While the scheduling was sometimes frustrating, they remained professional and Rebecca was very communicative. Most important they did a splendid job. They replaced the old driveway, widened it a bit, and put in the new one. Exceedingly efficient once they got here and very careful. The new outline of the driveway was exactly the way I had hoped, and the final product exceeded my expectations. They cleaned up splendidly after the demolition and after the putting in the new driveway. Pricewise they were very close to other bids, but the product they delivered [e.g., depth of gravel, thickness of asphalt] was superior.

Called the provider and asked for a quote on a two car turnaround. They told me that they could not get the materials to perform the work, but referred me to another party to do the excavation work so we could at least use the turnaround for the winter. Then they told me to call back in the spring and it would be no problem getting them out to pave it, as the secondary party is who they use for excavation anyways and they know he does good work. Upon calling them this spring, they said they were not interested in the job because it is to small for them to consider. Very unprofessional and lousy service. After referring me to someone else who does the excavation work, we now do not know if another paving company will want to redo the excavation and gravel setting phase of the driveway work now. In my book a job is a job and if my job is to small for you to even consider, then I guess it's your loss and I can get someone who will have a more professional attitude towards intentional customers. I would not recommend this company to anyone

Job was completed professionally and as of December, still looks great. Final cost = quote, no surprises. I would definitely recommend this company for a blacktop driveway.

Throughout the whole process, including my request for a second estimate to include some additional footage and scheduling that was hampered by unusually bad weather, Liberty Paving, Oswego, Illinois, exhibited considerable courtesy toward me and professionalism for the task at hand. The driveway in question had some drainage problems, I thought, no doubt due to poor grading when it was paved before or just poorly paved. Some drying time was required between grading and paving to allow for the moisture to dissipate to assure that when it was paved, that it would last. I was made aware of all aspects from applying for the permit to the scheduling and the hows, whys, and when the job site action would commence. The man who estimated also graded and paved so that there was never anything lost from concept to completion. All requests were adhered to exactly as prescribed by me and if I could use something higher than A+ to describe the results, than I would. I'm extremely pleased by the obvious quality of workmanship and of the company, itself. The man and his crew showed esprit de corps about the task, each playing his part and also helping out when an extra effort was required at some point or needed by his co-workers. Asphalt paving, to my re-collection is a dirty job, however, you never would have suspected that from the appearance of the men or their machines. It was like that "Good Mechanic" you might have known in your past who does an excellent job for you but somehow never gets a drop of oil or grease on himself. How is that done? I guess it shows a great amount of expertise and experience to eliminate any and all confusion about what to expect when you're doing that dirty job. All in all, it was a good experience for me to have found such a good company for what I needed done. And I found it here on Angie's List. Lucky me!!! Liberty Paving rocks!!! Have I failed to mention that the price was NICE!!!

Initially called and left a voice mail looking for a quote, they returned my call within 24 hours, and had someone out that weekend to inspect the site and a written quote was then provided that same day. Their suggested scope of work and specifications matched that of other area contractors and their pricing was in-line as well. The project was scheduled and we secured out permit. Liberty arrived promptly on the date of installation with what appeared to be clean and well maintained equipment. Their employees were polite and spoke professionally. The quality of their work appeared to be very professional and the final product looked great. We later had a very large asphalt contractor at our home to do some specialized asphalt stamping and they also commented on the professional job done by these folks, they were impressed. Would absolutely utilize this company again and would highly recommend them to you!

Excellent experience. Final price matched estimate exactly. Lowest bid received too! Very friendly, knowledgeable and respectful receptionist (Rebecca). Very prompt service. They also worked around my schedule. The foreman and every member of the crew were very knowledgeable, professional, respectful and motivated! It was impressive to watch this group work so fast and pay attention to detail. This company is so well run that even all the equipment looks new!
