheaper and I really liked his way of talking to me about what was best not what he could include as accessories like the other vendor. I decided upon the 2 stage variable 2.5 ton system. I completed some forms on line for Zero percent financing for 12 months and he went to order the parts we had agreed upon. Bill called back shortly afterward and told me that the Goodman systems were not available in stock but received approval to replace the Goodman with Amana systems which upon my research I found to better units and more highly rated! I agreed. He also completed all the paperwork for me to receive the discount from Com Ed and to have that applied to the reduce the cost.. Installation was scheduled for 8 am Friday morning. 8 am the next morning, Isaac, the installer was knocking on my door, right on time. Isaac, first took the time to place drop clothes across my floor and carpet and stairs and then inspected the existing furnace and external AC unit to evaluate what would have to be done. I can?t say enough about Isaac. He was articulate, thorough, meticulous and informative. He knew what to do and got right to work disconnecting the old furnace and removing the equipment to make room for the new system which is significantly smaller than my old furnace. After a few hours another installer arrived to assist him as the original assistant was out sick and they were doing their best to accommodate my installation on such late notice. Bill, (different from the estimator Bill) got right to work as well! It was a very tedious and time consuming job to remove the old furnace, AC lines and electric shut off and to install the new equipment. They removed the old compressor unit, the bedding and replaced it with new gravel and a new platform which was higher than the existing raising the unit higher off the ground. They finally finished installing the furnace and new AC around 9 pm that evening. The furnace was turned on and tested as was the AC. There were a few things remaining to be done outside and in the basement, sealing the old holes from the AC line and power etc.. Because it was late and too dark to see outside we agreed that Isaac would return the next afternoon to patch the holes inside and out, install the new thermostat etc.. The new AC worked great and really removed the humidity and reduced the temperature in the house which is a split level, basement, lower level, first and second floor about 1800 square feet. I did notice that blower which was whisper quiet might have been running a little too low and I mentioned that to Isaac when he returned the next afternoon as promised. He adjusted the speed up on the blower and it was much better and more like our old system! Isaac also installed the 2 stage set back thermostat designed to work with my new 2 stage furnace. Patched the holes, even artistically put grooves in the cement outside to match the grout in my brick! Isaac and Bill did a fantastic job! I am very pleased with the work performed, they cleaned up everything, and the new duct work Isaac installed on the new furnace was night and day different from the old system!! Really looks good if you can say that about a furnace! My wife and I were very impressed by the work performed and the professionalism by everyone at 5 Star! The installer came on time and two other installers joined him as the day progressed. They stayed over time to make sure everything installed in 1 day. They did a very thorough walk around and answered my questions even though it's already 7 pm.

They did a really nice job. They came right away, did the service quickly, and were very professional.

Bill at Five Star was very quick to come to the house & inspect our old furnace. He got back to us the same day with repair & new installation quotes. We opted to replace with a new unit. Five Star came out the next day to install. They were very knowledgeable & courteous. Cleaned up and hauled away old unit. We have used them for years & will continue to do so.

I had several estimates, all with companies using different product lines. Bill took the time to explain why 5 Star prefers Trane products, and never said anything negative about other brands. The sales process was very easy and I felt that Bill worked hard to earn my business. Installation was scheduled for the same week and the Installer arrived on time. The installer was excellent! He was very efficient and I felt took the time to be meticulous in his work while in my home. The AC unit was not installed due to the snow, but they will be back in Spring to install that unit. I am very happy with my new Trane products, sales process was positive and not pressured, and the installation was a breeze. I have referred 5 Star to another family member, and have nothing but good experiences to speak about.

They are wonderful! I have been using them for years! They just installed a brand new, high efficiency furnace and a/c with no extra cost included a new humidifier.

I had five different companies come out to give us quotes. Five Star was the last company I called and it was only because I wanted to get a quote from another HVAC company that installed Trane. My wife and I are so lucky we found Five Star Heating & Air. They were by far the most professional during the quote process and were also the best priced. Every other company had quoted us much more for a high efficient system and the price we paid with Five Star for the high efficient system was almost the same price as the base model systems with the other companies. During the quote process Bill was fantastic to work with and very patient with all of our questions. Bill brought a laptop and his own printer and was able to print out very professional and straight forward quotes. Each of the other companies we had come out scribbled down their quotes on proposal sheets that are hard to read and make you feel like your at a car dealership. Bill was also great in helping expedite the installation date since we had been without A/C for a couple week. The installation went flawlessly. The guys were at our house before 8am and started working immediately. My wife and I went to work and when I came home around 4pm they were just getting finished. They showed us and explained the new system, helped set up the thermostat and answered all of our questions. We have now had the new system almost two months and it has been great! We have already recommended Five Star Heating & Air to multiple family members.

Bill came out and spent a lot of time going over our HVAC system, gave us a great quote and worked hard to get our business. We decided to go with another vendor because we wanted to use the same contractor for our existing heating unit but easily could have used Five Star.

Provider contacted me the day before verifying the time they would be there the next day. They arrived on time and went straight to work. They answered all my questions, customized things to my liking, and cleaned up after themselves. Despite it being a long day, they never acted tired or annoyed. Everything works as promised.
