Omar responded to my voice mail within 2 hours, and came for an estimate the next morning. He came 2 days later to perform the job. He/his employee were right on time, worked quickly, and left their work space spotless. Omar explained everything that needed to be done/why. I will call Omar again for any electrical work I need done.

After I awarded Excel the job, Omar and his two of two came on time and knocked the job out in less than 6 hours. Great work, Cleaned up their mess. Super efficient. These guys are trustworthy, honest and professional. They aren't going to take you for a ride on price either like many of the other quotes I got. Definitely add these guys to your list.

EXCEL electrical is professional, punctual,competent, efficient, neat, cleaned the work place, polite. Explained what needed to be done. Provided an estimate and completed the job within the estimate. They have also performed electrical work at my mother in-law's home, and at several friends homes. Great rates. The part he put is not working again. They were quick and came the same day. I used them because they were on Angie’s list and had good reviews.

They arrived on time for both the estimate and the work. They were prompt, courteous, efficient and cleaned up when they finished. They are the first contracters with whom I had a completely positive experience and for a senior woman that means a great deal. I would use and recommend them again without hesitation.

We had a bad switch in one of the bathrooms that needed to be replaced and because we are completely lame when it comes to electrical matters, we had to call an electrician. It was a simple fix, thankfully and Omar from Excel Electrical Technologies arrived at exactly the time he said he would and replaced the switch. We even had an early morning incident where the appliance bulb in the overhead light above the stove not only went out, it broke off in the socket. Omar handled that at no additional cost. Omar was prompt, neat, and extremely professional. We would not hesitate to call Excel Electrical Technologies again should we be faced with any further electrical needs

It wasn't an emergency but it had to be done. I had to go to court and of course I was very upset. There's more to the story - nothing to do with the company - but Omar from Excel was very calm and listened and he took his time and he took care of the problem. There were other things that led up to the problem that were bothering me, but nothing to do with this company. They were good - they didn't let my anger or disappointment in something else get to them doing the job for me. So that was good and I appreciated that after the fact.

I called this contractor and left a voice message. Fortunately, Omar called back about an hour later because I had just had a very unpleasant experience with another contractor. I explained that we only had partial electrical power on the 2nd floor of our home. I asked did he give free estimates and he said he did. He also said minimum charge would be $150. We set an appointment for him to come over between 8 and 9 on Monday. This was a Friday when I called so he was very quick to respond. He arrived a little after 8, which is fine. He quickly diagnosed the problem. I thought the fuse box would need replacing or some other major repair, but he said it was up to code and fixed it. Omar also replaced two or three light switches that did not work. Overall, the job took less than two hours. Omar was very professional and polite and answered all our questions. His prices seemed to be very reasonable. I plan to have some wiring done in a couple of months and this is the contractor I will call first.

During high winds, the edison power line snapped after a fairly large tree branch fell on it leaving us totally in the dark. The line snapped in two places and I was told by the edison emergency crew that the line as it enters the house was the homeowners responsibility.They were only responsible for the part that snapped from their pole. I was advised to call an electrician first and upon completion to call them back to repair their end. I checked Angie's list and found Excel. What luck!! It was a very pleasant experience. I found them to be very professional, polite, and patient. Their response time was awesome and the work was done swiftly and competently. The fee was fair, and I don't think I could have done any better. After years of hits and misses, I have found me an electrician that I will definitely call again should the need arise.

Great experience working with Excel Electrical. The 3 man crew was very professional and prompt. Omar listened to all my questions and concerns and gave feedback which was helpful. The work was done in a timely manner and even cleaned up with their own vacuum. Omar is very personable and even went out of his way to buy recessed trim and dimmer switch at the electrical store. They did a great job and the price was reasonable. I am extremely satisfied!!

While Omar and his did a great job of the work of the project, I most appreciated his advice/counsel when it came to what to address, and how. He listened to what I needed, provided insights on what was possible, and how to do it the right way, and then handled the installation in the time frame given. I couldn’t be any happier with the outcome and will seek Excel Electric out when I get ready to continue the renovation project.

