Ryan Renovations Windows, Siding, & Roofing

We received estimates from 3 different contractors for our soffit and fascia which was totally outdated. 1) Not only did Ryan Renovations offered the best estimate but also provided the best coverage for the entire project. 2) Ryan was very thorough and explained all the work needed as we went around the house while he was taking measurements. 3) The crew was very professional. They worked tirelessly in the cold February. They cleaned after each day that they finished. The workmanship was top notched. 4) A few weeks after the work was completed, we called for a minor issue that we noticed due to the weather conditions. Ryan responded immediately to my call. The crew came in and completed the work without even bothering us. 5) We were very pleased with the quality, professionalism and service that Ryan Renovations provided.

We did the due diligence and had 4 different companies come give us quotes ranging from $12,500 to $36,000 for 16 windows and a sliding glass door. We made the decision to go with a local company, and so far we are very happy with the whole process and products. We chose Ryan Renovations Windows Siding & Roofing. Ryan is the person that came to talk to us. He was very thorough explaining everything and answered all our questions. Ryan Renovations was not the lowest quote but they definitely were not anywhere near the highest quote either. It took approximately 5 weeks from decision day and subsequent measuring day till our new windows/sliding glass door were installed. The installation guys were quick and clean. We had to vacuum under all of the windows, but that was it. It would have taken 2 days - but ended up being 2.5 due to rain. They required 50% down when we signed the contract and then the remaining 50% was due when Ryan came to our house after the install to make sure we were satisfied and we knew how to operate everything. One other surprisingly good thing is that it's much quieter in the house now! The windows were done a few days prior to July 4th. Our dog goes crazy with all the fireworks going off. We could still hear them, but they were way more muffled than before with the old windows.

Everyone was very professional. The siding guys especially good. Kept us informed of progress. Highly recommend.

We had extensive damage to the exterior of our home due to a hail storm. We needed repairs to our roof, vinyl siding, and gutter system. We were told to get three estimates before making a decision. Ryan Dewey was the third contractor we called for an estimate. He was much sharper than the first two contractors and told us things the other two missed, so we knew he was the right man to do the job. Initially, our insurance company was only going to pay to have one side of our vinyl siding replaced. We were very concerned about the esthetics of the final product. We had the insurance adjuster come back to our house to reconsider and Ryan was instrumental in getting the insurance company to widen the scope of the project. In terms of customer service, Ryan always made himself available before the work started and during the time the work was being completed. Ryan was at the house on two separate occasions when the insurance adjusters were assessing the damage. Ryan spent a generous amount of time explaining the products he would be using, the timeline, and the details and process in which the work would be completed. We asked for his opinion about various things, such as the color scheme for the roof and siding, and he always had very good advice for us. When it was time to have the work done, three separate specialized crews came out to complete the work. All of the work was completed within a reasonable amount of time. Ryan has exceeded our expectations. Quality craftsmanship is an understatement – the house looks better than when it was a new construction home. We are extremely pleased with the outcome and we highly recommend Ryan and his team.

Ryan was great and easy to work with. The project on my home was the result of a hail damage claim with State Farm, and Ryan worked with me, and my insurance company (State Farm), throughout the entire process. The project was completed on time and on budget. I also liked the crew that he had hired to work on my home. The foreman was very outgoing, friendly and easy to work with. They even did a little extra work for me, such as hanging new shutters I had bought on a part of my home that they did not work on (brick facade). After the project was completed, due to a little miss-communication between myself and the foreman, my mailbox was hung in an incorrect spot - putting 2 holes into the new siding. Ryan has even agreed to come back to my home and replace the affected section of siding for free the next time his crew is in my area. This is greatly appreciated, and Ryan was easy to work with regarding this concern.

The materials they use are top notch! The first crew came out and did the soffit and fascia in vinyl. It took them most of the day but they were "craftsmen" in every sense of the word. They explained what they were going to do and made sure we were completely satisfied with the job before they left. The new materials matched the colors we had perfectly. All the neighbors complimented us on the "new look" and also on the quality of work and how well the crew cleaned up before they left. The gutter crew came out a few days later to install the new gutters. They also did an excellent job showing their craftsmanship. The new gutters where heavier gauge than the old ones and the new downspouts are 3 X 5 inches which prevents them from clogging up easily. The color of materials matched the old gutters perfectly. Again the neighbors where impressed. We are completed satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend Ryan Renovations to anyone.

