We highly recommend Carpet Outlet. Bill guided us to the right carpet for our needs – finished basement, family room and guest room – after we lost our carpet to water issues earlier this year. Bill was careful to guide us to the best carpet choice – not too cheap, but also, not too expensive. The carpet we chose is outstanding, could not be happier with it. Additionally, the installation crew was excellent – on time, professional, did not damage to walls, and put the carpet down tight. From the day we came to select a carpet, try samples at home, get measured, twice, for fit, have carpet bound with matching binding, and finally installment by very professional men, it was the absolute perfect experience. We would highly recommend them to anyone. Price was great! Service great! What more could you ask for?

I am a value shopper so I was intent on getting the best price for a quality carpet. Bill helped me select several samples to work with my furniture wall colors. Hesaved me about 3 yards by changing the way the carpet was laid. He also assured me that he could meet/beat Home Depot prices. I eventually found a sample I wanted at HD. Jim (the owner) was able to match it and beat HD's price. Carpet came in on time, and the installers were prompt. Luis & Rick did a great job moving my furniture and installing the carpet. I can't even see the seams. They didn't rush me and let me vacuum the carpet before they put the furniture back down and reinstalled the doors. I got a high quality carpet at a great price. Highly recommended!!

Here's what happened: I needed only 2 rooms done of 3 on the first floor, and I was worried about matching the colors. The house is fairly new (5 yrs old), so I thought it would not be a problem... I was wrong. They explained the carpet lifecycle, and we spent A LOT of time trying to match samples from the same manufacturer, and eventually from other manufacturers. After many days and many conversations, we determined that we would not be able to do just the 2 rooms, and we would have to wait until all could be done. So we bought nothing. BUT, we definitely did find the only carpet company (people!) that we'll ever deal with when we have the money saved! They were awesome! Please note that I gave them only a B in the price category, because they were not the cheapest, although they were very close to the cheapest in price. The simple truth is that I will HAPPILY pay a few cents more per foot for the outstanding professionalism that comes with this company. Again, HIGHLY recommended!

I am very happy with them because we had a time frame within which they had to finish the work and they finished the work within that time frame. They had very good prices. I looked around and they had the best price. They had a very big selection. We went to their showroom and picked from the samples. We took the samples home and selected what we wanted and ordered for the same. We got the carpeting in 4 bedrooms, hallway, stairs, and a living room. That was a lot of carpeting to be done and other places told us that they could finish the work in two days and Carpet Outlet Inc said they could finish in just one day. They helped us move the furniture as well. They normally charge on a per room basis, but because of the amount of carpeting we got done they charged us less. I was very pleased. They moved all the furniture and got it all in one room. They finished all the work in one day and I was very impressed.

This appears to be a small company located in a convienient strip shoppiing center. When I went to shop I was the only customer and was helped by the owner, Jim. What a nice a helpful gentleman. He listened to what we were trying to do and what we wanted. He offered intellegent (non selling) suggestions, always helpful in trying to find the best carpet that would fit into our budget. He also helped us with various color options and selections. We went home with about 7 or 8 samples (nice size) to comtemplate what might work for us. He came out to measure a few days later and again helped us with best selections to fit our decor. His pricing was very, very good (we had been shopping elsewhere) His per sq foot price included high quality padding and installation., with NO extra charge for stairs (this is a big difference from other carpet shops). His fee for removing old carpet and moving furniture was the lowest that I found while carpet shopping. The installation crew are regular employees of Carpet Outlet. The were very polite, professional and kept everything clean and organized. I have purchased carpet many times over the years but this is first time that I felt compelled to publically endorse a vendor of the type.

We initially bought carpeting from Carpet Outlet in the early 1980's, having them do all our bedrooms and were thoroughly impressed with the company as well as the owner, Jim Wentz. We were very impressed with Jim more than 20 years ago and remain so today. His store is well-laid out with three aisles based on carpet costs. While you might not be able to find some of the very high end type carpets selling for over $5 a sq. ft., there is an ample selection of most cost ranges to suit the majority of folks. They use only the top 8 oz padding. Jim personally came out to measure a few days after we bought. The carpet arrived roughly a week later. Three installers (Carpet Outlet uses their own installers to ensure that this aspect is performed by highly qualified people.) came out to strip off the old carpet and cut into 4 foot sections (per our trash collection requirements). The old padding was bagged up and taken back to be recycled by padding manufacturers. Some of the carpet that was re-stretched took longer than expected because it had been installed by a different company and the edges were nailed into the tackless strips. When I asked one of the installers why this would happen since the tackless strips have pointed grabbers. I was told that if the carpet is installed with only the knee-kicking stretchers instead of the power stretcher which uses the opposite wall for leverage, the tightness of the carpet will not hold up and the security of the hold by the tackless will weaken. In all honesty, we went to several carpet sellers within a 15 mile radius. While there were a couple of other shops we felt comfortable, Carpet Outlet remained the winner overall. All carpet was priced, the prices were among the best and quite affordable. measure and installation were impeccable. If you have ventured into stores where there is private branding (where they take the names like 'Mohawk' and put their store name on it), you know that it is difficult to compare prices. If you have had carpet that has buckled, it may have been due to the separation of the backing or poor installation. If you have walked into a store looking for a specific type of carpet only to be pressed to look at the recommendations of the salesperson, then you need to go to a carpet sales store where they do EVERYTHING RIGHT!!.

I priced competition. They were in the middle. They did a beautiful job. I will definitely use them again.

Bill was helpful, although trying to compare durability of various types is difficult when brands are privately-labeled (we shopped at Home Depot and Carpet Outlet). Consequently, it's difficult to judge if we received a good deal (we think/hope we did). The installers were great...courteous, professional, & neat.
