Everything went very smoothly. Estimate received was the lowest price and offered the best value. They Installed the next day. Very professional with a strong warranty.

They are good. They are fantastic. I would recommend them. They are prompt for their appointments. They answer any questions that I have in a timely manner. I would give them an "A" for everything. I have two units, so the price was $79 per unit. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

They were excellent. They were on time. They don't up-sell. I dealt with the sales guy and there were two service guys did the installation. It took them 4-5 hours to complete the service.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY : I called in today. Spoke w/Drew who refused to give me his last name or connect me with a Manager, and told me the managers would side with him anyway and hung up on me. I called back twice and reached a woman on the second attempt. She connected me with Mike who said he is a Manager. I had a complaint that Jerry charged me to put extra freon in my a/c which did not really require any, just to make it a colder bc that's what he told me. I found out that was not the case, and was cheated out of $65.00 for Freon that was not added. I had already paid $59.95 service charge, and $236.00 for a capacitor. The very least that could've been offered is a courtesy call just to make sure the feon was added. I was told today there would be a charge of they come back out. Mike talked to me like I am stupid, he was very uncaring, arguementative, and rude. He also told me no matter how many reviews I do or complaints I make online bc "people do that type of stuff all the time" he would just go behind the comments and write his own comment to deny what happened. Apparently Mike at Polor hearing and cooling feels as though they are untouchable and ALL consumers are not smart each to take heed and listen to each other. I know this may not change some ppl minds but if it will help someone make the right decision on which company to choose them my job is done. Especially single women and seniors. DO TRUST THIS COMPANY. Jerry also gave me some bogus information about the size and the need of my furnace needed for my home. Luckily I always get second and third opinions. When I called him directly with questions hoping he had made a mistake, bc he seemed so genuine and nice, he asked if he could call me back and never have. Unprofessional!

We have the boilers. We don't have furnaces. We have a warranty there so we don't have much of a choice. They have a couple locations. There were no issues. i don't know what other people charge for cleaning. The workers that came out were okay. It was just for a cleaning.

They came out yesterday to evaluate the issue and sent people back out today with the actual furnace to replace. We've been with them for over 10 years. A fair honest evaluation. No up charging or over selling. They really there to get whatever is specifically needed solved. I have some accessories with my previous furnace to clean the air and they told me I didn't need that unless you're a smoker or something like that. I was ready to spend an extra $500 for something I didn't need. They said 9 out of 10 times they have to come back to repair that which ends up costing as much. They were honest about that.

They have always been the same. A all around.

They have cleaned my furnace, they have replaced the furnace, they have replaced the air conditioning, they have done quite a bit of service. Their service has been very satisfactory. I would recommend them.

The techs were very professional. They sent two men to do job and both were friendly and showed me what they were doing and showed me what filters I would need. They did a check to make sure the unit was working. They eve showed me how to work the new thermostat.

It was great this company knows how to do great work I highly recommend them

own a 2 bedroom 1400 square foot condo in Lakeview with an 18 year old furnace and AC unit. The blower motor on the furnace was failing so it was time for a new furnace and figured I'd replace the AC unit at the same time since you get a discount for doing both. I called got quotes from Polar, Oasis, Guardian and Shavitz based on yelp reviews. I just needed a simple replacement of a 80% furnace and 2.5 ton 13 SEER AC unit...no duct work or fancy upgrades. Polar and Oasis were both in the $5-6k range fully installed. Guardian and Shavitz were around $7-9k fully installed. Get a LOT of quotes because you'd be surprised by the price range for the exact same products. For example, Polar and Guardian both use Rheem but Polar was at $5k and Guardian was at $7k for the exact same products and install. So I was down to Polar and Oasis based on price. Polar had few and mediocre yelp reviews at the time but their Angie's list reviews seemed pretty good. I was tempted to go with Oasis which had great yelp reviews...but they were about $6k for similar products. I decided to go with Polar based on cost, Angie's list reviews and a $200 off coupon on their website. Bill from Polar came out to give me the quote and when I said I would go ahead 3 guys from Polar came out the very next day and spent 6 hours removing my old units and installing the new Rheem ones. It included the furnace, AC unit, a new humidifier and a new programmable thermostat. Final price was $5,050. They were clean, professional and did a great job and the new units are working perfectly. I would give them an A+ based on lowest price, quickness and professionalism. I would definitely use them again in the future.

They were prompt and courteous. The repairman called in as soon as I told him we definitely wanted new ones to see how soon they could get it scheduled. They had a light day that day, so he was able to go get the new humidifiers and come right back to install them. All in all, he arrived for the estimate at 9am and was done around 1:30pm. He was extremely helpful in telling me how to care for them and making sure we were happy. They are working great. We will definitely have them back.

Extremely well. They were on time, professional and work was completed as indicated. After completion they provided us with information on how to use humidifiers, change filters. They cleaned the area and left it in better shape than it was upon arrival.

I initially went to Four Seasons for a quote, but their prices were not reasonable and the repairman who showed up was more focused on selling me a more expensive unit with a limited warranty.Polars prices were more reasonable, the repairman was awesome and their heating unit was better, less expensive and had a better warranty than Four Seasons. I have recommeded them to friends and family anytime someone asks about the heating and cooling recommendations.

I arrived home on a frigid day to find the heater in my apartment making a horrible noise. I knew it was dying just by that awful sound it was making so I called Polar and scheduled a visit for the next day. My suspicion was confirmed that the motor was dying but they would try to find a replacement. All efforts to find a new motor failed. Polar returned within a day with a new wall unit and thermostat. Once the furnace was functional, my apartment is warmer than it has ever been. In view of the winter weather that followed since then, I am thankful for the knowledge and professionalism of the Polar representatives.

