Robert's General Masonry Repair

Robert, the owner, was very professional and nice. He explained everything that needed to be done and thoroughly answered all my questions. His pricing is very reasonable and I was extremely pleased with his work. Robert and his workers were on time and completed the job neatly and cleaned behind themselves. I would definitely recommend him for any tuck pointing work anyone would need to have done. Robert is very pleasant and honest with what he does and has no problem explaining any other work he notices that needs to be done which is out of his scope. I appreciated his candor, helpfulness and professionalism.

Work was very professional. Robert arrived as committed and work was completed on-time and within original budget. Work area was covered with tarps and thoroughly cleaned when he was done.

Robert is a very thorough and professional tradesman. He recommended restoration to the sheet metal joints on the copings on the roof above the leak, as well as waterproofing the masonry surrounding the window where the leakage occurred. Robert agreed to what was a small job and completed it on a Saturday morning so I wouldn't have to wait weeks due to his other larger commitments. Robert also was very helpful and spent time discussing the pros and cons of the other quotes I received and as a result, modified his proposal with the most critical repairs as a first step. Robert communicated well, provided me with both a detailed estimate and invoice and walked me through all his work when completed. A+

The work went great, finished under the time quoted. Crew was super clean to the point you never knew they were there. Robert called to follow up more than once. He was super nice and helpful.

Robert is fantastic! Very personable, honest, and fair and trustworthy! These qualities are often difficult to find in any service you contract. He is knowledgeable about is line of work and explains the tasks well. Your satisfaction with the job is important to him. His estimate was more than fair and the work was completed timely and professionally. He cleans up and removes all debris. I would highly recommend him to anyone I and everyone I know. I have also hired him to complete some foundation work in my basement which he also is knowledgeable about and reasonably priced.

He came to my house and later sent me a quote to which I agreed. We scheduled the job and he arrived on time and promptly got to work. After tearing into the chimney chase on the roof he found that the job was much more extensive than would be the norm. The whole chase and fireplace was solidly packed with mortar and brick - as apposed to being a lined framework with an interior flue. He had the original dumpster, that had been filled by noon, removed and another dropped. He worked from 7Am to 8PM to complete the job he had committed to without complaint. Even after a brutally long and exhausting day he was polite and professional in seeking to insure that I was satisfied with the job performed. Stand-up guy. Couldn't ask for better.

Robert and his team did an excellent job. They came on time and were able to complete their work efficiently without significant disruption to our family. Most importantly, Robert took the time to explain what they were doing and gave frequent updates on progress. He even took pictures along the way to show me what they were doing. In the end, he was certain that they identified and resolved the problem. The most refreshing thing about Robert is that he continued to follow up with me to make sure that the problem was fixed. How many providers do that? He is the more responsive provider I have ever dealt with. I would enthusiastically recommend Robert to anyone that needs masonry repair work.

We hired Robert again to tuckpoint another side of our house. He was able to fit us in very quickly into his schedule because he knew that our issue had to do with water in the basement and there was rain in the forecast. He was able to get all the work done in a few hours in the morning and came back the next day to chemical clean the bricks. He was fast and gave us a great price since we were repeat customers. I am happy to say that we have had no water in the basement on the side that he tuckpointed since he completed his work.

Robert was very prompt. He came out within a couple days to repair my chimney. He caulked the flashing and put on a cover to prevent animals from coming in. I really appreciated that he took photos before and after his work so I could see what he had done.

Robert, the owner, returned my initial call promptly, was polite and set up an appointment to see the work right away. Gave a fair price and did the work on a Saturday and Sunday! Workmanship was superior. Took pictures to show me what the top of the chimney looked like-both before and after (since I didn't go on the roof). Cleaned up his work area. Very honest and professional man. Would definitely use this company again!

Robert was courteous, professional and provided excellent results. He fixed five step cracks in my home and the caulked my window sills. He was on time for his estimate and scheduled work time. Our chimney leaked every time it rained. We tried 4 different companies before we found Robert's General Masonry. Robert expertly repaired and sealed our oddly shaped, 50 year old chimney. His quality work repaired our chimney and now we have no leaking for the first time in 11 years. I HIGHLY recommend his company for any chimney repair/masonry/tuckpointing. He is professional, friendly, honest and hardworking. I hope to not need his services in the future, but if I do, I will not hesitate to use his company again.

Robert was extremely prompt and professional. I sent him pictures of the job, he asked follow up questions, and really understood what needed to be done. He did not push me for the job and quoted me a fair price. While I did the work myself - for reasons other than price etc. - Robert was my top choice from among 10+ people I talked to. What distinguished him was the fact that he took interest in my situation, which was unique. I would use him the first chance I get.