Been in my home for about two years now and the majority of my home is brick but there are some sections of wood siding and all of my soffit and fascia is wood as well. As you know, wood deteriorates, cracks, peels and rots which is exactly what its doing. So rather than having to paint every 2-3 years, we decided to go ahead and make the investment of vinyl siding, all new soffit and fascia as well as gutters. Since Im in sales myself, I make it a point to get atleast 5 estimates for home improvements I make to my home to ensure I get the best deal and choose the right company. Ryan Renovations was the last company I met with. The previous four were ok and estimates were about the same. After meeting with Ryan, i signed a contract that night. He was very knowledgeable, great to deal with and came in with the most competitive price out of the five. I liked the fact that he started the company himself and cared about what he does. I have a fairly large home so the overall job took about a week to complete. The workers were always on time and cleaned up when they were done. They interacted with my wife on a daily basis and were very nice and polite. The work itself was amazing, every thing looked great when it was finished and I have 0 complaints. The materials they used are top of the line which is what I also liked. I would 100% use them again and again and 100% would recommend them. GOOD JOB!

We were looking to get 8 windows and a sliding patio door replaced in conjunction with new siding. We received our quote directly from Ryan Dewey, Owner, of Ryan Renovations. It was much appreciated to have the owner come and provide the estimate directly. Ryan was very thorough with his estimate and answered all of our questions completely. Ryan brought a sample of the window that he uses for his jobs. Ryan demonstrated the use of the window and this provided us with the opportunity to really have the full knowledge that we needed to make our decision. Ryan did not pressure us into making our decision and gave us ample time to discuss our decision (we had already received a few other quotes at this time). Ultimately, we decided to give Ryan our business as we were impressed with his overall presentation and the product that he uses. We also hired Ryan for our new siding which is in a separate review under the siding section. The windows are custom sized and it took a few weeks for the windows to be made. Once made, Ryan's window crew contacted us and set up a time that worked for us. The entire installation was complete in one day. The work was very professional and the quality was exceptional. The windows were installed without any issue and our interior trim remained in place and untouched. The entire process was incredibly smooth. The crew made sure to clean up after itself and we did not see any evidence of them walking around the house. Overall we are incredibly pleased with our new windows and sliding door and found the process to be painless and enjoyable. We would definitely recommend Ryan Renovations to anyone looking to have windows and/or a sliding door replaced.

We first received a quote from Ryan Dewey, Owner, of Ryan Renovations to replace our siding, soffits, fascia, and gutters. Ryan personally came to perform the quote which was much appreciated. Ryan was very professional and was very thorough in his quote. He was able to answer all of our questions thoughtfully and completely. Ryan brought samples of the products that he uses and explained the fact that these were high quality products. It was nice to be able to compare these product samples to other materials used in the market and it was easy to see that these were high quality products. Ryan also brought plenty of pictures of his previous jobs as well as proof of insurance. It was nice to see actual jobs as well as not having to request proof of insurance. Ryan did not pressure us at all and gave us plenty of time to think over our decision (we had obtained a few other quotes prior to Ryan's) and ultimately we felt most comfortable giving Ryan our business. This job was an insurance claim and Ryan let us know that he would personally work with the insurance company to ensure that they covered everthing that they should be. Ryan informed us that often times insurance companies will overlook items during their inspection and exclude them from their estimate. Ryan looked over the insurance company's estimate and was able to work directly with the insurance company through phone calls and taking pictures and was able to significantly increase the original estimate. Without this increase, the insurance company estimate would not have completely covered the job cost. Ryan's crew of two were able to come out and complete the job in approximately a week. Before the job started, I walked around the house and explained our preferences and questions and the crew carefully listened and answered all questions that we had. it was much appreciated to have a crew listen to our concerns and act accordingly. The crew was obviously well experienced in their trade and we were amazed to watch the progress each day. They took pride in their work and all details were thought out and the work was high quality. As the work progressed the crew kept me updated on the progress and estimated completion date which was also appreciated. On the final day, the crew cleaned up around the house and made sure everything was in order. Overall, we couldn't be happier for choosing Ryan Renovations. The entire process went very smoothly and the quality of the work is exceptional. I would certainly recommend Ryan Renovations to anyone looking to have their siding replaced.

