Description of Work: Installed 3 window well covers for me. Dave was the only one who came out and actually measured the window wells for sizing purposes. He came back in a few days and made the installation. Great product and the cost was very reasonable. Would definitely use them again or refer them to others.

Description of Work: After reading all the positive reviews we decided to get a quote on covering our two large and three small wells. We have been wanting something over the wells for home security and safety four our children for some time. We got a quote on a Friday and had the covers installed on Monday. They are just perfect...exactly what we wanted. You will not be disappointed with Window-well. We only wish we would have done it sooner!

Dave did the work as scheduled and with no inconvenience - I wasn't even home. He left a bill in the door and I called the next day to pay with a credit card. Overall a very pleasant experience.

+ 0 moreI am thrilled with my window well covers. They are not using the cheap thin plastic I noticed at the home improvement stores which a child could fall through if they stepped on it. They are not nearly as expensive as some I've seen with an almost identical material. Deborah Wolski of Window-Well Cover Co. was very helpful when I called to ask some questions initially. I had already made up my mind that I wanted to use them, and when Dave came out to take measurements I told him I wanted them to do the work, he was so enthusiastic about their product he still wanted me to have a sample. I had to remind him that I didn't need it as I'd already made up my mind and just needed to know what the final cost would be. He emailed me the price the next day. Because the price was under $500 they didn't even ask for a down payment. I found this amazing considering they were going to cut the 3 covers based on my window well sizes. Because I was out of town at the time they installed the covers, they left me an invoice in the envelope with the clasps and I mailed them a check the next day! I think this is how trusting people used to be years ago. I would highly recommend Window-Well Cover Co. to anyone who wants to work with an honest, reliable company with a great product and remarkable prices!! Description of Work: I wanted my window wells covered for security purposes. I found Window-Well Company by searching online. They are located in Oswego, IL. and their products have a lifetime guarantee. I called them for information and Dave Wolski came out within a couple of days to explain their product, show me a sample of the material used and take measurements so he could provide me with an estimate. I like their product because they are able to customize the cover size to your window well and will cut it to fit properly. It is a translucent fiberglass cover so no one can see in your basement, but you still have daylight and it can be secured by a clip or lock. I chose the clasp-hinge lock style which is installed on the inside of the well with an easy release clip in case I need it for an emergency exit. The cover is able to support about 300 lbs so there's no worry that someone will fall through it and it also keeps out animals, rain, snow, and stops drafts. The installation was done about a week later. An employee came and did all the work on the outside of my house. She bolted the hinges of the covers to the concrete walls and bolted hinges to the inside of my galvanized window wells. Because I was not home she left the clasps in an envelope in a location I had instructed them to use. When I returned home I went down in my basement, used a small step ladder to remove the screens and reach into the window well, clipping the clasps into the hinges. It took me about 10 minutes to do it, with most of the time taken to remove and put back up the screens on my basement windows.

The whole transaction was actually conducted without ever meeting anyone. They did the estimate one day, left an overview of the job. That night I gave the thumbs up and within the next few days they were installed with no money upfront. They left an invoice for the job and I called and paid it over the phone. It would be nice if all service providers could be this prompt and courteous. I recommend them emphatically.

+ 1 moreDavid did an awesome job at getting them installed. Very professional and very nice to deal with. I would recommend this company to anyone. He came out for an estimate and did all the measurements. I called him back and he came out a week later and installled. The installation only took about an hour.
Description of Work: David came out and installed window well covers on all 6 of my well covers. 2 of the wells were the "escape" versions. One of these escape versions and one normal had my brick-paver patio built around them and were a little tricky because of that.

+ 1 moreA very professional, prompt and responsive team from the get go. Dave took my first enquiry call on Friday, and promised to send someone over on Monday to take a look at the job. As promised, Monday morning, in the pouring rain, Davis showed up to estimate the job. He explained what they would do to fix the uneven edge using fiberglass extensions and how they would install the cover. By Tuesday, the job was scheduled. On Wednesday, the window well cover was installed!!! Outstanding job! We are VERY happy with the work done.
Description of Work: A tricky window well backing to a brick patio needed the cover replaced. The generic covers would not fit due to the uneven edges of the window well and the fact that the bricks were obstructing part of it. It needed a custom cover, and the window-well team did a fantastic job of fixing it.

+ 0 moreThey used a type of cover that you can walk through without falling through. I have grand children and I am afraid of them falling in the window well, but they did a really nice job with the window scenes. We paid about $300 for that job. We have a bedroom in the basement with a window well and if you every looked at the inside of those window wells, they are pretty ugly, so my wife and I got online and found a company that makes scenery. They come in and bolt it for you, put mulch at the bottom and put the top cover on, and it is completely sealed. It took about 2 or hours for them to complete the job and I love the work they did and thin k it is fantastic. We have more comments when people walk in there and we also get a lot of light in. I think she had comment about them not getting back to her when they should have, but were very pleasant though.
Description of Work: We used Windo-Well Cover Co. Inc. last fall and they put an outdoor scene inside the window well and cover the top of it.

I requested that I be here and they worked with the time to honor my request, both on the estimate and for the install. Cleaned out weeds and debris from wells. Appreciated the neighborhood discount available with 2 or more homes. The window well covers look great, let in lots of light, and now we no longer have to worry about debris, frogs, racoons and/or anything else falling into the wells!

DUE TO A VERY BAD STORM IN MY AREA, ONE OF THE WINDOW WELL COVERS WAS DAMAGED BECAUSE A LARGE TREE BRANCH FELL ON IT. WINDO WELL ADDRESSED THE SITUATION IN A PROMPT AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER AND STOOD BEHIND ITS PRODUCT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