Our chimney had not been tuckpointed in many years and a lot of the bricks were very loose. Robert came out and gave me us a fair estimate. He did not give us the lowest estimate but we had used him before and I knew he did a good job. I hired him and he and his crew came out a few weeks later. Once they started working they found that it was a bigger job than Robert originally thought it would be. The bricks were actually loose below the roof line. Even so Robert did not charge us any more for the work. They did a beautiful job on our chimney. They matched the color of the grout so you can't tell where they actually tuckpointed. This is the third time I've used this company. They have done an excellent job every time they have come out. I'm happy to recommend them to anybody.

Their prompt response; I left a message and I was contacted about 6 minutes later. I thought that was a fair price and they were able to do it very well. To get the quote; he called and asked if I could send him some pictures. So 20 minutes later, I sent him some pictures and I got a preliminary quote about an hour later.

I first contacted Robert on Tuesday. By the next day he was at my place for an observation of the job and to give me an estimate. When he assessed the work that needed to be done he gave me an honest quote to repair the chimney. He explained to me, so that I could understand, what was wrong with the chimney and what needed to be corrected and how he would correct it. Robert has a very professional and honest manner. He gave me a quote that was within my budget. It was not the lowest quote I received but it wasn't near the two highest quotes I received. It was in the middle. After Robert's quote and an explanation of the job he would do, I was convinced he was the competent man for the job. He started the job a few days later, on Saturday, arriving on time and prepared with adequate equiptment. He prepared the space he was working around, placing a cover over our landscaping, my wife loved that, and began working. He did an excellent, complete and thorough job. He even did extra work to ensure I would not have problems in the future that he did not charge for. After finishing he took me on the roof up the ladder to view the work he did. The work looked excellent! It was a clean and complete job. He was done within an adequate amount of time. After finishing the job he pressure washed part of my home that was badly stained. After he finished the concrete looked new. If you want a great job done at a great price. Get Robert for the job.

Robert was very responsive and was on time whenever he said he would meet. The job involved several location where the mortar was eroded and one portion of of a face brick had to be replaced. The joints between the stone sill had to be ground out and new caulk was installed. I thought matching the color of the mortar would be a challenge but Robert did a great job. He started at 7:30 am just as he said he would The job took approximately 5 hours. It looks great and I would definitely recomment him to anyone.

I couldn't have asked for a better repair experience. I had contacted Robert late in 2012 beyond the period for outdoor mortar work. He came to my home as agreed to give me an estimate. We discussed the job and he gave me a very resonable quote. He encouraged me to speak to other coontractors and get additional estimates. After doing as he suggested, I found that he had given me the best price. He also had a good idea of what would be the best approach to my repair job. I let the time get away from me and did not get in touch with him again until April, 2013. He was tied up with jobs until late August but promised me that he would complete my job before Fall. He did as promised and I am very happy with the result. He was very concerned that I was satisfied with the results and went beyond the call of duty to be sure! On the day of the work, Robert arrived earlier than promised and finished the job earlier than I expected. This was important to me because we were planning a celebration for that evening. Iwould happily recommend Robert and intend to do so.

Robert was wonderful to work with. He is extremely professional and honest. Start to finish, our entire experience with him was smooth and pleasant. In preparing an estimate he walked around our home and pointed out spots that needed repair that we had not yet noticed. He was able to give an estimate on the spot, in addition to an emailed copy. He understood that we were on a tight budget and did not pressure us in any way to create a job larger than it needed to be. Robert was also able to put an end to a debate about what was causing a leak from our roof into our living room. He took photos of damage caused by the company that installed our new roof and explained the problems thoroughly to us. We are now able to provide evidence to the roofers that they caused the problem. The roofing company gave us a $3500 dollar estimate to repair our "old and crumbling" chimney, whereas Robert did the work for $100 extra to our original estimate of $950 and proved that the damage was not from natural wear and tear. If I could give a grade higher than an A, I would.

We are selling a home and needed to have our chimney tuckpointed in response to the inspection report. I called Robert on Wednesday and our explained our situation. He made an appointment for Saturday to give us a quote and came prepared to do the job. The quote was within our budget and he did the job on the spot and completed it beautifully. Did I mention we were out of town and most of our communication took place via texts and pictures?! Super convenient. Called Robert in late July to repair the threshold on our front door. While he repaired that, he inspected the houses exterior and found the chimney needed repairs ASAP. He took pictures with his iPhone so I didn't have to climb a ladder to see the damage. Very poorly done masonry by original builder. He told us it would be a number of weeks but called on July 31st and said, "How about Saturday!" We were thrilled. He arrived on time - with crew to repair the damages. He returned a few nights later to remove the wooden form and check that everything was okay. This is about the 5th or 6th job I've had Robert do for our family and have been so pleased with everything he has done. I'm happily referring him to friends whenever possible. Robert will return for some inside work as his schedule permits. I highly recommend this company and this owner - purely professional in all matters and very responsive. Thanks again Robert.

What I liked about Robert's Masonry was he showed up exactly on time, on the date promised for both the estimate and work to be performed. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about his work. He photographed the damage from the second story of my home so I could visibly see the damage without having to climb the ladder. He explained exactly what needed to be done and explained exactly the products he would be using. The work was done promptly and most of all done well.
