Approved Tree Care

We felt that Dan was very knowledgable and professional. His crew was efficient, and all the work was completed in 1 day. I would definitely recommend them.

This is the third time I've hired Dan the Tree Man of Approved Tree Care. He is friendly, professional and prompt. His pricing is always comparable or less than other bids, but I'm looking for quality which is what I get with Approved Tree Care. My most recent job for Dan was to trim and shape up two large trees.(Russian Olive and River Birch). He made certain any branches close to the house and roof were cleared. I also had him remove a large Juniper and grind the stump. He team also did a great job of cleaning up and hauling the debris away.

They dropped large branches on my lilac bushes in my yard. I have called three times and I keep getting an answering machine, so therefore I do not leave a message. since I am not their customer they may not respond to my call.

Dan & his crew were very careful -- laying plywood over our lawn before bringing in the truck & basket from which he cut down the tree. The tree removal was completed uneventfully & the cleanup afterwards was very thorough. Our biggest concern was the fact that the tree spread well above our roof & we were obviously worried about potential roof damage during the removal. Needless to say, the tree removal was done without any damage. Although we're sorry to lose the tree, I am very pleased with this company's service. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Dan was great to work with. .fast ..prompt, .and did a great job. They took down a dead tree for me as well as they fixed a screw up from another tree Service. Last year I paid good money to another tree company that said they would grind the stump 12 to 18 inches... they went 4 to 6..I tried to plant new trees this year and could not.. Anyway..Dan grinded the area dirt cheap and did 100 percent better!! I will use them anytime I need a tree Service again

got a quote i liked from dan, hired him, on the day of service dan was here maybe 45 seconds, i walked in the backyard with him and showed him what i wanted done. he said something to the workers and was gone just like that. i assumed they knew what i wanted. for the most part the tree was done well, but the limbs over my neighbors wires which i said needed to be cut are still there. and i was working with dan on my neighbors trim job and the branches overhanging my house are still there. when i called to complain, i was ignored for two calls and got a sarcastic response on my third. i have had many workers at my house and EVERYONE of them introduces themselves, shakes my hand, tells me the name of the lead worker. not dan, he told me "sorry i did not sit down and have a cup of coffee with you" i am the sorry one. instead of taking care of the customer he did have, he brushed me off to try to trap some other poor sap. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE DISAPPOINTED WITH A BUSINESS. thank you for reading this

I am very impressed with the service of everyone from Dan who gave me the quote to the crew that worked on the trees. They came out the next day and were on time and began working right away. The crew was pleasant and professional and were working extremely hard throughout the day. The end results was the area looks great and cleaned up as if no work had taken place that day. I was pleasantly surprised at the result of the work. In fact, my neighbor also call them and had a tree removed since that time. I would definitely use Approved Tree Care again and will refer them to others looking for a tree service.

He did return the call in the middle of the day and left a message. Unfortunately I work and although I had given him the number to call me during the day, he left the message on my home phone. If you need tree service during December this is not the tree service for you. I was told in the message that they were finishing up for the year and could get out and do it next spring (April?) or maybe I could call a landscaper instead. I have often had tree trimmers come and prune up my trees during the winter. Non of them ever needed to wait until spring. I'll use my old tree trimmer even if he isn't on Angie's List. He does work in the winter.

Dan was very responsive, knowledgeable and likable, and did a thorough estimate. On job day, Dan stopped by to give the crew instructions and then left the crew to complete the work. They were efficient and overall did good work. A couple of branches fell on the chimney cap and made a loud noise (from inside the house). I discussed with the foreman. He said not to worry - it sounded worse than it was. There didn't appear to be any damage, but he asked the crew to be more careful. After they had finished I noticed that a couple trees on the side of the house hadn't been pruned. I pointed that out to the foreman and they took care of them without any argument. I would use them again, but recommend that you be home on job day unless the job is simple.

They showed up promptly, first thing in the morning, as they said they would. They did a wonderful job on our trees and cleaned up afterward. Would definately recommend them.

Overall, it went extremely well. Work was done in a very short time and we are very pleased with the results.