I have had a few jobs done by Ryan Renovations in the past & contacted Ryan about my roof. We have had several tiles come off in the past year from severe wind & the roof was 21 years old. I called Ryan on 9/16/13. His roofer came out the next day to evaluate the roof. He felt the garage should be done at the same time as the tiles were starting to curl. I wasn?t sure what style of tiles, what brand, etc & Ryan was very helpful with determining all of this based on my color of brick and past wind problems. We have a Georgian with an addition equal to the size of the original house. Our garage is 2 ½ cars barn style. He quoted us $6900 for the full job including hauling of old materials, lifetime shingles, replacing rotted wood, and 10 year labor warranty. Ryan scheduled the work and a crew of six gentlemen got to work at 7am. We had very iffy weather that day but the crew was very careful to cover each area with a tarp as they removed the old roofing. Unfortunately, it did rain mid-removal but we were protected & no water came into the house. So much for a perfectly sunny day! They also replaced 3 sheets of rotted plywood and told me it was on the house! A 6 ft ice guard was installed before the roofing tiles. The men never stopped except for lunch. I made burgers & hot dogs for them & they were extremely grateful! They finished around 7pm. All materials were cleaned up & they made several passes with the nail magnet. We did not find one nail or any pieces of old roofing at all! I also had the men check our gutters and soffits to make sure they were in good condition and they assured me that all was good. I couldn?t be happier with the work, price & attention to detail that Ryan Renovations showed me.

My experience with Ryan Renovations Windows, Siding, & Roofing was absolutely excellent. What made them excellent was their professionalism and they way they took car of my plants. We have expensive plantings around our house. It was like they were not even there. They thought it would take two days but they pulled it off and got it in one day. It looked beautiful. It was absolutely perfect. I had no complaints whatsoever. With the price, they were right where everybody else pretty much was. I would absolutely use them in the future.

If we ever change our mind about how vinyl looks, Manny (Manuel Apantenco) will be the guy I call to get it done. He's honest, helpful, and not pushy.

I first met Ryan Renovations at a trade show and I liked how they handled themselves. Talking with them I mentioned that my siding was looking shabby. They mentioned that there was a recent hail storm in my area that possibly contributed to the damaged siding. They mentioned that my insurance might cover hail damage. So i invited them out for a free inspection. Once there, It didn't take long for Ryan Renovations to show me the damage that the hail caused. He has a very bright hand held light that easily showed the hail damage. I was astonished how much damage I DID have on my siding. I then filed a claim with my insurance company. On the day that the adjuster came out Ryan was there to point out all the hail damage, the adjuster agreed and wrote out a check to me on the spot. Ryan Renovations then scheduled my job and did beautiful work, in a timely manner . Any time during the construction project that I called Ryan Renovations with ANY questions I either got someone one the line or was called back promptly. The job went smoothly, the crew was courteous, and cleaned up completely! This was a dream come true. From meeting someone at a trade show to having my siding and gutters replaced and all I had to pay was my insurance deductible. I have already recommended Ryan Renovations to my friends and family members. Having a construction company you can trust is a treasure.

I had called Ryan Renovations for an estimate on replacing 3 windows in my 1940s Georgian style home in Chicago, IL. His number was given to me from another customer of his. I was a little apprehensive because of the distance, being in Chicago, but Ryan was actually a little early! He was very professional & well-prepared for our meeting, bringing along samples of his windows, colors, etc. I chose a mid-range window & his price was below what I had gotten from 3 other estimates. My biggest problem was the size of the double-hung windows in the front of the house. The other 3 companies said that the openings were too large for double-hung windows because vinyl sags & they wouldn't hold up to the weight of the glass. Ryan, however, assured me that his window frames were reinforced & perfectly able to handle the weight. I also wanted wood grain on the inside & white on the outside & he said that would not be a problem. Ryan also threw in the aluminum cladding around the windows free of charge. We signed the contract that night. I also stated that we were interested in him looking at our roof because a tile had blown off during a terrible wind storm. We weren't sure if we needed to replace or just repair the roof. He went up on a ladder to check to roof out & very honestly told us that the roof still had a few more years left in it & we only needed the 1 tile replaced. He said he would send his roofer by when he was in our neighborhood to tack a new tile in free of charge! He very easily could have told us we needed a new roof & we would not have know any different. I feel that this is the type person & company I want to deal with. It only took about 1 week to get my custom windows made. We scheduled the installation for only 2 days later! His workers were extremely neat & clean, covering the inside as well as the outside. They were all business & very friendly. Every bit of old caulk, paint and window was removed. I didn't have to do any follow-up cleaning. Ryan also came by the job while his men were here to make sure all was going well. He gave us a small thank you gift as well for choosing his company. I will be calling him when it comes time to replace our roof.

