Overall, the work was beautifully done and I would use their services again. This is actually the second time we have had them do landscaping. Our yard looks much cleaner and I attribute that to the work that they did. Thank you!

After some initial issues with scheduling (very busy season) - DLS was very apologetic and made a house call to estimate the job. Provided honest feedback on service need/time of season. Ultimately contracted DLS and the quality of work was great. Planning to use them again in the future.

Called company on 4/11/2013 requesting an estimate for sod replacement in the front and repair of low spot in back that accumulated water. They said that someone (Dave) would contact me to set up an appointment. Still haven't heard from that person.

Dave was excellent to work with. He traveled to my location to discuss planning and costs. He provided a free estimate and gave advice based on my requests. He was also onsite when work began and when the job was completed to insure that the work met my expectations. The entire project took approximately three weeks. The crew adapted to at least one unexpected situation when a second concrete patio was found underneath the first, and I was very pleased with how it was handled. There was a slight language barrier as much of the crew spoke Spanish. There was often one crew member who spoke English. The crew did an excellent job with all work details. The quality of work was high and clean-up was thorough. The job required that part of my neighbor's side yard was used for equipment travel. This damaged the neighbor's grass so DLS installed sod in part of my neighbor's yard as well. I highly recommend DLS and will employ them in the future for more landscaping projects.

Totally professional and great quality work. Would have loved to have put in the patio we talked about. Oh well, maybe in the summer.

Very prompt returning my initial phone call about aerating my lawn. Initial appt was set for a Monday morning that at the time we did not realize was Labor Day. Only hick-up was no phone call warning me they weren't coming do to the holiday. Set up appt for another day and they came and did a good job despite no supervision.

The owner, Dave, came out promptly to review our needs and provide a quote for the job. He suggested a few ways we could save some money by changing a few things we originally thought were necessary for the job. He came out again and did a new estimate when we decided to add a few things to the original job and was very patient as we reviewed all the plantings he suggested for us. The work was started earlier than originally planned and completed in 3 and a half days. Dave was actively involved in the project and stopped by every day. He even helped with some of the plantings. Everyting went smoothly and the crew cleaned everything up daily before they left. I was very happy with the work and especially with Dave who was very professional and, as I said, very patient with us as we reviewed things.

Very Fine work. Bad weather prevented work for several weeks. Work was done while I was out of town. Communication and coordination were excellent. Dave is a pro and the work was done well. The landscaping estimate was a bit higher than others, but based upon the brickwork I did contract I am sure that it would have been done as well as the work I did have done.

We will definitely use DLS Landscaping again in the future. Evonne who we worked with over the phone was perfect. She answered all our questions, provided updates and quotes and was very friendly. The company performed the double aeration for us and we are 100% satisfied. We will be calling them next year to do more work.

They come out right away. They go the extra mile. We have used them for several years. He are real happy with their service.

Spoke with Dave of DLS Landscaping and gave me initial estimates and some possible start dates.The next day I spoke with him and he told me his crew became available that day as it was too hot for one job but not for mine so we scheduled "same day." Dave and crew showed up on time as communicated and began the trenching. A portable trenhcer was used as well as some hand digging. His crew did a great job. When comlpete his crew then cleaned up the little bit of dirt and debris in the driveway. A nice finishing touch for a couple of guys who had been digging hours in 100 degree heat.

Called for an estimate on a front/side and backyard project. They responded quickly and came out to see the land, etc. I was told they would send me a quote via email. No quote came. I called a few weeks later and the person who answered said they've been really busy I'll make sure he gets back to you. I was never contacted.

Des Plaines got hit pretty hard with the worst rain down pour in the summer of 2011. My basement barely escape flooding because I was awake to pump up the water that was coming into the basement through the basement window wells. I got several contractors to come to evaluate how fix the backyard grading issue. DLS' estimate is the highest but the solution Dave provided make the most engineering sense (I was a Civil Engineer for 10 years and so I can tell if the proposal is just band aid or some thought has been put in the proposal). The perfect solution will be regrade the whole yard but that is cost prohibitive. In order to channel most of the rain water away from the house, DLS regarde the side of the house and the backyard patio to channel the water away from the house. The water are collected in a catch basin and then drain in several underground pipes to the existing storm drain in the backyard. DLS also connect the downspouts to the underground pipes so we can reduce the amount of water flow toward the house. The only issue I have with DLS is that the workers occasionally forgot to close the fence door at the end of their workday and the workers disassembled part of my front yard downspout pipe to channel the rain water away from the work site; I feel they should provide their own temporary pipe for the job. Overall, Dave and his crew are very good at what that do and Dave is very accommodating on minor design change that is within reason. Dave even told me about the storm drain remediation rebate offered by the City so I can save some money. We have experienced several major storms since the job is done last year and the new drainage system has performed great. I'll definitely recommending them.

Everything went well. They followed up with me by email, and they were one of the first to respond. However, I had to postpone the work so no work has been done yet.

I had to contact him several times to receive a bid, but once Dave(owner/operator) submitted one, it was detailed, and very competitive. He seemed to genuinely care about the quality of his work and the work was completed to my satisfaction in a timely fashion. He was a little annoying regarding payment but I am glad I used him.

We had them out to quote it and negotiated with them. It went well overall. They were prompt and everything was as promised. We did not have to wait for follow-up. They were very business-like and professional. They definitely stood out in this way from our other estimates. They were more expensive; however, their entire approach to doing the work and doing it correctly was well worth the money. One of the things they did was laid out all of the pipes and checked before digging. It never occurred to me to check for things like the water and gas lines. I really have to commend them on that as they were removing trees all around the property.

The estimate from DLS was about 2/3 of others received. It took longer than we had hoped to get the job completed, but the majority of this had to do with getting a building permit from the village and getting it inspected and signed off. The work they did was good, and they left the yard in good condition.

They can get a job done. I was not extremely pleased, however they are coming back to clean it up for me.

They had a thorough service organization. They had a check available and they also had full time permanent employees who were uniformed. Their equipment looked like it belonged to a business and not rented from here and there. It was all painted and it had they logo. It looked like they did it before. We have referred them to two different people on our block.

They are wonderful. They did a great job. The crew was very good. They sometimes are slow in getting back to you. His prices are a little bit high, but it is worth it for the work he does. He was very punctual. I will use them again in the future.

They did what they said they would do.

I contact DLS and they came out promply to check out my water problem. They said they would contact me the following week with the work proposal and price. They never did. A month later, I called them and they came out again and re-did the same assessment. Over the next two months, I only got hold of them once and I still havent received a proposal of price, time they can complete the project, or any indication as to what help they can provide. I even emailed them twice with pictures of the problem I'm incurring. Nothing. I'm wasting my time with this company.

Overall - all went great! Very timely, efficient, did a beautiful job!

DAVE CAME BY TWICE THE FIRST DAY TO MAKE SURE THE WORK WAS GOING AS PLANED. THE NEXT DAY HE CAME BY AND WALKED THE PROPERTY AND ASKED ME IF EVERYTHING WAS TAKEN CARE OF TO MY SATISFACTION. PLAN ON HAVING THEM BACK IN THE FALL AND THEN AGAIN NEXT SPRING.