I contacted EXCEL in October, 2011 along with three other highly rated Angie's list electricians; Mr. Muhammad was the only one to reply . He came out to the house, walked through the house with me as we discussed the list of repairs I wanted to have done. He made out a detailed estimate of each item, subtracted the Angie's list member discount and identified the total amount. He was agreeable to having the work done in 2 parts to accomodate my schedule. The work was completed 12/21/11 and 1/6/12. On both days, Mr. Muhammad's technicians AJ and Israel arrived promptly with all the necesssary tools , equipment and supplies and set to work. They worked continuously throughout each day, explained what they were doing, and got the job done.Clean up was fantastic ! I would highly recommend this company for their skill, work ethic and service oriented approach in dealing with customers. I plan to have them work on another list of electrical repairs and changes. Omar and Israel were great! My condo complex is old and the wiring is rather complex from a rehab done a few years back. They added a 220V outlet into a closet for a new dryer. They had to come out twice in order to get it done, but still charged me the original quoted price. These guys really know their stuff and Omar is very responsive on his phone. I've called before with electric questions and he always texts or calls back in a very timely manner. I will continue to use Excel Electric in the future and have been recommending them to friends.

Imagine, you have to oversee a new porch construction, go out of town and find an electrician in two days. Welcome to my world, luckily, I found Omar Muhammad of Excel. Mr. Muhammad was patience with me as I changed dates and times because of my time schedule. He arrived on the day and time we agreed upon ready to reinstall the meter and new porch lights. In addition to doing a wonderful job on the electrical work, Omar agreed to meet my husband who had the kids at a more convenience place for payment. Two other electricians gave me quotes about $100 less than Excel, however, I chose to work with Excel. I would highly recommend Excel especially if you are given the opportunity to work with Omar.

Arrived 8:30am and worked until about 4:30pm. Quiet and unobtrusive. Had great attitude and listened to what you wanted and said. Change in where to put three additional outlets on second floor but we worked it out. Added two additional multi outlets in the kitchen. Made sure all wiring was straight so that the use of an appliance did not knock out other lighting. Made sure that all breakers were labeled so that I would know which one controlled which room or appliance.

The gentlemen on the phone was outstanding and fixed my issue over the phone .

Omar was very punctual and polite. I was originally quoted for $500 from another electrician and Omar let me know it would be $100 max. Very happy I got a second opinion! He fixed the problem in approx 30 minutes.

Omar was very polite and nice when I spoke to him on the telephone to get an install apointment. When he came out to the house at the schulded appointment time he was extremely professional. Before he was finished I asked him how he wanted to get paid. He told me by check. When he was finished with the job he told me the price and I wrote him out the check.

I got them through Angie's List. He charged me a fair price for fixing the outlet. He went through a great explanation on the different ways to install a ceiling fan and was very clear on the different prices. He seemed very professional and knew what he was talking about. I am going to use them in the summer.

We have been wanting some lighting fixtures replaced for quite some time now, and decided it about time to do it. I looked through angie's list and got a few numbers. One of the number I called was Excel Electrical Tech. The contractor was very quick with the call back, and quoted us an estimate over the phone based on the job details I gave him. We found the quote to be very acceptable and hired them on the spot over the phone. On the day of the apointment the installer was very prompt and courteous. We showed him what we needed done in each room and provided the fixtures we had purchased. He was very quick and efficient. After he was finished with the work he cleaned up his work area and disposed of any garbage. Before he left we asked him to give us a quote on some future work we wish to have done, he took his time to let us know what our options would be, we are looking to relight our kitchen and get rid of our old fluorescent lamps and replace them with can lights. We found our overall experience with Excel Electrical to be very enjoyable. We would most definitely hire them again and would highly recommend them.

Researched electricians on Angie List to do work at my mom and aunt's 2 flat. We chose Excel. They were responsive and came out to give us an estimate promptly. We hired them to fix wiring of doorbells for all doors. They came out and worked very efficiently. The entire job took 2 hours. Omar was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with him.

This was a very good exerience from start to finish. Omar came out the same day - I called at 10:30 AM and he was there by 1 PM. He was very honest and professional about everything. He gave estimates of what repairs might need to be done and quoted very reasonable prices. After he did the troubleshooting and made the necessary repairs, all prices were as he quoted. All work was finished and everything was repaired within about 2 hours. I would definitely hire this contractor again.