I had aluminum siding with slip-in insulation behind it. I had gone the usual route of getting estimates based on recommendations from friends, etc. I never felt comfortable with any of these salesmen until I met with Ryan. He previously did my windows and roofing. Right from the beginning, I liked his manner. We spent some time just getting to know each other, and seeing what we had in common. He struck me as having a good background with the products I needed. I never felt pushed or rushed into making a decision. He had all the samples I needed to see and a nice computerized presentation which answered all my questions, and we did a survey of the project together. We agreed on a price and his men showed up on the job as scheduled. His men were well trained, and cleaned up after themselves. They spoke English and did the work the old fashioned way...by hammer and nail (no nail guns)! When the job was completed, you couldn't even tell there had been work done because of their excellent pick-up of materials. They installed the proper insulation behind the new vinyl siding, framed the door and window openings better than the originals. Ryan certainly earned my trust for future work at my house; after all the material and labor are guaranteed forever. I feel that he is my contractor from now on, and the only one I will be calling.

I needed a new roof, so I set out to get prices from contractors. I knew of 2 roofing companies from friends who had dealt with these people. I got their prices but really didn't feel comfortable with either of them. I decided to call Ryan Renovations up because of previous contact with them. I had great success with them the first time I used them, but wasn't sure if they did roofing. I set up an appointment with Ryan. He arrived at the agreed upon time, [which is a rarity these days]. I had reservations about the job because the gambrel roof had copper flashings installed where the roof pitch changes, and also at the ridge line. The other 2 contractors told me I would have to install new copper flashings because they said they couldn't salvage the old copper. This was disturbing to me because of the sky rocketing price of copper these days. Ryan however didn't see a problem with reusing the old flashings, stating that his roofers were quite good at copper work and he would guarantee it for 10 years. That coupled with the fair price he quoted me, as well as his past performance at my house was enough for me, so I agreed to have him do the job. His men showed up at the appointed day, and the job went flawlessly. They stripped the old shingles and tar paper off the roof, used 6 feet of ice and water shield, replaced a bad sheet of plywood, installed lifetime shingles, and completed the job in outstanding time. One thing I know for sure, I am through going through the process of getting bids from other contractors. I have found what I was looking for in Ryan Renovations. I can't say enough for the quality of his work, along with the way he cleans up the work site. They went over the whole area with a magnet to make sure it was cleaned up properly.

I have a 100+ year old house. It had older replacement windows that I had installed when I moved in 40 years ago. They were never satisfactory, but were better than the old double hung ones that were original to the house. I had heard of Ryan's company from a neighbor, and decided to have him out to give me some ideas on how to improve our heating costs. Ryan arrived at the agreed upon time, and we were impressed with his friendly, no pressure approach. He had window cut-away samples and a computer with him. That was a much better idea than just pictures. He took his time measuring all my windows, and taking the time to check wall thickness, and the fact that my house is plastered, and has siding on the outside. His knowledge of construction was impressive. He presented his product in a easy to understand manner, and did not try to pressure me. I believe that he realizes that he has an impressive product, and that it will just about sell itself. We agreed on a price, and a date to begin. The windows arrived on the agreed date. The workers who did the installation were outstanding, and very courteous. They cleaned up after themselves, used drop cloths where necessary, and there was no mess afterward. I should mention that I had gotten other price quotes previous to having Ryan out to our house. I have always thought that a person must sell himself before he can sell his product. The other three companies that were out did not impress me like Ryan did. I spent my whole life in construction, and Ryan's knowledge was the only one I was comfortable with. He has always responded to any questions I have had. The windows that were installed have been perfect as far as I am concerned. We feel that the low-E glass and the superior frame material have saved us much money in heating and cooling costs. I have a very brittle type of siding on the outside of my house, and the workers took extra precautions to insure that none of the siding was damaged during the replacement process. The worker who oversaw the installation, was a master with the caulking gun. They completed their work in one day.

Everything went great, Ryan arrived to measure all of my windows and then he showed us all of the available options for replacement windows and explained the cost differences of each and the pros and cons of each. When we made our choice for the window options Ryan promptly provided us with a written quotation which was much lower than I thought it would be because I already had two other estimates from other companies which were much higher. I gave the job to Ryan and he did not let me down. They performed the work on schedule, took the time to do a perfect job and the fit and finish was great. His workers were neat and clean, put down tarps in the house so that nothing got dirty. They did the job very fast and it was done and completed in record time and it looks great. I wish I had him replace my windows years ago, what a difference it has made. My heating bills went down and it is much quieter in the house. The quality of the windows was excellent and the warranty was great. Ryan followed up with me twice since the job was completed just to make sure I was still happy with the work. I told him that this was the best experience I had ever had with a contractor. What a wonderful company.

