Description of Work: They put a new roof on the house.

Description of Work: My house sustained hail damage from a storm on May 20th 2014. After an initial claim denial I used In & Out as they were used by a bunch of neighbors previously with great results. This has been a very long and drawn out process. They claim to be "In & Out" in two weeks from initial payment or insurance check "weather dependent". They seem to use weather as their go-to excuse for being behind. They mentioned weather at least a dozen times to me. Despite having great weather they continued to claim that they were behind due to the weather. There were many days when they claimed they couldn't work due to the rain chance all while several other contractors were working away on other people's roofs. I did not want materials sitting in my driveway forever, but half of the materials were just randomly dropped off on July 4th with no notice. I informed Jim one of the project managers that Sunday that not all materials were received. He seemed to not care and make it seem like it was somehow my problem that not everything was dropped off. My date kept getting pushed further and further out. I got to the point where I asked to square up over the materials and have someone else finish the job. It was my mistake not going through with that. Shortly after asking that, I had 2 project managers at my door begging for more time. First it was until Sunday July 20th and then a few minutes later it was Wednesday July 23. | |The remaining materials were dropped off on July 21st. I was assured several times by Kevin the owner that the guys would be starting Wednesday morning July 23rd. I was told previously that a roof of my size should only take 1 day to complete, but maybe a little bit of a second day to finish up some things. I was home Wednesday and in communication with Kevin the owner. He kept telling me people were coming but they never showed up. Keving dropped off the permit, which had my name spelled wrong and a different contractor listed. He didn't bother to knock or ring the bell, I suspect he didn't want to talk to me. Sometime after 3:00PM when I had to leave 2 guys showed up. Only 2 guys, no full crew like was expected. Showing up so late with only two people meant that not much was going to get done. | |Surely a full crew would be out on Thursday, right? Wrong, the same two guys slowly working for a few hours in the late afternoon/evening. At the end of two days the roof hadn't even been fully removed and what was removed was only covered with tar paper. It was forcast to rain the next day, Friday. I tried calling Kevin who never answered and did not return my call. I also called one of the project managers that did answer but got upset with me because I was "irate" and not professional. He seemed to think that sending 2 guys for a few hours a day was "getting the job done for me". | |After all that grief they did finally send a full crew on Friday and were able to get the roof done, in 3 days not the 1-2 they told me. Luckily the rain that did come in the morning was brief and less than expected. It's very nerve-wreaking having a house with no roof on it. | |The other portion they were responsible for was the fascia. This was done randomly as I had no idea anyone was coming to the house. I only knew when my dog went nuts because a contractor was peering in through the living room window. Those guys did a decent job but left without talking to me. Upon inspection they had cut corners and only replaced the slanted portions of the fascia and none of the small horizontal portions. I had clearly pointed out the damaged portions to be replaced before they started. | |Weeks later I was asked if I had gotten another check from the insurance company. At that time I asked when they were coming out to finish. Apparently they had never inspected any of the work and had no idea they weren't done. A couple weeks later, now September 10th randomly with no notice another worker come by to finish the fascia. He does a good job and at last the work is over. Contract signed 6/30, final work done 9/10. | |In the end the work done was good but the delays, bad communication, and outright lies mean I will never use this place again.

Description of Work: PUT UP ALL NEW VINYL SIDING ON MY HOUSE

Description of Work: New roof was needed. Kevin was very enthusiastic about getting our service. He was professional and his cost was comparable with my other estimates.

Description of Work: Our roof was damaged in storms last fall. We had to have the entire roof pulled off and re-done.

Description of Work: They replaced our shingle roof.