Requested proposal for splitting HVAC into 2 systems, including new equipment and required changes to duct work. Someone from Polar arrived on time to review the work and said they would provide a proposal - but they never did. Repeated calls asking about the proposal resulted in "we will send someone out to look again if you pay for time".

I have lived in Chicago northern suburbs since 1967 and have used many of the best known and oldest heating and air conditioning companies in the area. When the units in our present home came to be in need of replacement, we had several of these companies come to give estimates for equipment. Polar offered the best combination of cost, equipment, manufacturers, service and "extras" by far, and their salespersons were the best in every respect: personable, responsive, clear, not pushy, and not working on commission. But the proof is in the function of the equipment and the follow-up service. We could not be more pleased with the efficiency of operation, the consistency of heating/cooling in throughout the house, the immediate and friendly service for a few very minor "fixes," and the offer of an annual service plan. If we were to back up the calendar to do this again, we would do only one thing differently: we would call Polar first without hesitation.

It went exactly as expected - no surprises. The technicians came when they said they would and installed the a/c same day. I love working with Polar (Elmer Hartford's crew is very reliable and really knows their stuff. The a/c works like a charm. Same thing goes for the furnace they installed last winter!

Polar did a fantastic job from beginning to end. They were my 7th quote for this major investment and the only one that I felt was honest, respectful, and patient enough to take the time to explain everything to me in laymen terms. There are many types and price ranges of units, and it becomes complicated very quickly applying what is available to what you really need. Jerry was my salesman and supervisor and the installation went exactly as he explained. The installation took about 6 hours and the crew was very professional, neat in their work, and polite. They asked for my permission every time they needed to go upstairs to work on the thermostat, or to use the bathroom. They even announced when they were going to take their lunch break. In the end, they walked me through the use of the two units and did not leave until I was comfortable. Almost too good to be true. I will definitely use Polar for upcoming maintenance on my units, and replacement when my downstairs HVAC needs replacing.

Excellent communication and they made dealing with all the rebates painless for me. Price quoted below is net of all rebates. Can't wait to see the reductions on my utility bills!!

After a terrible experience with Four Seasons Heat and A/C, Polar Heating stepped in and saved the day. I couldn't be happier and will recommend them to all my friends and family. Reasons why i'll never use Four Seasons again: - They're all about their profit line - Their customer service sucks - They are not a client-centric company I called four seasons because my furnace wasn't working and the temperature was dropping. The repairman came out within their estimated timeframe but couldn't do the repair same day because the required part needed to be ordered. I was told the repair and part would cost $403 and had to sign the authorization form. The following day the repairman returned with the part and it took him five minutes to install it. Out of curiosity I went online to research the cost of the part and discovered it cost $35. When I questioned why I was charged $403, I was told the following: -$85 for diagnostic -$35 for part -remaining balance (approx. $283) to have licensed repairman come out. After the part was installed, he discovered my exhaust motor was malfunctioning. I was quoted $800 to fix the motor. Since I already spent $403 on a $35 part, It didn't make sense to spend an additional $800 on a 15 yr old furnace, so I opted to buy a new one. The price range I was quoted by Four Seasons for a new furnace ran between 3300.00 (for basic model) to 4200.00 depending on the model. They also wanted to charge an additional $500 for installation because the heater was located in a closet. I was able to negotiate down to $3300 for complete installation. I thought I did well, until I decided to call a couple of other places for estimates and found out Four Seasons was ripping me off. You can go to my review on Angie's list for Four Seasons to read my story and see my "F" rating. Polar Heating on the other hand is rated "A" in all aspects of business and customer service. Jerry came out within 2 hours of my call to provide me with an estimate. He assessed the situation then sat down and provided me with a very reasonable quote for a dual stage furnace by Rheem, with a better warranty, at a huge savings compared to Four Seasons. There were no hidden fees, he explained the warranty, and after hearing my crazy experience with Four Seasons, he even called into the office and spoke to Mark to negotiate a little discount. Now that's Customer Service!! The installation took place a 3 days later. The repairmen (Al and another gentleman) were wonderful. They were polite, professional and prompt. The installation was done quickly, and afterwards they cleaned everything up. I couldn't ask for a better experience from start to finish. So if you're looking for a popular name in heating and cooling, and don't mind paying more or being taken advantage of, call Four Seasons. However, if you're looking for a company that has your interest at heart, takes into account your specific situation and make the best possible recommendation at a reasonable price then call Polar Heating and Cooling. The Polar Heating team (owner, salesperson, and repairmen) are "Gold stars" in my book. I hope your experience goes as well as mine did.

I was satisfied with everything. I had super bowl Sunday, they were available so they came out Monday morning and they were prompt and they seemed very professional and did it on time, they were neat and they didn't leave a mess or anything. They did the job and they did it professionally and courteously and they left.

I've used them in the past without issue. However my furnace went out in the late evening and I called and left several messages, just asking them to call me and let me know if they could make it or not so I could call someone else if they were unavailable. At this point it was about 6 hours after my initial call to Polar, so I called them and left another message telling them never mind.

Call Four Seasons Heating and Cooling before you call these people......Never showed up to appointment as guarenteed by the person recieving the call. I did recieve a call 8 hours after intial appointment from the tech asking me if i still want their service, he sounded pretty happy when i told him I called Four Seasons instead...who came out within the hour! When i called to inform "management" I basically recieved an "oh well". Real nice professionalism. Dont guarentee something you cannot deliver. Train your staff on customer service, learn some respect for your customers.