Ryan from Ryan Renovations arrived at my house at the exact time of the appointment we made with him. During the appointment Ryan surveyed the work outside and took measurements and then drew all of this up on his computer. Ryan then took more than 2 hours to fully explain what he proposed to do and how his employees would perform the work. We used his computer to choose colors and materials for the siding. Using the computer to place the siding on the photo of our house on the computer was amazing and allowed us to pick the right color the first time. He also showed me photos on his ipad of other siding jobs his company performed and I must say that they all looked fantastic. He showed me before and after photos and I could not believe the difference. I then called 2 more siding companies for quotations. Their sales people did not spend the time with us like Ryan did to fully explain the process. I then called Ryan back and awarded the job to him. His crews arrived in 1 week just as he promised, performed all of the work exactly like Ryan explained it to us. The workers also took the time to show us what they were doing. Their attention to detail was excellent. I can't believe how good their job was and how it improved the looks of our home. All of the workers cleaned up the site each day when they were completed. When all of the work was completed I was more than 100% satisfied because the work turned out better than I ever could have imagined. I would highly and I mean highly recommend Ryan Renovations to anyone. They are the best. Ryan is trustworthy and very honest. What he says really happens and all of the work was done as promised. This is the 3rd time I have used Ryan Renovations and you would think by now that I would have realized that there is no reason to call anyone else because Ryan gives me the best product and services for the best price. This was the 2nd time I contacted Ryan Renovations for household maintenance. Ryan arrived at my house and measured the roof and they fully explained my roofing options. After we picked the roof we wanted Ryan then promptly worked up a price that was more than 40% lower than Sears for the same roofing materials. I then gave Ryan the job, he scheduled it and his workers arrived on schedule and completed the job in 1-1/2 days when they told me it might take 2 days. They cleaned up everything each day and removed all of the debris. You could not tell that they were even there after they left. The roof looks great and he performed the work on budget and sooner than I expected. His workers were excellent and Ryan is a good businessman who treats the customer with respect and asks wthem what they want, not what he wants. Fantastic company and would recommend them to anyone who needs a roof. I am 100% satisfied and many neighbors have asked me who did the roof and they eventually hired Ryan Renovations to do their roof.

The person that came to our house was nice, but wouldn't take no for an answer and over stayed his welcome. Although the product looked to be of great quality, it was way over priced.

The wood trim on our house was in pretty bad shape. Woodpeckers had got to the trim around the chimney and the satallite dish was hanging by a thread. We called around for some estimates, and had a handful of contractors come out, they would walk around the house, measure the sides, and in a few days get back to us with a quote. That is why I found it strange when Ryan requested both of us be present when he gave his quote. He wasn't there just to measue and get back to us later. He gave us a brief presentation on his laptop, showed us the company's profile on Angies List and BBB, he educated us as to what our rights were as consumers. My first impressions of Ryan remain unchanged. I thought he was passionate about his buisness, honest, and professional. When he presented the quote, he wrote out each detail on what services would be provided. The job started in a few days time and the two man crew did an amazing job. The guys were respectful of our property, they cleaned up behind themselves, and I never saw them taking it easy. The crew was very accomadating, we had asked them to finish around the chimney first because we had Dish Network coming out to reset the dish in the morning. Ryan was by after the work was completed to make sure that we were satisfed with the work, I also received a follow up call a month later to make sure we were still happy. I look forward to using Ryan Renovations again in future when we replace the siding and windows. This is the type of company that builds realationships and trust with its customer, instead of looking for the one time sale. I can not recommend them enough.

Ryan and Mike knocked on the door one day and asked if we were interested in new siding for the home. We agreed to an appointment for a presentation and an estimate. Ryan came with a laptop computer presentation about his company that also showed examples of his work. We were impressed with his personality and the way he interacted with us. He and Mike worked hard with our insurance company to make sure that all expenses for repair of hail damage to the building were included in the settlement. Once that was settled, it was an easy job to sit back and watch Ryan's crew go to work. They paid careful attention to the smallest of details (e.g., repairing trim around a door and covering the trim with aluminum) that turn a good job into a great job. Completion was delayed by a day due to heavy rain; but, the crew was on the job on days when the weather was only slightly bad. Already, neighbors and passers-by are complimenting the new look of our home. We are very proud and thankful to Ryan and his crew for their role in this transformation.

Ryan came out to give us an estimate. He spent a couple of hours with us discussing various options. We were happy with the estimate and decided to go ahead and have the windows installed. A few days later the windows were measured and withing 3 weeks the windows were installed. All the employees were professional and competent. The windows are great and we plan to have additional work done by Ryan Renovations.
