We just moved into a new home and the previous owners had cats. I'm allergic to cats so we decided to have one of the carpets completely cleaned (the one room we weren't replacing the flooring in) and the air ducts cleaned. After the company arrived, I then discovered that they can also clean tile/grout and asked him to clean the tile/grout in both showers. I was shocked to see the equipment used. It's one big machine in the back of the owner's van and they use this one machine to clean the air ducts, carpeting, grout, etc. For air duct cleaning, basically they stick a long vacuum hose into the vents and suck out the debris. That's it. No scrubbing or anything. Then, for carpet cleaning, they use the same contraption but with a carpet cleaning attachment to the hose. The carpeting in our basement was wet for 48 HOURS and that was with running a fan and having a dehumidifier on. The worst was the tile/grout cleaning. It cost the most and when I returned to see the work, the tile/grout looked like it hadn't been touched. There was still mold and mildew in the grout. For over $100 for that service alone, I expected our showers to be perfect. The company then went to my mother's home and I was there to watch them work. Same shotty work. What's worse is that not only were her carpets soaking wet but the owner's assistant treaded mud up the stairs of my mother's home as he was leaving! While the owner was very nice, overall I'd say that the work done was poor at best. Cheap? Yes. Seemed like a great deal? Absolutely! But definitely not worth it.
