The work done by them was very smooth. They came out to give an estimate on a Friday and they got back on the next Friday to get the work done. They charged the same price that they had quoted. The only strange thing was that, they called me after the work was done, as they had misplaced the cheque that I had given them. They didn’t ask for another cheque, as it had been cashed by someone. I am not sure if it was cashed by them or by the guy to whom I gave the cheque. They never called me back. They were very apologetic and polite about the entire situation. They were trying to figure out as to what could have happened. However, all these things happened after the work was done and it didn’t cost me anything extra.

Excellent. Dan was quick with the initial appointment, an estimate, and he spoke with my wife and me very carefully as he analyzed our needs and concerns. The work was done quickly. He had done work for a neighbor and has been in the field for decades. His price was clearly the best.

There were 4 men on the job and it was completed very quickly. There was a large amount of branches that were quickly removed, and they were careful to pick up those that fell on the other side of my fence on my neighbor's property. The evergreen was well cut back from the garage. All trees looked great when done!

These are the guys to use if you're having trees removed. Dan was responsive to my phone calls and left not only the estimate, but proof of insurance, which is important if you're having this type of work performed. I received other estimates and his was right in there, but more professional than the others I spoke with. He was out in three days to have the trees removed. The guys started at 7:30 am and were pulling away around 8:15 am. His team of 5 worked like a smooth running machine, were courteous, and you could tell they really knew what they were doing. I was very impressed and love the look of my home without the overcrowded trees. I highly recommend Dan from Approved Tree Care...you won't be disappointed!

Arrived on time, dropped utilities and were done in six hours. All branches were cut and dropped without hitting house, garage or neighbors.

I contacted two companies to get estimates for removing two (one small and one mid size) trees from the front yard. "Approved Tree Care" showed up first. He gave me a price of $300 to remove both trees. This seemed a reasonable price to me and I accepted it. Few minutes later, I found out that this price did not include removing (grind) the stumps. I also found out that I need to remove the small stones around the trees before they start their job. He said for additional $75 he can remove the stump from one of the two trees. I realized that this guy is not honest. However, given my busy schedule these days, I did not want to bother with getting another estimate, etc. So I reluctantly accepted the offer. He asked for $50 deposit and asked me for a signature showing the total price and the deposit. Few days later the other company called me. It looked like they already went to my house and were ready to do the job for $300. This includes removing the stumps of both trees and I do not have to remove the small stones from around the trees. More importantly, the guy was upfront and very professional. I decided to give "Approved Tree Care" a call. I really did not expect to get my deposit back or cancel the agreement. My intention was to complain about the bad deal. Or may be talk to the manager about unprofessional tactics used by their employees. After all, I just wanted to get this job done and over with minimum amount of time on my part. The telephone conversation which took place this morning was a shock to me. The same guy who gave me the estimate answered the phone. He gave me a lecture about the purpose of contracts between parties. What is worse is the fact he realized that I was not born in the US so, he gave me another lecture about "this is America" not some other country and contracts are important in courts. Finally he hung up on me. I do not really remember when was the last time I had to deal with a person like this. Anyone, I just wanted people to know about this company based on my experience. Also, if you were born outside the US, you might have a problem with this company.

Dan was very prompt and came out to our house and wrote up an estimate right there on the spot. We agreed on the price and scheduled an appointment. His crew arrived on time and did a great job. All work was done as we had agreed to.

Dan "the tree man" was very prompt in returning our phone calls. He was out to our house and wrote up an estimate the very same day we called. When the tree finally fell, Dan, again responded on the very first day we called him and the tree and stump were gone by the time we got home from work. Dan was responsive and very helpful. He called later that day to make sure we were satisfied and we certainly were.

We needed to someone to trim our severely overgrown oak tree. We had just bought our property and wanted someone to do the work right away. We contacted three contractors from the list, and Dan was the only one to tell us to wait until the tree went dormant in fall before doing the work because summer work could kill the tree. He came back a few months later and gave us a quote that fell right in the middle of the three. He gave us his certificate of insurance with the quote and even told us there were other contractors who would do the work for less. The low price contractor was a no show on a prior small project so going with Dan was a no-brainer. He also gave us a good price on the additional landscape removal because his crew was going to be on site anyway. We called Dan in November to let him know we would be going out of town, and his crew came the next day. The work looks great and the yard looked clean after they left. We are very happy with the work.

Dan gave us one day notice (he explained at the beginning that it could be last minute). The crew arrived after 2 pm and were gone before 4. My daughter said everything was done quickly and efficiently, Clean-up was very thorough. The only problems were that they did not trim branches on a neighbors bush that overhung our yard (had said they would) and the side gate was left open (there are small children living here).

