It didn't go well at all! First of all, I need to express my dissatisfaction with the owner of this company: John Lynch. He doesn't know how to interact with people when they have a complaint about the way his employees are performing the work. Whenever I would call him with a complaint I would hear him in the background mumbling "Oh my god, Oh my god". That's right John, "Oh my god" what a horrible job your company did. You don't even have the courage to return any of my calls to help me resolve this problem. Besides the wrong mortar color, the tuck-pointing is sloppy and not done correctly. According to the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM): Proper preparation of mortar joints should include the removal of old mortar to a minimum depth of two to three times the width of the joint to ensure an adequate bond and performance of the mortar, which your company did not do. The grass that died when applying the chemicals when they cleaned the common bricks. The wire they left on the stone area where they parked got entangled in the wheels of my new lawnmower and dulled the blade. The biggest problem of all is the brickwork on my new concrete porch. It doesn't look right. The mortar is much lighter on the new brickwork than the existing brickwork. I kept telling him it doesn't match and he kept saying it needs to dry. Well it dried and it still doesn't look right. John Lynch"s idea of resolving my problem is to have his crew sneak in my yard without me knowing, throw acid on my new concrete porch and new brickwork, connect my water hose to their pressure washer to somehow try and fix the problem. Well it didn't work: it only made it look worst. Even friends and neighbors agree that it doesn't match. While they were installing the brickwork I didn't notice soon enough that they were installing black bricks. I asked John "Where on my house do I have black bricks?" He gave me some lame excuse that he tried to match the bricks as best as he could. I told him only Red, Green and Brown bricks! He reluctantly had his crew remove the black bricks (but not all of them) and replace them, but that made things worst. The brickwork is very uneven and did I say sloppy. I also started noticing cracks in the mortar of my new brickwork and between the new brickwork and the concrete porch. I agree with the other member to STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY DO POOR WORK. I just wish the other members review was posted sooner.
Description of Work: Removed old front porch, and built new concrete porch. Installed new brick work and motar on outside of new porch. Installed 3 limestone caps. Ground out loose motar and settlement cracks and tuck-pointed face brick and chemically cleaned common brick.

Not even a year later the patio cracked and is still cracking. There is hunks of concrete falling apart and now we have holes in the concrete. We tried many times to contact the owner of the company and he completely ignored our calls. We are going to have to have this work done again in the next few years. Stay away from this company, they rip you off.

I called different companies and they had the best price. They actually did a good job on the tuckpointing and I couldn't complain about it. They started around 7:30 in the morning and worked all day. They cleaned up and didn't leave a mess on the outside. They did a good job. Their service was good and they had the best price that I could find. I would use them again.
Description of Work: I used Lally Brothers Masonry for tuckpointing on the whole house.
