I had them install Dish Network in my home. It didn’t work in my motor home. They gave me all types of excuses and sent several people out to fix it (in which they said they couldn’t do). So I had no access to my satellite. They finally sent me to an authorize dealer for Dish Network, which was Camping World and they were unable to correct the problem and give me access to satellite. I knew there was nothing wrong with my system because in worked with DIRECTV. It cost me $800 to get the satellite fixed with another company (DIRECTV). The manager of Dish Network said that they would terminate the early cancellation for no charge; they just needed the equipment back. Later, they sent me to a collection agency. I talked to Debbie at the collection agency and she said Dish Network pulled back the collection…saying I didn’t owe anything. Now 2 years later Dish Network has sent me back to a new collection agency for the same exact service they pulled back 2 years ago. After $800 odd dollars later, I’m getting calls from collection agencies and the possibility of ruining my credit. I tired of these letters that were supposed to be handled years ago. I have great credit and this is going to hurt my credit score because of a company’s mistake and lack of integrity.
Description of Work: They were supposed to give me a working satellite for my television.

The local technician was new to the job, but said that he could install the new disk without having to do any new drilling. (My Homeowners Association does not allow drilling.) After two and a half hours, he informed me that he could not install the new disk and that he would re-install the old one (minus the new service). However, he did not have the equipment to re-connect me to the old satellite system, so he promised to come back that evening. When he didn't appear, I called him and was informed that he could not work while I was away running an errand. He said he would return at 11 AM the next day. He never showed up. I called DISH and spent the next two hours talking to reps, getting cut off, and waiting. Finally, a supervisor assured me that the field manager for our area would come later that day with a technician to re-install my satellite service. That evening the field manager called to say that he had not been told to come to my home. Instead, he had instructed a technician to be at my house between 7:45 and 8:15 the next morning. No one appeared. At 9 AM I called DISH, got cut off, tried again and got a promise that a technician would be coming. At 10:45 AM a technician showed up and claimed that he had been trying to call me; he had the wrong number! I was then informed that he would be drilling more holes in the roof in order to accommodate the larger disk. Since my HOA does not allow drilling, that meant that I could not subscribe to the international system. The following week I canceled my subscription to DISH Network. The company agreed to reimburse me for the time I was without service.
Description of Work: I requested that international (European) satellite service be added to the service which I already had.
