John and his team could not have been more professional. We lost heat in one of our office spaces . They responded and came out that same day. Diagnosed the problem, gave options without being pushy and explained all the pros and cons of each. The work was done on time. Our office space was clean and the crew were wonderful to work with.

I have used them for years and they have been excellent. They are very responsive especially with emergency situations and I would highly recommend them.

Came home from a few days away and there was no heat in the house. Called Beery, and Kaleb called back. Said he'd be here in 60-90 minutes. He showed up in about 50. He worked quickly to diagnose the problem. Could have sold me on a new fan, but got it to work with just replacing the capacitor. I have a curious 7-yr old, and Kaleb let him hold the meter and read off numbers to him. Not cheap, but after hours, what do you expect? I appreciate the fast, competent work. Will definitely hire again.

They are the only ones I use. The come out every year and get my furnace ready for the season and my air conditioning for the season. They just came out in the Spring for my air conditioner. They will be back in October for my furnace.

They were good, they were really good. The service took 2 days. I think, there were 2 or 3 workers. They left the area clean. I have used them several times before.

So our house is getting older, and unfortunately, that means we finally needed to replace our AC unit. The owner John Beery delivered a no-nonsense quote that met our budget. More importantly, his friendly and straight forward manner elicited a sense of trust that won me over. John went above and beyond to make sure our old AC would work well enough to keep us cool until his company could do the install. He even called to make sure his temporary fix was keeping us comfortable. On the day of our installation, two highly skilled union workers arrived promptly at 7am to begin the task of removing our old HVAC and installing our new one. Not only were they extremely competent, but professional as well. When the job was done the house was just as perfect as when they arrived only now our house was nice and cool. The new HVAC two stage unit is so quiet I can’t even tell that it is running. I am so pleased with our decision. Thanks to the Beery team!

A worker from Beery came right when he said he would arrive and stayed until he was confident that our furnace was fixed. I was very impressed by how much he explained to me what he was doing to fix the furnace. He also explained what I could do if by some chance I had any issues again over the weekend so I could wait to have someone come back during the week to avoid a weekend fee. When it came time to pay for service there were no surprises, the bill was exactly what I expected based on talking to the receptionist when scheduling the repair service. I wouldn't hesitate to use Beery again!

Install team arrived promptly as promised. Completed the entire removal and install in under 5 hours. Time enough to get the house comfortable before the heat of the day set in. Answered questions I had and briefed me on maintenance procedures for going forward. Very professional in action and ability. The quote process was painless, the install went smoothly. Technician even remember the house from 5 years ago in the winter, when I had him remove the cooling coils in order to clean the below grade duct work after sewage overflowed in the to duct

It went very well. I had them do my parents house because I was very happy with them. There were two people who completed the job. They are very friendly and professional. The owner is very knowledgable. The staff is very friendly as well.

We've used them for years. They show up on time, they do a good job for us and they've been professional. They are very easy to work with and they took care of what needed to be fixed.

I obtained quotes from 7 HVAC contractors. Although Beery was not the lowest price, they were the most responsive, knowledgeable and professional. John Beery knew we had a badly cracked furnace and with the heating season coming he made the extra effort to have his crew do the install on a Saturday to ensure we would not be without heat. His team of Phil, Jordan and Dave agreed to do it without charging overtime! They arrived exactly on time (even the owner John showed up!) and completed the job within the time they said they would. Everything was very clean and neat when they left. The completed job looks great and it runs great and quietly just as we were promised. I liked how they took the time to explain how the system works. At no time did John Beery try to sell us something I did not need or want (contrary to other contractors who came in). He performed a Manual J calculation to verify correct system sizing. I would be very happy to use them again and plan to have them come and perform our annual system service/maintenance. Will be looking for A new HVAC provider that follows up with their customers. We need a humidifier and someone that cares & wants the business will be the right contractor. The tech was good at servicing the furnace & AC unit. He also installed a digital thermostat.

At the end of summer 2013, we called Beery when our a/c wasn't working. It was on its last legs and patched up to get us through the rest of the summer. They recommended a new unit the following year. In early April, the furnace was on the fritz. An employee came out to check it and clean it. It's been fine ever since. John came out to give an estimate on our a/c while the furnace was being repaired. He reviewed what we currently have in our home and discussed our options. We chose them to install a new a/c unit. Because we'd been having issues with the water heater, we also asked them to install a new one. We were given a discount due to having 2 services completed at one time. We needed to reschedule the installation due to family issues, and they were very accommodating.