I hired Approved Tree Care to trim some trees and brush in my yard following some recent storms. They charged less money to trim 3 mature trees and rip out some smaller wild-growing buckthorn than the other two bidders were charging to do only 2 trees and no brush clearing. Many of the tree services are price-gauging this year due to all the storm damage, but Approved Tree Care was very competitive. Also very prompt and professional in both the estimate process and the actual work. A crew showed up on time, did the work very well, and cleared ALL debris. After they were done, my yard was cleaner/neater than it had been before. My neighbors complimented how nicely they'd done the tree trimming, especially since some other tree services doing work on my block were very sloppy and caused damage. Will definitely hire them again!

Dan the 'tree man' called me back very quickly and came over the same day I called to give us a quote. He happens to live near us so I am sure that helped. He explained how they would do the tree and stump removal. I mentioned Angie's list and he made sure the discount was on our quote. After we called him back to do the work, he asked for a $50 deposit and gave me approximate timing for the job. He called two days before they came out and they (his crew) showed up first thing in the morning on the appointed day. Work was done really fast and they didn't leave a big mess!

The work was complete and very clean. No debris was left.The area where the tree was lcated is now ready for new plants, etc. The crew was very efficent and professional.

Another tree service wanted to bring a boom truck into the back yard to take down the tall tree. Approved Tree care sent a team of experienced men, who dropped the tree safely and without damage. No boom was needed, which saved wear and tear on my lawn and my neighbor's. As for the birch clump, the company was able to identify the insect that killed the trees.

Workers were very friendly and on time. Work was done to my satisfaction and clean up was excellent. I had 3 companies out prior to using Approved Tree Care and they were the best price and provided exceptional service. I would recomend them and will use in the future.

Overall, it was a good experience from talking to Dan on the phone the first time to the actual removal of the bushes. Was not quite sure if a tree service would remove bushes but Approved Tree Care does. After talking to Dan on the phone, Dan came out within a couple days to give an estimate. I had called a competitor on Angies List who said they would be out in a week for an estimate. My project was not that complicated, but Dan did a good job explaining what he would do and answered any questions I had. He gave me an estimate on the spot. I also received the estimate by mail. Along with the estimate, Dan sent me a copy of his certifcate of liability insurance (without me asking) which I appreciated. Finally, Dan's team came out within a week and removed the bushes. Did a great job. Would definitely use Approved Tree Care for my next project. Note: The $405 cost includes Angies List 10% discount. Also, Dan does require a $50 down payment and does not accept credit cards.

Approved Tree Care did an excellent job. They demonstrated professionalism when due to the rain they called to reschedule so as not to damage our lawn. They called to confirm the night before they were to show up. They were punctual and did a great job. They finished the job in about 2.5 hours. Our neighbors were also impressed with how well they did the job. I would use them again and I would recommend them to anyone looking for tree service.

I had 3 estimates and Dan's was the most comprehensive - there were enough workers to get the job finished in a reasonable amount of time - They were here at the time promised and did a good job of trimming and cleaning up afterwards

They showed up a few days before they were due (but had called the day before to notify us) and were done in about three hours. We had used them before and are quite happy with both experiences. They cleaned up all the debris and raked the area. The tree they removed was in somewhat tight quarters next to house but they were careful about the surroundings. Would definitely use them again as the need arises.

They came and gave an estimate as discussed, scheduled the work, showed up on time and did a good job.

Everything went fine. We had a timely estimate, a phone call that there was a 10% off coupon in the local paper, and a call to let me know when the crew was coming. They were efficient and communicated with me. There was a small problem of a tree limb hitting our shed but it was promptly, honestly, and efficiently communicated to me and repaired and it would not affect my decision to hire them again. Their price was much better than another bid that I received.

Access was limited and there were a number of smaller trees and a fence under the tree. They very efficiently removed the tree to the ground without damaging any of the trees or fence. Cleaned up the area very nicely. Did not have the trunk removed as it was over a number of buried utilities which was OK since it is in a corner of the property. In and out in less than half a day. Will definitely consider using them in the future.