Dan does excellent work. The project involved grinding out about 50 multistemmed shrub stumps that we had cut down to the ground. The ground underneath the shrubs was covered in river rock, most of which was removed prior to the grinding. The timing of the project was complicated by the fact that we were on vacation when the scheduling worked out for Dan to come over. No problem since Dan said he didn't need to have anyone home to do the work. Unfortunately when we returned from our trip, there was a voicemail from Dan apologizing for a broken window. It turns out that his stump grinding machine hit a river rock that was buried under the dirt and shot it into one of our large windows in the back of the house. Dan arranged with a window company to have the repair made and stayed in regular contact with us to make sure the work was being scheduled (he paid for the repair). Dan was extremely responsible and returned calls promptly. We definitely plan on using him again.

I contacted Approved Tree Care for an estimate to remove a large tree which had been hit by lightening. Dave returned my call within one day and provided an estimate the following day. The estimate was in writing and stated exactly the work to be performed. Dave also noted that another tree was overhanging our house and advised to trim it back. That was excellent, because I had noticed that as well months earlier but hadn't thought about that tree recently. I accepted the estimate and Approved Tree Care promptly completed the work the following day. All work was completed as discussed.

Dan was extremely knowledgeable, and indicated that one of the trees was on the parkway. In my town, only the city should trim those. He provided an estimate very quickly, and called me to discuss it the same day. I was very impressed with the quote experience, though I did choose another firm that bid a lower price.

It went very well! Dan came on a Saturday morning to explain everything & gave us an estimate. Couple of weeks later (due to bad weather), 5 people came & did a fine job!

Great job, on time, and cleaned up afterwards.

Obtained three bids from Angie's List. APPROVED was very competitive and in addition, offered several great ideas that the others didn't offer. The company was professional and prompt. Arrived with adequate equipment and workers. Good clean-up after completion of the job.

He was thorough in his quote & made sure we were very clear on the job before his guys started cutting anything down. Also, he did some light trimming on one tree- he sculpted & shaped it very nicely. He also gave me a referral to another company in his field that I needed to speak with. Very helpful!

WE WERE BOTH VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE. PRICES OF ALL THE TREE CARE COMPANIES THAT I CONTACTED WERE VERY CLOSE, BUT ''APPROVED TREE SERVICE'' WAS PHYSICALLY CLOSER TO OUR HOUSE THAN THE OTHERS. THEY TOOK MUCH LESS TIME THAN EXPECTED; DAN HAD BEEN AFRAID THAT THEY COULDN'T DO IT FOR 1 1/2 WEEKS, INSTEAD THEY CAME IN 1 1/2 DAYS. I HAD MADE IT QUITE OBVIOUS THAT PARTICULARS WEREN'T THAT IMPORTANT, SINCE I'M HOME ALL DAY. THEY CLEANED UP WELL AFTER THEMSELVES. THEY CHIPPED THE TREE DOWN 12''-18'' DEEP. THE ONLY COMPLAINT WAS FROM MY 8 1/2 YEAR OLD SON, WHO SAID ''THAT WAS THE GREATEST PLACE FOR ME TO FIND (AND CONSEQUENTLY BRING IN) QUARTZ ROCKS. NOW I CAN'T GET THEM ANYMORE! THAT'S OK, I DIDN'T WANT ANY MORE QUARTZ ROCKS IN THE HOUSE, ANYWAY :-) THE ONLY COMPLAINT THAT MY HUSBAND HAD, WAS THAT THE WORKERS FORGOT TO TAKE THE TIME CHANGE (IN TERMS OF DARKNESS) INTO ACCOUNT, SO THE CLEANUP TOOK A SECOND DAY -- WHICH WAS ALSO MUCH MORE QUICKLY DONE THAN EXPECTED (OR PROMISED)

WE CALLED DAN AND LEFT A VOICE MAIL. HE RETURNED OUR CALL THAT EVENING, AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE NEXT MORNING AT 8 AM. DAN ARRIVED PROMPTLY AND LOOKED AT THE TREES, PROVIDED A WRITTEN ESTIMATE ON THE SPOT, AND GAVE A COPY OF HIS LIABILITY INSURANCE. HIS CREW SHOWED UP EARLY THE FOLLOWING WEEK, AND IMMEDIATELY GOT READY. THE FOREMAN REVIEWED THE WORK WITH US, AND THEY BEGAN THE JOB. THEY FINISHED IN ABOUT 4 HOURS, INCLUDING A LUNCH BREAK. WE PAID THE REMAINDER (TOTAL - DEPOSIT) WHEN THEY FINISHED THE WORK. THERE WAS SOME DAMAGE TO THE GARDEN PLANTS AROUND THE BASES OF SOME OF THE TREES, BUT THIS WAS LIKELY UNAVOIDABLE. OVERALL, WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK.