BEWARE! "Free estimates" does not mean a free estimate on the cost of repairs. I thought I was getting a free estimate on what it would cost to repair a one year old Whirlpool hot water heater VS the cost of a new, more reliable model. I was surprised to get a $105 bill for a less than 30 minute visit in which nothing was repaired. Plumber could not tell me with certainty what all the damage was from, but had an idea that another $300 plus parts might fix it. I was never told at the time of scheduling the appointment that it would not be a free estimate. Even more distressing is that this $105 does not go towards the cost of the future repair. I immediately called the Beery office and a plumbing supervisor LAUGHED at me and told me that "If we didn't charge we would go out of business" and "no one gives free estimates". I have found plenty of other contractors in the past on Angies list that do come out to your house to tell you what it will cost to repair your roof, patio, window trim, garage door, etc. for no charge or will apply the initial charge to the cost of the repair. Really disappointed after having spent thousands for a new AC unit and furnace humidifier with the same company a couple of years ago.

I don't know enough to know about their quality, but the technician was on time, professional, and gave me no reason to question his work. I would use them again.

They did an excellent job. It really improved the efficiency of my heater. It would have cost $1300 to repair a 15 year old furnace, so it was time to get this work done. The new furnace came with a new thermostat that checks the outside temperature and humidity. The new humidifier hasn't even registered on my meter as of yet and it's doing a great job.

I had this company come out because they had a sticker on our furnace so we assumed they had serviced this furnace in the past. When my wife scheduled, that seemed to be true because they had the information on our furnace. They came out the same day and were very prompt. I reiterated that the blower was making a lot of racket and that we were trying to run the fireplace to keep it from running too much. Within 15 minutes the repair man looked at it and said that my blower wheel was separating and that I needed a new blower wheel and motor. He said that the bill would $943 and that I would have to pay for $524 now if I wanted to be able to order the part and that I could be anywhere from 1 day to 1 week to get it. I did some searching on the web and I became concerned with the price. It seemed that the price for both of these installed should range, but $600 was on the high end if I needed both. Also, when I turned it back on after the service call, the blower wheel was now in complete failure. I think this was the result of the service person moving it back and forth. I don't blame him because it was obviously not in great shape to begin with, but now I have absolutely no heat and it was 6 degrees outside. I called them back and I was told that it would be 1 week to get it. I told them that I wanted to cancel because the price was so high. I was transferred to the manager and was told that they could send someone to get the part locally, but it was going to cost more to send somebody to get it. I guess that part makes sense. I asked why they were going to replace the motor when it seemed that it was just the blower wheel that failed. He said that they would not guarantee that it would be OK if I didn't replace the motor. This didn't quite make sense to me. I would asked them to guarantee the motor if they didn't replace it. Why would I want to replace a working part, however. A thousand dollar payment was not something that I wanted for Christmas. These blower wheels cost around $70-$120 or so dollars for the part and I felt that I was getting jacked. I called someone else and they came out and had it operational within about an hour or so of me calling them. It was also a small fraction of the cost that I was going to get charged from this provider. The also charged me $105 dollars to come to the house for the 15 minute diagnostic and I am only about 5 block from their business. I know this is not too uncommon, but it is still irritating. My advice would be to fix it yourself when you can. The web is great for this. If you are in a hurry as I was with no heat, don't feel pressured. It is always hard when it is an emergency because you need your car to get to around or you need heat in the winter. Call around and find someone that will provide a fix at a fair price. Most of what I have provided in this review is just pure facts and I tried to say away from to much personal take on this, but you can get the idea that I am not too happy with them. I'll let you be the judge on whether my take on this is fair. I should also point out that everyone that I dealt with were polite and nice.

We experienced some difficulty in getting our warranty honored by the manufacturer -- not sure whether that was a problem with Berry or American Standard. Apart from the that the experience met our expectations

Steve the tech did a great job! Very friendly and professional. Beery is a little pricey but Steve really exceeded my expectations. Although this wasn't an overly complicated job, I can rest assured that is was done properly and very professionally. I would use them again. Remember, the lowest price isn't always the best work product. I've fallen victim to this in the past. I consider this work a very good value.

Beery's crew of installers for all the work we had done was outstanding. The install work was done timely, efficiently and looks great. The proper installation of a new A/C and furnace, along with humidifier and whole house air cleaner is critical. The job Beery did looks great and all systems are operating just as described. New system(s) are so much quieter and efficient. The install of the "water commander" (highly recommended for peace of mind during heavy rainfalls) was done very well. In several instances, Beery's crew went above and beyond to rectify some problems with the old equipment/installs. They are very conscientious employees. Beery may be be a little higher than some estimators, but you can feel confident knowing you will get the job done properly. Lots of emphasis by Beery on quality. I'm done with seeking quotes, etc. from any other HVAC contractors in the future. Beery will be our only source for continuing maintenance, etc. Nice people! Give them a call and know you got the right company.
